  1. I DID notice the lack of legstraps! How does the person stay in? Are you saying that you were in on that stunt? Cool!
  2. It's their first jump - why would they care about a DZ restaurant, tunnel, bunkhouse, etc.? Maybe after they start AFF, but before then all these things superfluous.
  3. That Condor looks like what was used in the beginning of Moonraker...but Moonraker was make in '79.
  4. I thought only cool gear sales chicks like you had them...
  5. To pile on to the criticism.... all your items: PD-190: f-111 canopy w/ 500 jumps? I have no idea...maybe a couple hundred max? I've heard that F-111 with around that many or more isn't worth much more than a car cover. Complete rig: Although $700 (1/3 your list) may seem cheap, your $2100 seems rather high. This is used and old technology....and no mention of an AAD (and how much life left). How can a Racer be called a "2000" but dom 4/97? Jedei: Maybe your best item, as I've heard a lot of good things about it. Still, I think it is a niche market item. $1000? Racer: same is in the "complete rig"? Raven(s?): 15 yr old reserve? Probably not a whole lot...about the same as the PD-190 Sorry man, but this is reality.
  6. I would wait at least a week if they didn't already specifically say when you should expect to hear from them. Anything sooner will sound desparate. Just because you are anxious doesn't mean they don't have other things to do. Actually adjusting claims and resolving them takes priority over hiring people, even though it will help long term to get another person in the door.
  7. I clicked through frame by frame...too hours.... No, just for the "important" frames though.
  8. And....and...OMG! I'm in the video for 2 seconds under canopy from 3:26 to 3:28!!!! Benji, great video! I must say though...my canopy colors look a tad different....and then I realized it was the Safire2 I demoed!
  9. That works, or a "I usually pack for myself, but occasionally pay a packer."
  10. OK....yes, I know. I put it on the same way everytime...or at least I try too. I just missed it this time and a real gear check sure would have helped, but I didn't ask.
  11. I understand...but again, think airline briefing video like GravityGirl said.
  12. My point still indirectly applies. A packer can whine all they want, but I have the right to choose who I give my money to pack my canopy. If I have a preference and another packer thinks they have 'dibs' or whatever, I'll pack myself if the DZ wants to be so draconian about their policies....or it may incent me to jump elsewhere. I'm the customer and they are the service provider. They don't have to give me service and I don't have to use their service either.
  13. Well, I cared enough to read....I hope that means I do give at least a shit...or more. Sorry for your loss. Grieve, but not like those who have no hope.
  14. that was actually pretty funny.
  15. Rhonda, listen to this person...she has some wise things to say....and is a very nice person. I always listen to Krisanne.

  17. Kinda knew it...was being nice. ...and I probably will!
  18. What do you mean? It was all the way "through" the keeper - it was just misrouted through the buckle, so any tension pulled the keep toward the buckle. I just didn't "get" it until we had taken off.
  19. Goody! Goody! Goody! I can't wait until I get home from work!
  20. I'm at work and having trouble containing my laughter as well!
  21. Ummmm, tom? She was using the airline seatbelt as an example of something we could do for tandems but for toggles, chest strap, etc.....and I'm glad Bonnie agrees with me! Yes, we the seatbelt thing is done for skydivers aslready.
