    I'll just say that I occasionally lurk in SC. Reading his posts though reminds me of the refridgerator magnet: "Stop using Jesus as an excuse for being a narrow minded, bigoted asshole."...which definitely applies to Robertson and his ilk....but I would turn this back and say , "Stop using Speakers Corner as an excuse to be an asshole." I will say that I think you do raise some good points in the skydiving threads though...especially the long thread on better versions of a PLF. As someone who wrestled for 4 years in High School, it definitely made sense.

    (Disclaimer: I don't know anything and probably shouldn't even be reading this thread yet.) Someone here posted recently that the initial Vision release (I think I started the thread - duh!) was WAY premature and gave it a bad rap, but after it was corrected, it is a good canopy. The point? IT IS NOW A GOOD CANOPY. I'm pretty sure Dom brought some to the Byron Boogie last fall, so I'm sure they were good Visions.

    Anyone know if these places (e.g. San Diego, Empuria, France, etc.) that require AADs accept Vigils? I'm thinking of buying one when my CYPRES expires in about 6 mos.

    I think out in the 'burbs here in NorCal, condo = townhouse in terminology. You BUY them, apartments you RENT. I tell people I own a 'condo', but I guess it is technically a townhouse since I enter from the outside, I have two floors (I only share side walls) and I have large bedroom size front and back fenced-in areas. I paid 230K for mine almost 3 years ago and could sell for about 350K right now. This is about 50 miles north of SF (The "City").

    Load 5 was the 'sunset' load at around 4:30. Load 1 left at about 12:30. A few of us deliberated driving to Lodi since they were getting full altitude, but didn't really want to do the drive.

    Did they advertise $15 for 15K for MLK? I only remember that for Labor Day and the weather was fine that day.

    First: obscure Old Testament figure...go by 3-letter common Scandinavian/Germanic nickname, but it is rather official (actually got it on my SS card). Middle: not uncommon Old Testament prophet...same as my DZ.com name.

    I have electric EVERYTHING (no gas in the Condo complex). It is expensive in winter. I don't have A/C (and don't really need it), so summer is MUCH cheaper on the PG&E. Yes, the cats have fur and don't need the place to be 65+ during the day (plus the sun helps).

    I've fished A contact ONE time....and that was using borrowed goggles. Regular flex goggles work fine.

    It was Davis. Tickets were $10 up to 5K. As the ceiling lowered, we took what we could get. As the monkey said... A couple random blue holes would appear, but not big enough or over the right areas. There were 5 loads total, and 1 & 5 were out of the cessna (others from the PAC). The last one was from about 3.9K.
