  1. Pass out under canopy? What was the situation? You "come to" before landing I assume? If there is some rehash thread, just point me to it.
  2. Thank you - I was about to post that. I don't know my nautical miles, so thanks too.
  3. No, there are not "temps" unless your DZ or gearstore happens to volunteer some...and I've never heard of it (but I wouldn't be surprised if some exist).
  4. I'm gonna go out on a limb here and say this: i've seen this dude around the forums for a while and as i understand it his old man is a DZO (iirc). He's also already filming tandems, i would guess with the consent of either his old man or the TI that he's flying with. Now while i don't agree with what he's doing there's no ways anyone on the internet shouting at him is going to make him stop. Thus i'd rather see experienced camera guys give him advice that keeps him out from under a tandem or off the TI's back and away from the drogue. Just my 2 cents. Flame away. Thank you, Peej. I've jumped with him twice...realized who it was later on. Was not scared (myself), but completely agree with your assesment.
  5. Go on big boy! I dare ya! I...triple dog dare you!

    grue's threads

Can grue make a topic in three words or less? It may not be possible. Has he? I don't think so. Discuss.
  7. Do you mean 'Sky Deviant' instead? Deviate sounds...grammatically weird.
  8. Same situation for me. Thanks for the preview, Hippie....but I won't say well done, but Fantastically done! That nice big background photo of her is both badass and sexy looking. Awesome.
  9. It looks you had your hair done and got some sun...which is part of it...and it is is a good smile...better than your current avatar.
  10. (Sorry to be serious), but I think that's a hot look for you. The double glasses thing with you and beth is cool too.
  11. NO! It probably WOULD still work, but you LEGALLY are not ALLOWED to use it. The manufacture guarantees the 12 years (+- 3 months) and the FAA says, yes, this is the lifespan of the device. When it is done, Airtech will give you $60 I think as trade-in value towad a CYPRES2. (Edited) To prove my first point, I have my old CYPRES (just had a CYPRES2 put in a few weeks ago) with a Mfg date of 5/94 sitting in the CYPRES2 box with the new accompanying manuals about 12 inches from my right shoulder. I just opened the box, turned the unit on and it ran it's normal diagnostic check ending with a zero and down arrow...so it should WORK fine...but I would be jumping with it ILLEGALLY if I put it in a rig and jumped with it.
  12. I did the easy thing and...e-mailed them! They said there would be plenty of jumpers to turn the Caravan this coming friday.
  13. ummm...no. Besides, I've only known you for a little over one year.
  14. I bought the Pro-tec Ace of Spades "Full face" and now regret the wast of $70. It has the lower portion that goes over your chin, but no actual face covering (Like a skydiving full face with the clear plastic visor removed). This helmet's problem is that the lower part sticks out too much and catches airm causing the whole helmet to tilt and the lower part to kinda block your vision a little.
  15. Aha! I knew something must be up, as I was not aware of this.
  16. I did a couple of jumps there the day after Christmas. Is this how things have been recently?

    Jumping nude

ditto~ g Me three....although I MIGHT do it one day.
  18. Sonny, Maybe if the above wasn't still happening, people here might change their attitude. While I disagree with JP's snarky response, I agree with his point about Shayna's attitude - she should just lay low. You're (and she) better off just not posting any updates for a while.
  19. Well? I was going to stop by - down visiting family for a (long) weekend. Are there enough to turn a few Caravan loads Friday afternoon/evening? What time do people show up then? Thanks.

    I need a name

    A VERY cute puppy.
  22. My parents have always owned sticks, my first two cars were sticks and I usually drive one about once a year to make sure I remember how. I was driving my parents '78 Ford Truck - a 3-speed on the column (shift from the steering wheel) - which was tough (probably more the bad release point of the clutch which I'm sure needed replacing). My dad would not let me take the DMV test until I passed HIS test.
  23. Would that put you in danger of going into the jet stream/engine line of path? I'm sure you would definitely go above the plane briefly.
