No shit there I was! (so everyone says) On Jump #40 (not licensed yet - I was procrastinating) at the American Boogie two years ago, after doing a 2-way and hanging from the bar of the Skyvan, I open up to land at "The Barn" and see a 100 ft high dust devil waiting right around where the van would pick us up (around the SE corner). I stay on the west side and land there, thinking, "You mr. dust devil can stay on your side of the field and I'll stay on mine." I landed w/o incident and I think it dissipated right around when I and the other guy landed. Then, the van dissed us and some guy in a Camaro gave us a ride back. Just before that load, a dust devil had knocked over a vendor tent. The other guy videoed it and I wish I would've gotten the footage.

Ditto. If closed end cells and slight heading issues on opening are your biggest worries, then there isn't really anything to complain about.

I had "brisker" openings on my Sabre1-150...but you load a PDR-143 more than me (mine was the same size on safety day at Byron).

0:5:1? a 7-pt 4-way and cool CReW-ish jump where I tiptoed a topskin for the first time....spooky. Did this with my Sabre1-120 and his Crossfire2.

Why do so many people seem to make their canopy choice so much on openings? (I'm not just picking on you, Chris-Ottawa) Unless you fly camera/wingsuit or have some health issues, it seems like most of the recent designs open rather similar to each other. The opening is such a short time of the usage of the canopy. Closed end cells or hung up slider? BFD. Just use your rears or brakes to clear them. Shouldn't the primary reason be flight characteristics and landing? Who cares if you prefer the opening of a Pilot over a Sabre2! They both open similarly, but which one do you prefer flying and why? Rant done. Of course, I guess me and my 175 jumps probably doesn't carry any weight (yeah, I'm not all that heavy either).

Ronaldo, Do you jump in the US or elsewhere besides Brazil? If so, then how is your reserve repack/card handled? You sign it your self? Have your own seal? If you're so good, it just sounds like you should come to the states and you'd easily pass a rigging course and can get a certification....you know, just make it official for what you already do in Brazil and make it legit for elsewhere as well.

I wish I could bathe my cats. Falafel, my orange male tabby, was infested with fleas when I got him at 10 weeks. I tried bathing him in the sink and he completely freaked out. My roommate's cat, who didn't like the kitten yet, came up to the bathroom door and starting meowing at me as if I was torturing the kitten. Of course, I hadn't figured out at the time to hold him by the scruff to prevent scratching.

a $1.99 bottle of Petite Syrah called Crane Lake or something. It's red and dry, but not any depth. Fine for a weekend night. Oh, and one of my cats peed on my bed, so that sucks.

I agree. I would NEVER recommend this person OR the camerman for agreeing to this. The TI, possibly the cameraman and that guy in the yellow in the video at the end are complete jackasses.
