  1. That's what I'm afraid of. I have a bottle of Bailey's at home that I opened, put some on ice, and haven't used any...in maybe a year. I was told by grandpa that I should try it anyways since the alchohol shouldn't let anything bad grow in it.
  2. Do you call him that in your best "Shorty" voice? I don't mind small dogs...as long as they're not the annoying yippy type. Those need to get smacked.
  3. From what I remember almost twenty years ago, the upper Yosemite hike is only around 6 R/T.
  4. I said once, but on weekly basis it is actually about 1.5/day since exercise and lunch and end up showering twice a day.
  5. 0:2:0 Jumps 3 & 4 on the Sabre1-120 I jus got. This time there was far less wind and easy stand up landings. But I think I should have the steering lines lengthened.
  6. Some of the best editing....period. Tracking Totale I like what Niko see's too.
  7. Yup, super cute. Those bigger kitties can be dangerous though, although this big kitty didn't have a happy ending.
  8. Awesome pics, Art. What the heck was that mansio....uh..cabin you stayed in and how did you get hooked up with that?
  9. So, did the Mullins kids always do everything by the book? Wait...I guess not, since they had thousands of jumps before they turned 18. Let this thread die...it has run its course.
  10. No, but probably one of the only firsts you don't owe beer for. Once you graduate from the student program (even if you don't have 'A' yet), you automatically owe beer and for any 'first' you admit to subsequently.
  11. mark, Didn't you recently just come back from the Balkans? Do you have any Muslim conflict stories to share related to this topic? Thanks.
  12. Me too...except I have black "SkyBands" by Ralph Ponce.
  13. Is he originally from Wisconsin? Sorry...I couldn't help myself. Don't know him.
  14. Well, not that anyone necessearily cares, but according to my packing card (I haven't actually seen it before - I can't drive 90 miles to the DZ in the middle of the week to watch it get repacked).... It is a Yellow Micro Raven 150 00528430, SB1221, Mfg Oct 95.
  15. MicroRaven is the name Precision gave to any Raven 150 sq ft and smaller. This was back in the days when 150 sq ft was considered small. All Ravens/SuperRavens/MicroRavens have bridle attachment points so they can be jumped as reserves or mains. All of them are the older design, regardless of manufacture date. Raven DashM's were introduced in the mid-90's. The bridle attachment point was eliminated and additional reinforcement was added. Trivia - you can tell if a Raven is a DashM or not by the serial number; all DashM s/n's start with 5; older design Raven s/n's start with 0, 1, 2, 3 or 4. Loading any Raven (Super, Micro or DashM) over 1.0 isn't a real good idea, imho. I have heard good things about the RMax, though - that one is a newer design. Thank you, your all bytchiness.
  16. I know this was discussed before, but what do we mean by "older"? I have Raven in my rig currently...I think around a 95-96 Micro-Raven 150 (Micros 150?). What's the difference between a Micro/Super, Dash-M and whatever the other Raven(s) is/are? I hope to buy a new container after my Tax refund next Feb and get it cut for a 120 (the Sabre I just picked up)...probably put a PDR126 in it... Thanks.

    Riggers!

    ...and what does 'flacking' mean?
  18. I can't believe there is actually even an ounce of seriousness in this thread..... So, what do you think this 6-yr old car is cursed? That's a pretty young car!
  19. Good topic. In America, we often use friend far too liberally when we really mean 'acquaintance'. Not that there is wrong with wanting many people to be your friend - it is just that it is inaccurate and many people really are acquaintances and not friends.
  20. I would've loved to jump in Pope Valley....sigh....
  21. I forget - does Lodi not have a tandem waiver? Or is there a tandem waiver but none for up-jumpers at Lodi?
  22. Oh no, a CASA. I'm sure you were just being tortured by the loud noise of those engines....
  23. The ocean and Hearst Castle are about an hour's drive west. Some nice hiking trails around Cambria (on the way to Hearst Castle). San Luis Obispo has a really cool downtown area; about an hour's drive south. Pismo Beach is a bit further south of SLO; you can drive on the beach there. Or...they could hang out at the Star Farms beach? (from the pics) Oh...and this is my regular reminder that I hate all of you since I won't be able to make it.
  24. 0:2: 2 jumps on my new....er canopy...in Byron winds that I probably shouldn't have. Oh well, I'm uninjured except for a booboo on my hand.
