  1. How old was this canopy? What was it (manufacture, model and size)? How many jumps? Just curious.
  2. I mean hookitt (Tim?). I think you were there on the couch at Byron when skybytch handed my her videocamera for a moment.
  3. Maybe the former but definitely not the latter. Actually, I think it was both! I looked at a pic he sent me a while back and I think it is him. I talked to him and some dude with white hair who looked a little like Gary Busey in the food line Saturday night at the American Boogie. I'm pretty sure he was also at Byron for the GFD memorial. Lisa handed the camera to me and had me video him lying across several people's laps on the couch outside with his head near Amazon's...big thingys. From his pic, I think I thought he was taller than he really is.
  4. I found the address/phone through Yahoo!, but what is it? A private resort? Private residence of some rich person? Something like a Hotel/B&B/Resort?
  5. If it's time for a repack, have Timmae come and do the reserve. Clay or his minions get to do that in the next few days
  6. You got it! Nah, hookitt, I'll save the money this time. It will in an air conditioned, carpetted room and no need to rush to make a load. No problem.
  7. Yeah, but he'll spend more in gas getting here than lunch would! I was thinking of including a malfunction movie as well. (Btw, when I say "movie", I mean lasting
  8. Oh, the packjob will definitely be last. Really, I think I can do it just fast enough not to bore them...although it is borderline.
  9. AggieDave - I got SkyBands on my D-Bag, so I don't really need to worry about them breaking really easily while unpacking, but thanks. LouDiamond - I don't have a paragear catalog. hookitt - We usually book 90 minutes for this lunch meeting and most know I skydive already. I've even brought my rig in before and put it under the desk in my cube and opened the pin covers. vdschoor - Last presentation, this coworker interested in Theory of Relativity/Light/Time Travel gave a presentation the lasted like 50 minutes - definitely the longest so far. It is NOT going to take even me that long to pack my old Sabre in a carpeted room. I could get "volunteers" from the audience to even help me to make things go faster. At this point (in my idea gathering phase), I'm more worried about the technical questions regarding canopies that I don't know too much about myself. Why is a Stilletto more Hi Performance than a Pilot which has a flatter glide than a Sabre? What makes a canopy more hi performance than another? And etc....
  10. Did not know about that calendar...now I know that JP is actually older than me and only by 17 days.
  11. Once a month, one of the managers in my work group buys pizza and someone takes a turn presenting something they're interested in whether it be work or personal related. I'm going to present....well, duh. I was going to put a couple of short movies on a memory stick to play on the computer, bring my rig and show what everything is and unpack/repack the main for them. I also want to show them what different types of canopies do and their aspects. I'm just going to be showing them my 15-yr old Sabre, but I'd like to be able to show them at least diagram-wise what other types are like. Is there a good website with some comparisons of canopy designs. I'd like to show them an elliptical vs square, etc., what aspect ratio means and other things and how this affects flight characteristics. Please help me? Thanks.
  12. AAAAAARRRRRRGGGGHHHHHH!!! This looks like too much fun to miss! What the heck is up with this beach thing? Isn't this Paso we're talking? Some 'splain me!
  13. Damn! I totally forgot to grab you last weekend. Well, I mean, of course I grabbed you but I forgot to get the video from you. PayPal on its way. He told me Sat. morning that he forgot to bring them. I handed him a $20 and am axiously waiting for mine. PayPal won't let me do anything w/o sending them a letter from a Credit Agency. I stupidly fell prey to a Phishing attempt a few months ago. I got off lucky wrt any actual fraud (the few CC charges that got through were small and waived by my cc company). It's just that there is still info of mine out there that people are trying to use every no and then.
  14. I'm more that way too. I have a slight preference for cats, but I like dogs too (and even many reptiles and such like big snakes if they're friendly).
  15. It should be warm - Indian summerlike. Probably 80s to 90s then, with dry heat.
  16. As long as I'm residing in the North Bay area, the 3rd weekend in September will be booked for me. Bummer. I would have loved to come to this boogie. I guess I won't be the 6th person to make the minimum # to manifest the PAC.
  17. Well.... I looked it up to be sure... .. and you would be happy to know that he is not yet middle-aged (Getting Very Close though) ... Although I am confused as to why you would be happy about that. Definition Below: middle-aged adj : being roughly between 45 and 65 years old (Close, but not moldy yet) ... ..... Love U Chopchop!! I didn't know that indicated I had any feeling one way or another (happy/sad).
  18. Thanks...and btw everyone, it is NOT mine (couldn't be - all my stuff is old/cheap). Lisa, good deal. Neal held my logbook when I left it there on Memorial Day. What is NCS?
