  2. Mmmmm...post-jumping party at Clay's on the 4th.... T'was lotsa fun!
  3. For me: 1. Partly the rush - it is still there to some extent. 2. Kinda agree about the 'relaxing' part. 3. I like flying. It's fun. 4. The people. I find it amazing how friendly and helpful the people can be...including many that I've met on this forum and in IRL as well.
  4. Yeah, but you're the only one. I'd think about it if I lived closer...or maybe if it was Friday. Have fun.
  5. Sweeeeeeet...and you're still alive to tell us!
  6. Good enough reason for me to bring it into the office on a hot day. Thanks.
  7. Huh? These are exactly the type of decisions that should affect your opinion about a dropzone. If you heard great things about a restaurant, went several times and got great service and then one time had a bad incident/service due to a bad decision/server that day/whatever, would you then never go back? If the manifest was a bitch/asshole that day at Sebastian, would you never go back? Or the DZO made a bad decision but then reversed it a while later, would you never jump there again? I'm thinking you still would jump there.
  8. Wow! You're...like...on Fire!
  9. Ralphy-bands? Dem be them black bands that I have on my d-bag (SkyBands)? I guess I'm naughty then, since I have Sabre1 with Ralphy-bands on the d-bag.
  10. I was out FOUR WHOLE DOLLARS by the recent ownership and manifest change. While I think it was kinda stupid or shortsighted, it happened, it is water under the bridge and I'm moving on....and I'm excited about the tracking derby coming up!!!
  11. Vic didn't buy it (as far as I know), but should maybe pass it on to Clay (the new DZO). Whatever anyone here thinks of the decision, please don't let it affect your opinion of Bay Area Skydiving. My point - treat it as an isolated incident and deal with any oustanding related issues and leave it at that. They have to be one of the friendliest and most helpuful operations out there.
  12. Interesting...what about the CYPRES batteries though?
  13. Around Jump #35, I had a bad landing (wore shorts and t-shirt, downwinder and tumbled a few times). I partially tore my right rotator, sprained an ankle, got a few cuts/bruises and just overall felt sore/like crap the next few days. This was on a Sunday. The next day at work, while continuing to feel like crap, I decided to go to Kaiser and told my complete Ice Queen boss (what I got the injuries from and where I was going). Absolutely no sympathy whatsoever - as if she couldn't care less.
  14. Don't know, but I liked the music on your Airspeed segment better than Iwan's Airspeed segment on the new Boogie video. So, , Iwan. (But I liked the music on the regular part of the video.)
  15. Me too. I'm just answering the poll and thats it. Girl (and maybe guy too) sound like bad news anyway you take it.
  16. So, does that mean you're going finally up your jump #s or have you just not kept it up to date? You live so close to Elsinore/Perris that you have no excuse unless there is a $$ situation.
  17. Define "too windy to jump". Cornholio jumps a lot at Byron. "Too windy" at Byron usually means 25-30+.
  18. Not that many... Cessna 182 206 Caravan Beech 99 King Air CASA Skyvan PAC750XL Hellicopter Robinson (I think) DC-3 Otter (Twin) I think that's it.
  19. Precision Aerodynamics Fusion 210, about 170 jumps on it. So, the part about it being Nate's "old" canopy was a joke? He sold it to you practically new? Unless you did something grossly wrong to cause this, it sounds like this is a manufacturer issue.
  20. Can you PM me the address? I'll be busy during the jumping time, but I might be willing to drive to their place. Thanks.
