If you are near Miami, You would might want to look at Skydive Miami over at Homestead. http://www.skydivemiami.com/. Just be sure to deal directly with the Dropzone you are looking to skydive with. Don't waste your money on any of the middle men out there, especially 1 800 Skyride, Thrill Planet, Adventure Sports/Skydiving, Skydiving.com or any other booking services. Be sure the person you are talking to is NOT in Georgia if you thought you called a number in Fla. Ask the person up front where they are RIGHT NOW? sLyride makes it really difficult to file a dispute because quite frequently, they will drag their feet and put the customer off and find every delay they can until 60 days has passed, then tell them they will have to travel to Atlanta. Most credit card companies have a 60 day dispute period, so if a charge shows up on your card and you don't dispute it within 60 days, you bought it and it's extremely difficult to get the charges removed after that. That's another element of the sLyride scam. I have had multiple victims contact me via the consumer alert and tell me this happened to them. Refuse to Lose!!! I find it horrible that anyone would deliberately try to trick consumers the way they do...yet they continue to knowingly break the law for a few more pennies! The more I know about these people, the madder it makes me. They've been doing this for years.... and yes, for almost every court order against them, they find a way around it. I don't think it's that they find a way around it, they just run right through it and act like it never happened. That's like the Tennessee Law, I call them, just to tie up their phone line and sales rep for a minute or two, then I after waste as much of their time that I can, I end the call by telling them about the Law and how they are breaking it, and every time I'm called, they have told me "Oh that law don't pertain to us".
