  1. Here's three lined up three abreast! Birds of a feather flock together! Or shall I say accomplices of a feather flock together! And YES! I DID confirm these! Refuse to Lose!!! Failure is NOT an option! 1800skyrideripoff.com Nashvilleskydiving.org
  2. I'm not saying AFF is bad, I just think it's become too commercialized. Sure, there are people out there who were essentially born with a rig on their back (so to speak), and those are the ones who are probably perfect for AFF, but I've been to DZ's that use AFF as the first jump. I know the OP has made a tandem, but referring more to the first timer, That's what I was saying about how an instructor knows how they will perform. I've also heard DZO's saying that they will only do AFF because it's more profitable, and one DZO even told me that if a student couldn't make it in AFF, he would tell them to get a bowling ball. I just think that there's a bit of customer service or friendliness that's lost when profit is put in front of the jumper's experience. I say that while realizing that DZO's have to make a profit, but they just don't have to make a killing off each person who walks through the door. Refuse to Lose!!! 3. Speaking of getting the thread back on track, since there's a few of them that run the ads, can we post the screenshots from DZ's who accept sLyride's tickets? Refuse to Lose!!! Failure is NOT an option! 1800skyrideripoff.com Nashvilleskydiving.org

  5. Go Static Line. It's a hell of a lot cheaper, and there's a lot lower failure (do over) rate. I'm sure the AFFi's out there are gonna slam me for posting this, but the truth is the AFF crams 8 hours of training (that should be 16 hours) down a student's throat in 5 or 6 hours, then expects them to perform in a sport that they have either done once or not at all. AFF is nothing more than a way for DZO's to make more money per student. You can get 3 to 4 jumps for the price of one AFF jump, and Static Line offers a more student friendly environment and it offers a lot less stressful atmosphere. You can show up at your local DZ and make 4 or 5 jumps and be less mentally exhausted than from a couple of AFF jumps. Besides all that, how can an instructor have any idea how a person is going to perform when he exits the airplane for the first time (or even the second time if he/she made the tandem)? 6. If it were anyone but you criminals, that would never have happened. Had you people not proven yourselves to be the scam that you are when you guys did the Cat Aids Boogie, there would have been no reason to inform the MS people about what you people are all about. Again as has been said many times, you brought it on yourselves. Just remember, www.cataidsboogie.com! I have a sister in law and a nephew with MS, so NO! I do not hate people with MS. Quit trying to derail the thread. Refuse to Lose!!! Failure is NOT an option! 1800skyrideripoff.com Nashvilleskydiving.org
  7. It's the sLyride hidden charges. That's the point. He was not told about the "Extra Altitude" until after he got there. Sure $180 for a tandem is not a bad price, but it's the principle that he got nailed with that. And they, (The sLyride supporters) say, "Oh we don't do that anymore", Yeah! Fucking right! 8. Are you referring to people like the guy who posted this blog. http://www.raleighmccool.com/?p=17&cpage=1#comment-120 It sounds like even though he got his jump, he definitely got fucked on the "Extra Altitude" and even though he drove for 90 minutes to get there, chances are, he drove past at least one other DZ who would not have charged him for the extra altitude. 9. Here's another of those annoying sLyride ads. Hopefully, DZ.com management will address this very serious soon. As we know, Whuffo's DO visit DZ.com when they are trying to find a place to jump and those ads do nothing more than to scam the customer and give our sport a bad image. Refuse to Lose!!! 11. That's why I went and got tubes in my ears 5 years ago. I used to get ear infections all the time and the sinus infections as well, then I went to my family ear, Nose and Throat Doctor and he recommended tubes. I thought that just kids got that done, but he said that close to as many adults get then, so I got it done and I don't have that problem any more. I and the ENT Doctor don't recommend them if you are are also a scuba diver. Refuse to Lose!!! Failure is NOT an option! 1800skyrideripoff.com Nashvilleskydiving.org

  13. Just be real careful NOT to buy a skydive from 1 800 Skyride, Adventure Skydiving, Thrill Planet, or the new one that has websites that are skydivinginpick a city.com Those are fake websites that are only designed to take your money. Be sure that there's a location on the website before you waste your time and cell/home phone minutes. I added Adventure skydiving, but I think there's a real DZ in Cal. that goes by the same name, I don't think they are affiliated, just the same name. Just Google Skydiving scam, the info there will be very valuable when you decide where to jump. Here's the list of Cal DZ's; http://www.dropzone.com/dropzone/North_America/United_States/California/index.html Refuse to Lose!!! 14. I've got no dog in this fight, and don't want to get involved, but those look like they're persons posting those, not ASC. Flagging them will just piss the person off. I dont think ASC takes phones in trade for skydive certificates. You're probably right, so I sent them an email explaining why they are getting flagged and if they show up again, we'll flag them again. Just because one person got fucked by sLyride don't mean that they have to screw someone else in the process. I closed the email by adding the contact info for the Tenn. AG, BBB, and some investigative reporters that love sLyride/asc. Even though it could be perceived as a negative message to the person who posted the ads, I did it in a respectful manner. 17. You guys have a really nice site, but I Googled different searches that should bring your site up, and unfortunately, I could not find it. I recommend that you add some text content to your home page and add more to your . Google can't read images and if there's no content, well, there's nothing for Google to index. If you don't want a bunch of content to show up on your home page, use a Javascript "Read More" Toggle. The user has to click the text link "Read More" and the content portion will drop down and be visible. The sweet part of that is that the content is in the source page and Google reads it just as if it's totally visible. Here's one site that I used this toggle on. http://adventureskydivingcenter.com Click the read more and watch the content drop down and the URL never changes. If you're interested, I'll be glad to email you the files to do this. Another thing that's good about your situation is that it does not look like you have much competition from other DZ's in your area and none from sLyride. www.skydive.co.nz is Google Site linked, so you will have to contend with that, but it looks like they are the only DZ that shows up in the searches. Overall, it looks like you guys should do quite well. Refuse to Lose!!! Failure is NOT an option! 1800skyrideripoff.com Nashvilleskydiving.org
  18. You are right, this is a sLyride thread, and Hallux did throw Start in the mix. I was originally demonstrating that Start is doing the right thing with the one minor element thrown in and even though I added that part about teh competing DZ's, it was meant to be more complimentary than a slam. I will add that we recently exposed that Start takes the sLyride tickets, and I have since heard that they stopped, so for whatever it worth, there's either a current or definitely a past affiliation there with sLyride. Like I said in that last post, I don't see Nashville and not Tennessee either in their site, so that tells us that they are doing it right for the most part. Refuse to Lose!!! 20. You have no point! Start may be advertising for the cities around their Physical location that are within what may be a reasonable driving distance, bit I did not see Kansas, Utah, or even the Bahamas in your quote from their site and I checked the source page from their site and they don't even have the word "Nashville" anywhere in their site. I will agree however that they should not have the names of the area competing DZ's in their site. As well all know, sLyride/ASC does all of the above and more. Refuse to Lose!!! 23. The ads are still showing. If I may offer a suggestion; instead of trying to get every URL every time we post one, just set the Adsense acct to "Image Banners Only". I don't recall ever seeing sLyride run image banners, I'd assume because they are more expensive to make and to run on Google. I think they look better than the text ads and they pay better. I've had some that paid over $1 per click but most do around .30 to .50 per click, I've seen the text ads only do .01 to .05 PPC. Refuse to Lose!!! 24. Whatever you guys did, it appears to be working. I haven't seen any obvious Skyride google ads on this site. Thanks! We just need to keep a watch on it. Google Adwords has the ability to set the times of the day/week that the ads run. We've all seen them 24/7, but they know we are working on getting them removed, so I'd expect nothing less than for them to pull some of their sneaky shit and slip in new domains. They will only last a short period of time before we figure out which ones are theirs and report them. Thanks Slotperfect and the DZ.com staff. You're doing a much better job than the USPA is in these situations. Refuse to Lose!!! Failure is NOT an option! 1800skyrideripoff.com Nashvilleskydiving.org
