The resolution does say serious consequences, yes... I would call what happend a serious consquecne. As to the other resolution, yes they did draft one, and they decided since it was likely to be vetoed by France and / or Russia (based on their own interests), and that it was not needed anyway, not to put it to a vote. There was support in SC... the final resolution that passed had no requirement to return to the SC for a final authorization... it authorized force... The was an alternative version, being floated by the French, that did require another look by the SC, but it was not the one adopted in the end. While I think this is old news, why not put the "No WMD" statement into context? While I agree that dormant programs would not have made a case for war, the pre war intel from multiple sources and countries pointed toward something different... couple that with SH playing shell games with the UN... it sure looked like he was hidding something, perhaps intentionally on SH's part... it must have looked that way for Kerry to have voted for it seeing the same information as everyone else, because he would not have made a mistake, right? I don't disagree either on the war, or more acqurately the post-war, being a blunder in its execution, due to the lack of planning for the aftermath of taking out SH... I've used the "E" and it works fairly well... I can't compare it with the Quantum though, since I have not used it... the "E" is light and and compact, you can mount it on the helmet (which is how I use it). Oh please, Bill... where is your evidence? It has not been proven that it came from the administration... Have you not seen the other documents know to be signed by the purported author, whose signatures do not match? How 'bout the pile of documents from the unit, from that time period, that do not exhibit the same spacing or superscripts? Everyone who CBS has said authenticated the documents has backed away from that... I don't know if the documents are fake or not, only that the evidence against them being real is mouting up... I think CBS should reveal their source, especailly since they claim the source is unimpeachable... I also think Novak should reveal whomever leaked the agent's name. They have not revealed their source, only saying it is "unimpeachable"... The family of the purported author says they did not come from them, and are not something the family feels he would have written... the signature does not match known and witnessed samples of the purported author's signature... and when compared to other samples of memos from the unit, the format and typographical features do not match... the "expert" used to verify the memos is even distancing himself from them... the CO of the purported author is now saying they are not authentic...
