Isn't hindsight a beautiful thing? Bush has pretty plainly said that if he is to loose his job over Iraq, so be it, it was still the right thing to do... Its called courage of convictions... J All that is necessary for the triumph of evil is that good men do nothing. - Edmund Burke

Last time I wnet to nationals (a few years ago) re-jumps for camera problems were near impossible to get... if the problem was within the cameraman's control, you did not get one, period. By in the cameraman's control I mean, forget to turn it on, battery dies, run out of tape, tape dropout due to reuse of tape, falling off the plane, pretty much anything... if there was another problem with the camera, it was up to the head video guy for the meet to make a determination (IIRC that was Brent Finley for the meet I was at)... Was it a team that ended up on the podium? J All that is necessary for the triumph of evil is that good men do nothing. - Edmund Burke

Was it the negative, or the print that was screwed up? If it was the negative it could be bad processing, or bad film... if it was only the print, they should take the negatives to a different place and get another set of prints. Don't you mean anyalyze the information? But to answer the question, yes all of the avaialble data needs to be evaluated, not just the info that supports one side or the other... that is the job of the intelligence community (CIA, DIA, etc.)... I have stated before that the head of the Intel community, the DCI, should be apolitical, that is not serving at the pleasure of the President... Partisan politics have no place in intelligence. From the glossary of FM 34-130 Intel is the product used to make decisions... Analysis is a step in the process of producing Intel... J All that is necessary for the triumph of evil is that good men do nothing. - Edmund Burke

I guess my question is, if he were so disgusted with the war in Vietnam, why would he bring home a rifle to remember it by? Also, how did he bring it back? It is generally against military regulations to bring home weapons as souvenirs... Just to be fair, it could be an SKS, instead of an AK... it would still be fairly hypocritical if he has either... If they did not learn it as kids, maybe they should learn now... there are consequences for your actions... they (CBS) have lost their credibility as an unbiased party, and should not be rewarded with the prestige of being the moderator of a Presidential debate. I also think the campaign / administration should not respond to any questions from CBS reporters in any forum. Since there is nothing to differentiate the camera person, nothing stating a lower requirement, one must assume the cameraperson is part of the team and must meet the same requirements. J All that is necessary for the triumph of evil is that good men do nothing. - Edmund Burke

I jump a Velocity at 2.2 or 2.4 (depending on which of my rigs)... My helmet is a FTP, and depending on what I'm doing it can have 3 camera and a flash unit, needless to say it's big and heavy... Every once in a while, I'll get a knuckle banged on the edge of my helmet, but not all the time... ususally its when I get lazy about where I take hold of the risers during the deployment... I don't "fly" the openings, so much as I ride them out... I have had far less line twists to deal with since I've started doing that... I also don't look at my canopy during deployment, it's buch better on my neck and back... J All that is necessary for the triumph of evil is that good men do nothing. - Edmund Burke

The simple answer is NO... it is a fixed amount that was part of his package when he left Halliburton... Whether or not he had anything to do with Hallibutron getting contracts has been investigated by Congress, and NOTHING has been found to substantiate such claims... Pure political fodder... In fact, No... he had his nickname from his hot temper. And the response was minimal, most likely due to the election campaign season that was underway. The majority of the violations occured under Clinton's watch... Operation Desert Fox was Clinton's only significant response to any of SH's games, and it was toned down from what it was planned to be... Still, are you suggesting that it would have been OK for Bush Sr. to have responded without international approval? Uh, don't know much about the first Gulf War do you? There was no political mandate to continue to Bagdad. There was not support with the coalition to do so either. The UN sanctions grew out of the cease fire agreement... an agreement that SH violated pretty much from day one... Yes, we should have taken care of the problem then, but we wanted international support... Are you suggesting that it would have been OK to go it alone then? We should have taken care of the problem when we had troops there in '94 and '98 too... who was the President then?
