You might be right, but I heard it was the other way around... Evidence? It has been widely reported that Democratic interests are far more represented by 527s than Republican ones... the top bigwigs of the DNC have their own 527s... and I's sure some of the top GOP folks do too... they all need to go away, they only muddy the waters. I believe there is a FEC complaint against Kerry's campaign and a 527 as well... I don't recall which one... but the talking heads were discussing it today. It is both sides of the fence that have problems with these "unaffiliated" groups. And, yes, it is a silly system. Yes, he condemned then today in a press conference... No he did not name them specifically, but his respose was to a question that did specifically name the Swift Boat ad, and he said something to the effect that he condemned those ads, and all 527 ads, that they are wrong for the process... Would someone please prove that the Bush campaign is behind these ads... there are plenty of accusations being thrown about, but no proof. Bush has condemned the ads, and others from 527 organizations... Will Kerry do the same? J All that is necessary for the triumph of evil is that good men do nothing. - Edmund Burke

What is the conerstone of his campaign? It's hard to be everything to every one. Edit to add... His sevice record gets more space on his offcial website than his time as a prosecutor, Lt. Gov., and Senator combined... like it or not, he has made it a campaign issue, maybe he though people would just take it a face value, and move on... but it didn't work out. Edit to add, part II... His time as an activist only get passing mention... is he not proud of the work he did in the name of peace? Who drudged it up though? Kerry started running on his service record... he made it an issue... If you put something on your resume, be prepaird to answer questions about it. J All that is necessary for the triumph of evil is that good men do nothing. - Edmund Burke
-
But some of that doen't count... because it was 30 years ago, right? Both candidates have policy issues that ought to be discussed... but Kerry put up his 4.5 month's in Vietnam as grounds to be CinC, and now that's the issue... Why does he choose that to say he is qualified to be CinC? Is it becasue, in his 30 years of public life, that's all he's got? J All that is necessary for the triumph of evil is that good men do nothing. - Edmund Burke

Then why is Kerry making his service in Vietnam a campaign issue? He put it out there for political reasons, hoping to gain support based on that service... He should not be surprised that someone might dust off the skeletons in his closet that may have otherwise just stayed hidden... As for the it was over 30-years ago part, you're right... there is plenty of record for him to fail on from his time in the Senate... and that is what should really be discussed/debated... The swift boat stuff is a bed of his own making though. J All that is necessary for the triumph of evil is that good men do nothing. - Edmund Burke

One of the reasons for not using an RSL with camera set-ups is to make sure you are clear of your cut-away before activating the reserve... I don't see how a skyhook is any different from theRSL in that respect, and may actually be worse... if your main is essentially acting as your reserve PC, and your main get snagged after it has started extracting the reserve, you could be having a very bad day. That's not just in Cali... a lot of states have similar provisions... it is something you consent to for having the priviledge of getting a driver's license. Right now, you can make the polling data look a lot of different ways... depending on what criteria you use... registered or likely voters, Nader or no Nader, yada, yada, yada... The electoral college polls (the only one that maters in the end) can bounce from Kerry having an advantage, to GWB having one, depending on what methods are used... I think it will be down to the wire this year. J All that is necessary for the triumph of evil is that good men do nothing. - Edmund Burke

When I lived in AZ, down on the boarder, we had an AEROSTAT (surveillance radar) balloon facility on the edge of town... you could tell when the balloon was down because of the low flying aircraft shooting the gap in the "fence". I'm sure the drug runners had someone watching the balloon. I recall seeing one unfortunate plane that was forced down on the Army Airfield by a Customs Blackhawk... Why politicians should not be in charge of the CIA.

But by their very nature, being political appoitees, they are political... They need to be kinda like the FED Chairman, or the FBI Director... they are appointed for a set time period, which can overlap administrations. Thereby giving only a certain amount of influence any administration can hold over the position. J All that is necessary for the triumph of evil is that good men do nothing. - Edmund Burke -

Uh, last I checked, the PA passed the Senate by a fairly wide margin... 98-1 IIRC. Everyone kneejerked to 911 including both Reps and Dems. J All that is necessary for the triumph of evil is that good men do nothing. - Edmund Burke -

I think consistency starts well before the turn... fly a consistent pattern, to a consistent set up, use the same type of turn... use a consistent target too, not something particularly specific to your DZ, but something transferable, like a wind blade (just about every DZ, or swoop course will have one)... and like you mentioned... practice, practice, practice...
