  4. Thank you and bless you for writing that up....and praise God you're okay. Your post and the incidents from this weekend are very sobering. Mrs. WaltAppel All things work together for good to them that love God...Romans 8:28
  5. Sending a bunch of prayers now. I really hate this side of the sport Mrs. WaltAppel All things work together for good to them that love God...Romans 8:28
  6. ***did walt put his big foot through anyone's canopy today? __________________________________________________ No, but he did have an interesting day today. Ask him what happened...or he just might post about it. Mrs. WaltAppel All things work together for good to them that love God...Romans 8:28
  7. Yet another first! I attended my first boogie at Skydive Temple this weekend. It was so amazing...I love that place. My friend Cannie (Mockingbird), who just got her 'A', came with me. We hung out on the ground for most of the day because of the freaky winds, but had loads of fun anyway! We also hung out with Walt and watched him do some really cool CRW. I managed to get a couple of jumps in around sunset and it was well worth the wait. Met a few of you as well
  8. 0:2: 1 Went to my first boogie at Skydive Temple. Hung out with Cannie (Mockingbird) and Walt, watched him do some CRW...and I got a couple jumps in after the winds calmed a bit. Great day. Mrs. WaltAppel All things work together for good to them that love God...Romans 8:28
  9. Went to my first boogie this Sat. Winds were questionable. There were folks with many years/jumps gounding themselves. Was advised by a very dear friend/experienced jumper that if they're staying on the gound so should I. Glad I listened Mrs. WaltAppel All things work together for good to them that love God...Romans 8:28
  10. Walt is going to be with me at Skydive Temple in Salado...we will be doing two of those three things together on Saturday. I'm sure it won't take a genius to figure out which two. Mrs. WaltAppel All things work together for good to them that love God...Romans 8:28
  11. Good grief Bobbi!! Glad everyone is okay. Have a wonderful rest of the Memorial Day weekend.

  13. ***Don't speed through Martindale... __________________________________________________ Thanks for the reminder. We just moved to Canyon Lake three weeks ago so I'll be frequenting SSM soon. Can't wait till you get your 'A' so we can jump together. Me, you and Cannie - THREE WAY!!! Mrs. WaltAppel All things work together for good to them that love God...Romans 8:28
  14. Sending prayers that you heal quick and easy...Take care girl
  15. ***I can understand it from Walt... he's just a 'wild and crazy guy!" But... your sister? __________________________________________________ Oh Man!! You have NO idea. God broke his mold when she was born. She's always bragging about her poops, how long and frequent they are. Well, one day I got an e-mail from her and it was a picture of her longest turd ever.....13 inches (longer than Walt's)!! It really wasn't surprising at all coming from her. One time she sent me a pic of her on the toilet wearing a gas mask And I can't fail to mention the way she often tells me bye after one of her trips. I get a *nice* full moon from her. She's really very funny, and I always enjoy our visits...and I wouldn't be skydiving today if it weren't for her. Mrs. WaltAppel All things work together for good to them that love God...Romans 8:28
  16. No, my sister started that website. She's got you beat Walt. Mrs. WaltAppel All things work together for good to them that love God...Romans 8:28
  17. Well....I got all the lovely details last weekend in Salado. He was telling the story in the packing room and this guy kept asking questions. Like what color was it and how long. The funny thing was how casual the conversation was...like they were discussing a ball game or something. I was laughing so hard it took me forever to pack...and it's a miracle I did not have a mal! Then *I* would have beat Walt in his own contest I'm quite sure Mrs. WaltAppel All things work together for good to them that love God...Romans 8:28
  18. 0:3:1 Awesome jumps at Skydive Temple (first six-way), wearing a jumpsuit owned by a world class skydiver! A great day indeed
  19. Almost two years ago...and it's worked beautifully. Why pay two bills? Mrs. WaltAppel All things work together for good to them that love God...Romans 8:28
  20. ***Times have changed a little when I was a wee littlen, if one of my mates got the measles or chicken pox, the mums would ring around and ORGANISE a slumber party for all of us. The theory was that we all get chicken pox at the same time and get it over with. Run that by your moms group see wht they think __________________________________________________ I was intentionally exposed to chicken pox when my best friend had it. We had a slumber party on a school night. I have exposed my boys twice and they still haven't gotten it. My doc says they may be naturally immune to it. I absolutely believe that children who are exposed to some things have a much better immune system. It's funny, but the few mom's in my groups who believe otherwise seem to have frequently ill children. To answer the thread, yes I would let my kids go to sleepovers. Usually, though, my house is the "hangout"
  21. Hey, I jumped my butt off yesterday at Skydive Temple. You missed all the fun. I did a six-way with Dave S., Sherri, Brock, Toby and Vernon. What a blast!!! Perfect day. Plus I got to watch Walt Appel do some crew with Wendy Faulkner. Yes, it's good to be back in this area
  22. ***You need a bigger TV. Do you play the piano? __________________________________________________ Sorry for the delayed reply...didn't get online yesterday because I was having too much fun jumping at Skydive Temple! Anyway, those pics are of the house before we moved in. We saw them online and had to jump on it. I don't play the piano but I do sing pretty well Mrs. WaltAppel All things work together for good to them that love God...Romans 8:28
  23. After dealing with all the typical stresses and headaches of selling/buying a house, packing/unpacking, and setting up utilities and such, I can proudly say it was worth it. We've spent several nights now sitting on our porch watching the fireflies. We have a wet weather creek and one night it stormed pretty good. The next morning we heard the rushing water from our porch. When we walked down to view the source of the sound, we were pleasantly surprised with several springs bubbling out of the rock bank. I wish I had pictures of that, but here are some of our house. These are the ones the realtor took that made us fall in love with it! BTW, it's in Canyon Lake, TX...about 30 minutes outside of San Antonio. It's nestled right in the middle of the hill country, which is the paradise of the state!
