    Not quite sure how you get to that conclusion, nor see what it matters. I was asking you if you wanted the death penalty for attemtped murder based on the statement you made. If he killed before really has no bearing on that (though I was aware of that). Then you may want to start at home. The governments of all three countries involved (Vatican, Italy and Turkey) are doing a better job at protecting their societies than America is. Murder rates (since we are discussing murder in this thread) are lower in those countries than the USA. These countries seem to be doing something right...maybe you should learn from them in stead of behaving like they would be better of if they adopted American style punishment.

    And with that Americans still kill eachother more frequently then in most if not all western countries who don't have a death penalty and shorter sentences for murder.....It would seem americans just like to kill eachother no matter what.

Failing that he should have been executed for attemtping to murder somebody....your words, no accusation needed from my part. Uhmm I did know. He should not have been executed cause the countries he committed his crime in do not have a death penalty. Like I said, write to your nearest turkish or italian representative to get that changed. To go back to your original post, in which you only mention the attempted murder. If two heads of state pardon him, including the one he attempted to murder, then what is it to you if they let him go or not? Do you think Turkey should keep him in jail for an act he has already served his sentence for?

    yes Murder doesn't carry the death penalty in most Western Nations. Some call it evolving. I think you should take that job on yourself. You have guns right? If you feel so strong about it. When someone gets released from prison after serving time for attemtped murder. You should go and shoot them. And don't restrict yourself to just the US....you have problems with sentencing from Italy to Turkey, so maybe you should go do the same over there....

    You mean every position in the military has access to weapons? Are you sure, or are you going on again before pausing for a second? Most if not all western nations do not agree that there should be a death penalty. Further, now you want the death penalty for attempted murder as well?

    Yes he is and he has served his sentences for both. If you don't like it, write to your local turkish representative to change the laws in that country. And he is not simply being set free, but transfered to a military base to start mandatory military service for an indefinite time... Do you sometimes think before you type?

    Uhmmm, he was already pardoned for that crime by the Italian head of state... He was then transfered to Turkey to serve a sentence for another crime, he has finished serving that sentence.....

    I know...and you obviously missed my point. The Americans did not win on their own...no other country won on their own. It was a collective effort that brought victory. We will never know which piece of the puzzle could have been omitted and still ensure victory. The US did not win WWII for the Europeans as was the original question. But they certainly helped.
