Thst is exactly it. It is easy to blme the judge, but it isn't the judge who is at fault here. it is the Canadian Justice system that is at fault. Hopefully Harper will make good on his election promises of overhauling the criminal justice system. If that isn't done, sentences like this will not stop. -

before spouting I suggest you look into cpted. This article from a police officer may help...even gives further links at the bottom. http://www.itd2.com/newsletter/Oct03/cpted.htm I have first hand seen the positive results of cpted, but the story isn't sharable on an open forum. edited to fix link

There is no true answer, none that anybody will ever agree on. The prevailing attitude is: Us GOOD Them BAD Many of the Muslims engaging in violent protest never saw those cartoons. At least not the actual ones, they were probably shown and told fakes to further a political and/or religious agenda. Just to fuel the hatred. To me, it is no different than what happened in the US leading into the second war in Iraq. Fear and to a degree hatred were used to further a political and maybe even a religious agenda. Us GOOD Them BAD There is no logical explanation for the questions you raise

He is saying that, butthe comparison he gave had nothing in common. The comparison included taking heavy losses to protect something in the future. In this case something was stopped, but then nobody was told it was stopped. I am pretty sure the organizers figured out that no plain flew into a building in LA. I know what he was trying to say, his example was a little off though.... Kid is good, there is a second one now. Boy and a girl.

it is an often made argument that Islam is a peaceful religion and that those muslims taking up arms and fighting are not true mulsims. Basically the same argument you just presented for various different forms of christianity. I agree that in theory that is correct. In practice we both know that many a murder has taken place in the name of most religions around the world.

That is just too funny. So, when did women in America become free to sunbath topless on the beach? I doubt that a woman is free to flash the pilot in the US. As a matter of fact, I think it would be illegal in most states. Many states in the US do. Men are allowed to be topless in public, women are not. How they have sex and with what implements is stipulated in certain states. Why is it that your rules for women are better than their rules for women?

Maybe they are teaching her to fight for what you think is right. To stand up for your beliefs, specially against to government. To make sure you are not walked all over by a bigger entity. There are many different ways to look at this. Personally I wouldn't sue. I would however try and arrange something for my child that would show some appreciation for the hard work he/she has put into this. Destroy? Sounds like you are going overboard just as much as these parents would if they sued.
