Deadly mass shootings aren't a mistake from the left. Deadly mass shootings shouldn't be something that politics are played with.
-
Where in my post did you see a solution. Do you really want to argue there is a clear pattern in the type of firearm used in the deadliest mass shootings? Yes, handguns are use din the most number of mass shootings. However 4 out of the 5 deadliest mass shootings were all committed with semi-automatic rifles. I am not talking about banning weapons at all. According to Wendy you are a reasonable person to discuss this with. The way you are jumping to all kinds of conclusions is far from reasonable.

No, you said there was skyrocketing demand due to the world opening up. Then you posted proof of your claim with the increase in price of crude. Then you had to partially quote reports and restate what you really meant.....as usual.
-
the sentence didn't end there: "combined with ongoing petroleum supply limitations by the Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC) and partner countries (OPEC+). In addition, disruptions to petroleum supply from extreme winter weather in the United States (notably in Texas) put upward pressure on crude oil prices during February. " Here is the link Link also shows demand and oversupply lagging 2019 numbers until 2022.

Last time I brought up there was racism and misogyny in the armed forces veterans on here disputed that was the case. Actually the argument was that white privilege could not really be understood by veterans and service members because in the armed forces they are all the same colour.
-
There is quite a pattern on the type of weapon used for the most deadly of mass shootings.
-
I am not disputing price of oil went up. I am disputing it is all driven by demand from the world opening up as you implied.Your government, in their projections, seems to agree with me.
-
Current short term energy outlook from your government has consumption not hitting 2019 levels until 2022 and surplus production reducing to roughly double of 2019 levels. I wouldn't call that skyrocketing.
-
Before we go down this road, are you disputing a cop was killed during the Capitol assault?
-
That or simply stating you are willing to give up your favourite family member or friend to gun violence as a price to pay for the good parts of the constitution.
-
Oh the cop didn't get killed by a gun, so it is a lesser form of death....got it.
-
Limiting the second amendment does not mean limiting the other amendments.
-
At least you are honest enough to post this part, but you left out the comparison. There is a difference between dealing with unaccompanied minors and separating minors from their guardians as a policy.
-
Apparently at one point the constitution had to be "fucked with" or there wouldn't be amendments. Why is it NOW perfect and untouchable?

Transporting restricted firearms. Process by which legality and level of restriction of firearms is determined. Cities being allowed to ban firearms within their city limits. I am all for legislation that requires licensing for ownership and rules based on use for sport and hunting purposes.

I have. As much as I favour the Canadian gun laws, they continue to have problems and I have contacted representatives multiple times to voice my opinion on making our laws a little less restrictive and arbitrary.
-
Less than a handful of voter fraud cases and the GOP feels that much stricter access to voting is required. Tens of thousands a year dead with guns and the answer is supposedly, more guns.

That church will be whatever you want it to be, as long as you give it money.

How to encourage tax cheating by the very wealthy
SkyDekker replied to kallend's topic in Speakers Corner
Not just people. Zoom increased their profits by something like 4,000% but pays nothing in federal income taxes. 1% in savings due to research and development credits. 99% in savings by paying $302 million in stock options. Of the taxes it did pay (0.8% effective tax rate) about 50% was foreign taxes (28% effective tax rate) -

Fox News makes pretty much the same argument for their on-air personalities. https://www.npr.org/2020/09/29/917747123/you-literally-cant-believe-the-facts-tucker-carlson-tells-you-so-say-fox-s-lawye -
That made the 7th mass shooting in 7 days. Is that what freedom is like?
-
Only additional item I will add here is that Canada signed an agreement with AstraZeneca in September 2020 for 20 million doses.
-
From Canada's perspective that makes perfect sense. Two main drivers: Contracts were signed prior to knowing which, if any, company would get to an approved vaccine. Knowing we don't (yet) have the manufacturing capacity AND that countries manufacturing a vaccine might limit or ban export, it makes sense to overbuy.
-
Just to be clear, you are maintaining the US is giving vaccines to Canada?
-
Canada's contracts for vaccines are with the companies and do not state where the vaccine has to, or may be manufactured. None of them have been pre-paid. Price is stipulated and generally due within 30 days of delivery. None of this takes away from the fact the US is not giving vaccines to Canada as you stated in your post. The US is allowing shipments of vaccines, which have been contracted for, to move from the US to Canada. Under most definitions of "giving" that is not a gift.
