  1. That's BS and you know it -- read through this short thread and you'll realize no one is boasting about how pure their bodies are. Poor attempt to justify being annoyed by opinions that differ from yours. It's not a twist, it's what the discussion is about. So you don't approve of what I post (as if that's news) -- that just ruins my day. Keep 'em comin', sniper, I appreciate that you sweat my posts as often as you do. As you said, Be humble, ask questions, listen, learn, follow the golden rule, talk when necessary, and know when to shut the fuck up.
  2. Thanks for letting us know you're too cool for this thread. Be humble, ask questions, listen, learn, follow the golden rule, talk when necessary, and know when to shut the fuck up.
  3. Yup. I read the book too. Great read, and it reaffirmed and validated my objection to fast food. I wish the book got more publicity than it did when it first came out, but I guess some advertisers wouldn't have been too happy with that. Hunger. It's usually when I'm in a situation like yours, at a highway exit and not much else around...or at some airports where fast food is the only thing available. If I were you I wouldn't feel like such a hypocrite -- after all, you just needed a bite to eat and your choices were limited. By the way, don't know if you heard. Look for Fast Food Nation: The Movie later this year... Be humble, ask questions, listen, learn, follow the golden rule, talk when necessary, and know when to shut the fuck up.
  4. The most I'll get from a fast food joint is fries and/or a baked potato, and that's when I'm hungry and there isn't much else around. The only way I'd eat a burger or any other meat from BK/McD's/Wendy's etc is if my life depended on it. But I certainly wouldn't feel bad if I were you -- twice in a few months isn't so bad...some people eat the sh.t daily -- that's something to be concerned about. Be humble, ask questions, listen, learn, follow the golden rule, talk when necessary, and know when to shut the fuck up.
  5. You're certainly right about that. Here's another reason. Be humble, ask questions, listen, learn, follow the golden rule, talk when necessary, and know when to shut the fuck up.
  6. It is my personal, patriotic mission to rename French Toast to Freedom Toast. I'm writing a letter to Congress. Be humble, ask questions, listen, learn, follow the golden rule, talk when necessary, and know when to shut the fuck up.
  7. At this moment I would like to extend to you my sincerest condolences. Be humble, ask questions, listen, learn, follow the golden rule, talk when necessary, and know when to shut the fuck up.

  9. Cool, will ask about it. Thank you. Be humble, ask questions, listen, learn, follow the golden rule, talk when necessary, and know when to shut the fuck up.
  10. That's helpful, thanks A. Happy New Year to ya. Be humble, ask questions, listen, learn, follow the golden rule, talk when necessary, and know when to shut the fuck up.
  11. Is it possible to make a modification to a J3 container that was manufactured in the late 90's to make it more freefly-friendly? In its current design, the reserve flap does not tuck in, and I'm wondering if it's possible for a rigger to add some extra fabric to the back of the rig to make the flap tuck in. Thank you... 12. Rules are there not to restrict you but to protect you and others in the sky with you. Your thinking might be fine if you're a one-person dropzone and there are no people on the ground that you'll land on. But since you're not a one-man dropzone, your willingness NOT to follow the rules puts other people, both jumpers and non-jumpers, at risk. Next time you're psyched up to break a rule, think about whether you can live with having taken out another jumper or the bad publicity your dropzone is going to get as a result of your decision. You might realize that your thinking is a bit selfish. Be humble, ask questions, listen, learn, follow the golden rule, talk when necessary, and know when to shut the fuck up.
  13. Yes indeed, thanks all, especially to the good folks doing the packing. Because of you I have absolutely no complaints about my weekend jump numbers. I appreciate you all making it possible for me to get some great jumps in on such a busy busy weekend! And of course it goes without saying, those openings were $$$! Muchas gracias! 14. In her own words: (clicky) "Everyone relates me to that man, and I have nothing to do with him," she told the magazine in an article titled: "It Isn't Easy Being the Sexy Bin Laden." She thinks she is. What do you think? Be humble, ask questions, listen, learn, follow the golden rule, talk when necessary, and know when to shut the fuck up.
  15. Wrong. I don't watch network news. Maybe you need to read more. Rather's jack-ass f.ckup aside (and he got what he deserved for it), Bush's absence was NEVER accounted for. I love these cookie-cutter assumptions Bush lackeys make about people who don't agree with this administration. If it comes down to Hillary vs. McCain, I won't vote for Hillary. You are indeed the authority on making sense. Give us some more of your sense, please. This is getting fun. Be humble, ask questions, listen, learn, follow the golden rule, talk when necessary, and know when to shut the fuck up.
  16. I can bet you anything that Ms. Amazon didn't go AWOL and get some strings pulled to get her books cooked. And you have the balls to tell me in a previous thread that I don't make sense. Well, you are the authority on that, aren't you. Be humble, ask questions, listen, learn, follow the golden rule, talk when necessary, and know when to shut the fuck up.
  17. Well, we're back on track tomorrow morning. I knew they'd cry uncle soon enough. Be humble, ask questions, listen, learn, follow the golden rule, talk when necessary, and know when to shut the fuck up.
  18. What you said is not at all what I meant, and Mr. Rehmwa knows what I mean about the innuendo. Read my post again. Maybe it will take a few times, but I trust that you'll get it. Be humble, ask questions, listen, learn, follow the golden rule, talk when necessary, and know when to shut the fuck up.
  19. You're great at these veiled innuendos, and I have a begrudging admiration for how you word them. Obviously a reference to my posts about Harlem yesterday. But as usual, you're so far off target with your assumption and complete missing of the point that I won't sweat you more than I already have. To the original poster, good for you. I'm not a gun enthusiast by any means, have never had a need for a gun, and you won't see me partaking in any of the pro-gun posting frenzies on here. But I believe that since so many morons out there are inclined to violence and already own guns, so should the rest of the more intelligent and well-meaning population -- particularly, for situations like yours. Stay well. Be humble, ask questions, listen, learn, follow the golden rule, talk when necessary, and know when to shut the fuck up.
  20. On the one hand, you wish the village would lose its idiot as you said in another thread, and on the other, you keep his garbage coming with your constant responses to it. Most of his posts are an eyesore not only to you but to others...and your attention to it just doesn't help. That's all. Be humble, ask questions, listen, learn, follow the golden rule, talk when necessary, and know when to shut the fuck up.
  21. Dude, no offense, but WHY do you constantly feed this troll? Between you and a couple others, and no offense to them either, you make his threads hot by the back-and-forth with him and he ends up getting all the attention he's out for. Exactly what he wants, and exactly what you don't want. Not to mention that you walk the line of getting yourself in trouble with what you write him. Given that he admittedly writes what he does to press buttons, don't ya think it's better to just ignore his garbage? Be humble, ask questions, listen, learn, follow the golden rule, talk when necessary, and know when to shut the fuck up.
  22. good vibes to you from here.... try to take up meditation....like some others here have said, mind over matter, it really might help also, take lots of omega-3 fish oils (epa/dha) -- known to benefit brain cells good luck and get better

  24. And of course if I take the high ground by being a gentleman and responding with reason and not reciprocating with the namecalling then what I write gets glossed over and I get labeled a pansy liberal. I'll take you implying that I'm a hypocrite over that any day. Be humble, ask questions, listen, learn, follow the golden rule, talk when necessary, and know when to shut the fuck up.
  25. I wouldn't say it disqualifies you from being one in light of what you write. Who could argue with that? But contrary to what you might think or what your experiences have been, I don't think groups in Harlem tend to mugging me or others who are not like them. Call that naive or stupid, but my experiences in Harlem are no worse than they have been further downtown. I'll still keep going to Harlem when I like. Don't take my quote out of context. I meant that you sound full of fear from what you're saying about Harlem. Whatever your experiences were, NYC has changed quite a bit. Maybe you have some crappy memories of it but you should note that NYC has one of the lowest crime rates of big cities in the states and there's heaps of fun to be had here. Be humble, ask questions, listen, learn, follow the golden rule, talk when necessary, and know when to shut the fuck up.
