Taking a Chicken on a Skydive -- Animal Cruelty?
masterblaster72 replied to masterblaster72's topic in Speakers Corner
Hmm...debating the intelligence of a chicken. Not much different than a pro/con discussion about our president. Gotta love Speaker's Corner! -
...no, you don't judge people. Not in the least. And just in case you respond with the cookie-cutter "G-d judges, not me" response, -- BULLSHIT. What you wrote above is hateful, Taliban-esque spew. I used to be "born again" just like you. Then I was born again back into reality. Taking a Chicken on a Skydive -- Animal Cruelty?
masterblaster72 replied to masterblaster72's topic in Speakers Corner
Interesting post. Care to elaborate on the part I bolded? The man who posted above you, who was on the jump, implied that chickens aren't very intelligent, so I wonder what your source is for a chicken's intelligence being in the same range as a dog's or cat's...just curious, thanks. are you kidding!!! at leas a play lasts more than 2 seconds!! american football would have to be the most boring games to watch. you get 2 seconds of play then 5 minutes of ads, then two fat dudes talking about the 2 seconds of play and then more ads and then 2 more seconds of play....now that is boring. I totally agree! Soccer ROCKS! 2 sets of 45 min.. non-stop different culture that's what it is... needs to understand it to like it.

Cult leader claims to be antichrist
masterblaster72 replied to SpeedRacer's topic in Speakers Corner
REPOST!! REPOST!! After that post back in February I did some reading on this fellow. Supposedly he has backed away recently from statements about him being the antichrist...these cults fascinate me. They attract all kinds. In addition to the obvious clueless dumb sheep, they also attract some very intelligent people as well. One of his followers is a self-made millionaire who gave his business and millions to this man, while abandoning his family because of their disapproval. Similarly, the spokesperson for David Koresh was a Harvard graduate, and the guy who mixed the kool-aid at Jonestown was a doctor... Good stuff... If true, this would probably the second sound decision of Bush's two terms in office. This, and enacting the "do-not-call" list will be the "points of light" of his legacy as president. Funniest post of the day Thanks for the laugh. @Kennedy In the conspiracy-addled spirit of the zeitgeist movie, I suspect you're JohnRich just posting under a different name/avatar. Yes, it's extremely inhumane. I'll bet you're the type who has no compunction about eating gingerbread men too, you cannibal. Be humble, ask questions, listen, learn, follow the golden rule, talk when necessary, and know when to shut the fuck up.

Because it is easier for someone to simply ignore you rather than go through the uncomfortable task of telling you to get lost. Simply put, it makes the other person feel better to simply ignore you. Not nice, I know, but this is internet communication -- it's just too easy to hit the "close" or "delete" button rather than to write out something that's not so easy to write out. No, but if that's what you're expecting when communicating with someone via the internet, perhaps you're expecting a bit much. Most people, at least when communicating with them via the internet, probably aren't going to conform to your idea of what's courteous. Nope, my arguments here wouldn't affect my attitude toward people in real life in the least. I'd meet my biggest opponent here with a big smile and a handshake. As much sh.t as I talk here, I don't judge people by their political or religious beliefs. I'm sure most folks here are plenty of fun to be around. All are perfect descriptions of your posts. All one needs to do is refer to your obstinateness, mangled logic and busted spelling to make the connection. Be humble, ask questions, listen, learn, follow the golden rule, talk when necessary, and know when to shut the fuck up.

And another completely vacuous response with an invented, nonexistent word by rushmc. Be humble, ask questions, listen, learn, follow the golden rule, talk when necessary, and know when to shut the fuck up.

I disagree. There ... see you would fit in well in the Speakers Corner. Now as far as this forum is concerned ... just scream out "Look at me" ... "look how freaking popular I want to be". Kind of like this? Be humble, ask questions, listen, learn, follow the golden rule, talk when necessary, and know when to shut the fuck up.

Just another example of you eating only the propaganda that you want to hear, and ignoring facts that don't agree with your viewpoint. Be humble, ask questions, listen, learn, follow the golden rule, talk when necessary, and know when to shut the fuck up.

Roman Catholic Church only true church, says Vatican

I, for one, can certainly respect that. Be humble, ask questions, listen, learn, follow the golden rule, talk when necessary, and know when to shut the fuck up. -
What is your opinion of the Bonfire forum?

So in other words....you're still banned in there for stirring shit? Uh, no...never been banned for anything on this site. I post in the bonfire when a thread interests me. Be humble, ask questions, listen, learn, follow the golden rule, talk when necessary, and know when to shut the fuck up. -
To parrot you: Thanks for proving my point!! Be humble, ask questions, listen, learn, follow the golden rule, talk when necessary, and know when to shut the fuck up.

Specific examples please? You've got to be fucking kidding me. Oh that's right, you're not kidding. Why would someone give you a list of examples when all you do is post a completely incoherent non-sequitur response, littered with a parroted "Bush hater" or "liberal," term, ending with "thanks for proving my point!" It's the equivalent of a five-year-old closing his ears and saying "lalalalalalala I can't hear you!!" Be humble, ask questions, listen, learn, follow the golden rule, talk when necessary, and know when to shut the fuck up.

So you reduce "action" to terms like "acts" and "works." I believe actions are what define a person, and if your god doesn't recognize good action and doing good things (Mother Theresa for example, who was not a born-again Christian) just because that person doesn't believe what YOU believe, then once again -- I'm happy I'm not a member of your church. So your god sent Jesus so that everyone would be bound to his death for their entire lives along the narrow lines of what you believe, lest they rot in hell forever and ever. You know what? No thanks. I don't need a martyr to impose such a rigid set of rules on me. That's a bum deal. I was as born-again as you. I believed exactly what you believe now, and I was in the business of telling people they'd go to hell for not believing what I believe. Weak. You totally judged me, you're the one who said above that I have a "wicked" heart. You're the one who said I was never 'saved' to begin with. You're the one who's willfully ignorant and completely closed to what others believe, and your judgement of others is nothing short of hateful. Enjoy. masterblaster72 replied to CanuckInUSA's topic in Speakers Corner
Dude, why didn't you attach an HTML file? That's your trademark, no? That picture is an effing riot I saved it to my laptop and I'm very tempted to make it my avatar, but it would lose its detail and hilarity in such a small size. Be humble, ask questions, listen, learn, follow the golden rule, talk when necessary, and know when to shut the fuck up. -
How are you defining what is a "born-again" Christian? In my case, it was "accepting Jesus as 'my Lord and personal saviour,'" reading the Bible twice cover-to-cover, going to pentecostal church on Sunday and singing and speaking in tongues, handing out tracts to strangers and sandwiches to the homeless in downtown Philly, 'witnessing' to those who didn't believe what I did, bible study during the week, praying very often...yada... I have no regrets about it; it was during a tough period in my life as a teenager while my parents were separated and at war with each other with me in the middle of it all, one in which I could have easily turned to drugs. Instead I turned to religion, and it served its purpose for a while, giving me hope in the midst of my misery at the time, until I started asking serious questions and not getting any logical answers that made sense. You can consider me a permanent "backslider." Be humble, ask questions, listen, learn, follow the golden rule, talk when necessary, and know when to shut the fuck up.

True. I have to admit though, I've been guilty more than once of pleading for vibes in the bonfire One thing to add to your list is a thread about what a scary place speaker's corner is -- I've seen heaps of those in bonfire. Good post pajarito I listened to the first hour of that WOTM broadcast on Catholicism while I was cleaning my apartment the other night. While I share a lot of views in common with the fellow in regard to the Catholic church (and he said nothing new, as I heard this same thing 20 years ago when I was a born-again Christian), I have to say that I found his condemnation of hundreds of millions of people *very* distasteful. Equally distasteful is the pope's declaration yesterday that the Catholic church is the only true church. For this reason I will never believe in any religion that looks to divide rather than bring people together. The golden rule (the essence of the ten commandments and of most religions) is what I try to live by. All the other dogma and doctrine surrounding it is an extraneous distraction that serves no good purpose. Be humble, ask questions, listen, learn, follow the golden rule, talk when necessary, and know when to shut the fuck up.

masterblaster72 replied to cocheese's topic in Speakers Corner
With some exceptions, it's mostly people who apparently have no lives, sucking each other off in their own cliques, making pathetic attempts at being funny, making themselves laugh with their very lame inside jokes. 95%of it is fluff and garbage. For some reason I noticed that many of the postwhores in there are from Texas -- there must be absolutely nothing to do in that abyss. The forum could make for much better reading if the postwhores would learn to fucking contain themselves a bit. Be humble, ask questions, listen, learn, follow the golden rule, talk when necessary, and know when to shut the fuck up.
