  1. QuoteI hope my effective tax rate will be 15% one day! That way I can spend more on stuff and help the ecomy grow and grow and grow.
  2. I think many of the little boys we have here on DZ.COM need to MAN UP. You don't have to like it...it's war, you just need to learn to deal with it. As an AMERICAN I stand with these men, maybe a moment in the corner, and a slap on the wrist with some sensitivity training. Other than that, get the hell out of the way and let these MEN, do what they are trained to do, kill the enemy and if blowing off some steam is required so be it. As for the camera man, a ass kicking for being an idiot for filming it.
  3. I'm sure we could have this back and forth banter until were both BLUE in the face. We're like fans at a foot ball game...your team is better than my team. Hell we're more than likely to throw pop corn at one another while passing out verbal jabs at each other. But like most games there is a winner and losser. President Clinton was a loser in my eyes in the beginning, didn't vote for him either time, however in the end he was SUCCESSFUL working with a majority from the opposite party in controling our national debt. There were however other issues I opposed him on, but history from a financial point is clear. I found this video informative, but like most things here in Speaker Corner, some will find it full of crap. Link it for I'm being called away at the momennt. http://www.physicsforums.com/showthread.php?t=317827
  4. Just one of many examples I could provide. Mario Loyola authored the following. "....The president likes to target the “special subsidies” we give oil companies. What he’s talking about is manufacturing tax deductions, expensing for intangible business costs, and depletion tax allowances. These tax-related provisions, which the president misleadingly characterizes as special perks for oil and gas companies, are generally available to all American manufacturers. Eliminating them would in fact single out the energy industry for punitive tax treatment — and it already pays out a higher proportion of its income in taxes than virtually any other industry. In his 2012 budget, Obama proposed eliminating twelve such tax-related provisions, generating $46 billion over ten years, all of which would go to his proposed $148 billion in subsidies for green and renewable energy. If adopted, this confiscatory scheme would transfer more than $4 billion a year from the oil-and-gas sector to alternative energy — and the administration is proud of it! Mark this, from the White House website: The energy industry objects that drillers will have to cut back the money they spend on development by about a third, eliminating or deferring hundreds and potentially thousands of jobs. No doubt the thought of all those job losses keeps the president up at night — but we have to start shutting down the fossil-fuel industry in order to make sure the oceans begin to recede and the planet begins to heal. That was the real purpose of Obama’s moratorium on offshore drilling after the Gulf spill. The president explained at the time that the moratorium was needed to protect the Gulf from another spill until we could make sure the drilling could be done safely, but he doesn’t seem to have expected anyone to believe that. From a technical point of view, the explanation didn’t make any sense at all. It was quickly repudiated by the experts whom the administration claimed to have consulted, not to mention tossed out of federal court along with the moratorium itself multiple times. An accident like what happened in April 2010 cannot occur until the very final days of drilling and preparing a well for production — in particular, the few days when you’re cementing the well and need to counteract the pressure in the reservoir, without knowing exactly what that pressure is. In the months of drilling before the pipe reaches the reservoir, you’re drilling into sheer rock the whole time (virtually no risk of a spill). So why halt all drilling activity? Well, just look at the results: As of June, 10 of the 33 drilling rigs present in the Gulf before the spill had left to other countries, and another 8 that were destined for the Gulf had been detoured. According to one recent study, 60,000 jobs were lost along the Gulf coast in 2010 alone as a result of Obama’s deepwater-drilling moratorium and slow-walking of shallow-water permits. Gov. Bobby Jindal justly called Obama’s policies a “second Katrina.” Those job losses were not a collateral result of Obama’s policy — they were the policy’s objective. The moratorium was part of an overall strategy of constricting domestic oil production, the purpose of which (if the secretary of energy is to be believed) is to increase oil prices. Huge new finds in the deepest U.S. waters in the Gulf have drawn some of the remaining drilling rigs, but according to another recent report, the slowdown in permitting could drive most of the rest out of the Gulf in coming months. According to one expert, the current level of rigs is “unsustainable” at current rates of permitting."....
  5. Only one that mentioned he was pissed off was Andy9o8. I don't think he is Islamophobic though. As for me, I'm taking some Deep cleansing breaths as well...just alittle lite headed right now.
  6. Deep cleansing breaths, IN/OUT, it will help calm you.
  7. > you love to bring emotion into things dont you Liberals define everything in terms of their emotins. Well at least those I have come into contact with. It's like talking to a WALL, seems silly I know, why even try.
  8. Maybe in a theoretical sense, but I don't see alot of evidence in a practical sense. I wonder, what are the primary reasons our DZ.COM friends that support Obama, would seriously consider giving him a second term. For me, I have no one in the current Republician field I wish to vote for. My vote however will be cast as "ANY BODY BUT OBAMA" RUSH, may have wanted Obama to fail, but he has succeeded beyond expectations. It only took him 3 years to distroy the country he, his mother and friends so loathed.
  9. Well, seems to me that 50% of DZ.COM poster will continue to vote Democtat for one more reason. Obama, the smartest man to ever own a teleprompter because it makes him sound smart.
  10. Interesting that you didn't have this same view when Bush was informed that America was under attack. It's all about our guy Vs your guy. Like a sports team, no matter how bad OBAMA SUCKs we're sticking with him.
  11. > "What a loser"!!!! Is exactly the point. Obama has been a leader who has been absent except for those times he has return to the White House to do Laundry in preparation for his next vacation.
  12. Well, I personally would rather not vote for the Man...I think he's a little wacky. However with that said, Anybody but Obama is were I will be in the end. If he desides to go 3rd. party, then anybody who votes for him is really casting a vote for OBAMA Principal be damned...3rd party is OBAMA's only hope, and would be the end of a once great nation.

    Ron Paul

Yep. He actually wants to try something different from the present reality we have. Which sucks ass. I'll vote for him BECAUSE he wants to try a different reality. Say its not so Law-Man, say its not so.
  14. > Does it make you mad every time you drive past a church? No...his head spins 360 with his eyes rolling back into his head while yelling, "why do you torment me...why do you torment me..."
  15. Got to love the Lone Star State. Don't MESS with Texas

    Ron Paul

Ron Paul called MB a liar, saying the report didn't exist. Ron Paul, like Neville chamberlain, says clearly that he is an appeaser. The 25 million killed in WW2 offer grim testimony to the folly of Chamberlain's philosophy. RP has no solutions other than to run away, or nonsensically apply a standard of negotiation unilaterally with renegade, oppressive , dictatorial, governments and terrorist organizations as if they were honorable established lawful governments. Ridiculous. There were no "implied' conclusions in the IAEA report I read. The report was too concise and mentioned only established events confirmed by either Iranian communique, or confirmed written observations and field reports from IAEA specialists. As far as the heavy water in the hands of an outlaw nation that is an established exporter of world wide terrorism, the reader, may draw their own conclusions as to what end the Iranians are headed. The UN, and it's Security Council, including the Russians and Chinese disagree with your evaluation. Check out the Security Council diary if you wish. Being a veteran and also active in many Veterans events every year in Washington DC, Ft. Campbell, Ft. Bragg, and around the nation I disagree with your "overwhelming support" claim. I haven't seen it or witnessed anything that would bear out your statement from my interactions with our active duty troops.. I don't know who the "established political entities" are that you claim to know about. Yes, we agree that RP is determined to avoid another war. His 1960's, hippy-esque view of the world would be laughable, except that too many troopers die and end up in wheel chairs or missing limbs exactly because of attitudes like his. RP's answer to dealing with an enemy, who has already killed US service members, is unknown. When asked, he goes off on a prepackaged quasi-speech about avoiding war. RP doesn't answer how he would protect the nation as president, other than to to start spouting antiwar gibberish when he was asked the question. I don't think RP is stupid. Misguided, unaware, uninformed, egotistical....... I'm positive that he is a dandy grandfather. Voting is the best thing for all of us to do. Not sure, but Ron Paul, did he mention that the attacks on the WTC were an Inside Job? Meet the man on two seperate occassions, but I can't find it within me to support him as a President. Excellent.......!!! You have actually met RP. Please share with we readers here your impressions. I have never met him, but I also know that what we see on the tube is not the total package. Thx B-man. Very pleasant man, now that I think about it I acturally meet him 4 time maybe more, although the first few times I was a teenager. I worked as a press runner in my youth, for a Dem. Robert Gammage (Bob) who defeated Congressmen Ron Paul if I remember correctly in 1976 and served in congress from 1977 until 1979 when he lost to Ron Paul in the 78 election. Hell now that I reflect back on this time in my life, I also meet and shook hands with President Jimmy Carter and First Lady in a reception line during a meet and great dinner. I think back on those days as a young kid and might post some photo of those days, after dusting off some photo albums. Meet Ron Paul again many years later at two of those evil Tea Party Rallies. Have some awesome photo of tthose events as well along with some Astronaut friends I worked with at the time. One of those events took place at Clear Lake Park near the Lakes Bulk Head. Astronaut Mario Runco got a little to close and slipped and feel into the very cold water. We laughed about that for sometime, even when we were underwater at the Neutral Buoyancy Lab "Sonny Carter" facility and I was his Safety Diver he would bring that up. But in the Extravehicular Mobility Unit (EMU) Space Suit this time he was safe and dry.

it is the Dems who consistently bitch about those who do not talk as eloquently as they think they should. The irony of you post is obvious Well lets me more clear, Dems only bitch at those who speak without prepaired statements written for them and delivered by a telepromter. Take away Obama's telepromter and he is a blethering idiot. Smartest man to ever grace the White House my ASS Now off to do a little Tebowing in support of Two High School students (New York) being suspended for doing the TEBOW....Must be some DEM Wit DUM ASS OBAMA Supporter who pulled this crap out of their ASS. "They may take your right to engage in Tebowing, but they can’t take…YOUR TEBOWWWWWWWWW!!!"
  19. You're an engineer - figure it out. I'm sure it's just like an AN2; the default position of all the controls when it loses it's signals puts it into a gentle glide, perfectly suitable for a smooth landing if you luck out over flat terrain. That would be built into it to save the aircraft, presuming that friendly hands could recover it, so it could be re-used. If Obama had any balls, he would have dropped a bomb on it to destroy it before the Iranians recovered it. "With early knowledge that the aircraft had likely remained intact, the senior U.S. official also told Fox News that President Obama was presented with three separate options for retrieving or destroying the drone. The president ultimately decided not to proceed with any of the plans because it could have been seen as an act of war, the official told Fox News. Among the options the U.S. considered were sending in a special-ops team to retrieve the drone; sending in a team to blow up the aircraft; and launching an airstrike to destroy it."

They had several options available, all which had to be approved by the WH. It appears that did not happen in time or someother excuss for not distorying this drone. The Military is very concerned now that our enemies have the necessary tecnology to advance their weapons programs that could cause the death of hundred if not thousand of our fighting men and women in combat situations in the future. I'll see if my skills have improve to attach some of this chatter.
  21. Shit, Channing -- take care of yourself! Heal fast. Wendy P. One of our very own Spaceland jumpers "CODY" was my ICU nurse at Herman Memorial Medical Center. That dude was great, not to mention he just got his A lic. Had the Mitro Valve repaired, with no regurgetation as before surgery, it was at about 55% I believe. I also have a awesome video of my heart when they restarted it before closing me up. So now on that legal road to have may medical reinstated with the FAA. Have a great firm representing me and with the repair I can submit the paper work 3 month after Post Op. instead of the 6 month period had it been something like bypass or valve replacement. So I see ya in Feburary, DJ is getting me recurrent.
  22. Currently most seem to be. Although the ZATA's if the name is correct are terrorist in my book, and they are working hard at taking the number one spot from the Arabs. But then again I could be full of it...and therefore back to my self imposed BANNING.
  23. I'm no longer at NASA, in that environment listening to any radio program without ear phones was not advised because it interfered with work. Were I'm working these days, the company is very conservative for the most part and many of us listen to Talk radio during the day i.e. KTRH 740 or 950 MOJO Radio. Now to be honest, although this station is tuned in most days, were not standing around listening and discussing it. We are quite busy; I mostly catch up with it during lunch, otherwise its background noise. Bullying is such a harsh word; we perfer to call it indoctrination Seriously I'm working in a world outside of government that this type of issue is typically not a problem. Very few of us carry our sensitivities on our shirt sleeves. We all know how to suck it up and not be so offended because something said or heard comes across our ears that we may disagree with. In the end we all get along like a family, not always pretty, but in the end we're not out trying to score political points or cause an uncomfortable work environment. If talk radio, becomes a problem for someone, we will switch it over to KSBJ Christian Radio, that makes everybody happy. OK, I'm trying to be somewhat funny here, but after Open Heart Surgery several weeks ago I'm not allowed to laugh, it hurts. Hope to see you at the DZ soon. Cheers to ya.
  24. It is extremely rude to expose sane people to the rantings of a crazy, drug addled gasbag. I have gone into retail business establishments, heard Lush Rimjob being "shared" with the staff and customers, and done the following - I picked up some of the expensive items I likely would have bought if they weren't clueless idiots, taken them to the check out counter, and asked to speak to a manager/owner. When that person showed up, I tell them that, due to the "entertainment" being forced upon thier potential customers, I was NOT going to purchase the items that day. All three of the businesses in my area that had this issue are now closed. Is there a connection? I sure hope so. Too bad I don't work for ASCAP and thus would have had the ability to cost them a ton of money for rebroadcasting copyrighted material in public spaces without paying for the privlege. I think your story is made up, YEP I don't believe YOU, that story is like getting struck by lightening more than four times in a life time. I can't see one person such as yourself impacting a business because he was subjected to over hearing a group of people discussing Rush's program or any other such topics. What's the name of that card game?? "Bull Shit" that sums it up. That's just my .02 cents. Now off to myself imposed BANNING
