Some of those Wack-jobs had it coming. I was going through several You Tube Videos where several peaceful protesters began throwing punches and assaulting peaceful officers only trying to do their jobs. I think they are lucky not getting a night stick across the head.

My Wife, just hired (2) NEW INTERPRETERS My company, just hired another Engineer P.E. and a Designer. Thats 4 people, with jobs, and it was completed well below $200,000 per job that our current administration thinks is a good return on tax payer funder programs.

If someone breaks into my home, to rob, plunder and kill, I'm all for the DEATH PENALTY.

Now you've done it...blurred the clear line of separation of church and DZ.com. You’re in pearl of being banned if you keep this up.

I agree, but I think you don't understand what an entitlement is. *** en·ti·tle [en-tahyt-l] Show IPA verb (used with object), -tled, -tling. 1. to give (a person or thing) a title, right, or claim to something; furnish with grounds for laying claim: His executive position entitled him to certain courtesies rarely accorded others.*** To me an entitlement is a gift that someone comes to expect. I'd hardly call being forced to surrender something monetarily and then asking for it back, the same as say free medical care because one didn't self-insure. Can we take your statement as one that disagrees with Obamacare or are you still beieving the lie that it will pay for itself in savings? I've had to put Skydiving on Hold a bit, after I complete my Open Heart surgery for a Mitrol Valve Repair. Blue Cross and Blue Shield are giving me some grief that I was without coverage/lapsed coverage for 3 months prior to being covered under my new employer's plan. While working this out, and not sure how this little chapter in my life will end, I've made arrangements with Methodist Hospital, to pay in cash if required at a reduced rate. I guess if you have insurance the cost is far greater than with cash. Yep, It will cost me a great deal upwards of 80K out of my JSC Federal Credit Union savings account, not what I planned on spending the money on but I guess the RV-8 Airplane can wait.
-
Well, I think we should call the ambulance. But if the Hospital turns them away because he/she has no health insurance and tells the ambulance crew to transport them to the charity hospital 20 miles away, does he/she still not receive care. It's a damn good thing it did'nt take place in Mexico, because you better be able to pay, or otherwise your in some serious shit.

> I also think that Perry calling SS a "Ponzi scheme" will ultimately cause his downfall. It would seem to me and millions more, that SS is just that, a "Ponzi Scheme". May not sit well with voters, but the truth sometimes is hard to swallow.

Once again the media whips everyone into a frenzy...

Yep. I mean, they've only counted 15 people killed so far and only 3 million people are without power. Fuck, I wanted a real disaster. ARE YOU NUTS?!? So negative. Irene actually saved lives. How many fewer traffic accidents were there because people stayed off the roads? I agree, this storm is responsible for saving 100's of lives. -
Hasn't there been several examples of men being convicted for the killing their wifes (Scott Peterson) and while doing so caused the death of an un-born fetus. Now, just wondering out loud here, but if a court of law can convict for murder as well as hold you responsible for the death of an un-born child, is it because they see the fetus as life.

Warren Buffett calls for higher taxes for US super rich
Channman replied to dreamdancer's topic in Speakers Corner
Well, I was only thinking shared sacrifice so that everyone has skin in the game so to speak, that is the current talking point, or maybe it's change into something else. I don't think I've change my position on taxes if I even have stated a personnal position. But if I have, it would be to limit taxes, expand opportunity to invest, develop and allow the private sector companies the opportunity to build businesses here in the US without placing unnecessary restrictions on them, allowing them to compete with China, India... That might be a half ass position, I shall ponder this further, until then I must Ban myself for the evening, maybe even longer which is a good thing for all. Right Winger, sticking it to low income people. Damn, about 30 years ago I was one of them Low income people. 16 billion, thats a good start. Now we help them low income familys up the ladder of success, and we can double that for ya in about 5 years or so. (Win, Win) Even a Lefty/Righty can see the benefits of helping their fellow man...oops sorry, I forgot us righties only stick it to em...damnit just once I thought I was on to something. -

I 100 percent agree with you. Now if we could get the other 48-51 percent of those who pay nothing to share in the scrifice as the rest of us...we would all have skin in the game as the big O would say. -
Warren Buffett calls for higher taxes for US super rich
Channman replied to dreamdancer's topic in Speakers Corner
Ya How many billions is it suspected he made when the down grade was anounced? He may be calling for more taxes on the rich but I think he has got something up his sleve If someone is so hell bent on wanting his taxes raised, and thinks he is taking the Moral High ground in requesting such a tax. I would only suggest he write out a check for 5 Billion and submit it to the US treasury. Put your money where you month is BuckWheat (Warren) and do it already. One thing I can't stand is a Cheese Eating Weasel who belly acks he's not paying enough but want do a damn thing about it. Warren!!! write the dame check or Shut the Hell Up. -
Twaddle - show me where he's said that religion should run gov't. You're espousing what you WANT to believe about him, not what there is evidence of him believing. Well, no evidence unless you count the 30,000 people he got to show up to pray for government. I'm fairly certain that if a Muslim did that, people would be rioting in the streets. It seem to me you fear people of faith, I might be wrong, just an observation. Million Man March which occurred on the Mall in Washington DC was organized by Dr. Benjamin Chavis amoung many othe chapters of the NAACP and the National African American Leadership Summit. The Keynote Address was delievered by a Muslim Man "Louis Farrakhan" The march was followed by another event, "Stand in the Gap" a Promise Keeper event attended by an equal number of men of All Races. They two had a Keynote speaker who was a Christian. If my memory serves me well, and it does...I'm fairly certain there was no rioting in the streets by either group. Well in the case of Muslim no rioting...maybe christian attending in such a mass might be consider a riot by some. So take a deep breath, all is well, nothing is going to happen to you. I'm sure your just as free today as you will be in the future to continue doing as you see fit.

No problem, glad to be of service.

You support the New Apostolic Reformation? A group that preaches hate! A group that supports the take over of the U.S. government! A group that is widely considered to be a cult! How can any person, in their right mind, support a cult? Don't recall, any oath last Saturday that we should commit ourselves to take over the USA. Well there was a commitment to pray for our nation and it's leaders that I do remember. Maybe that is the hate speech your thinking of. It was a small gathering of only 30,000 plus AMERICANS seeing that half the stadium was closed off by the stage and large Black drapes. Citizen of the USA, coming together because they love their country...including two citizens that happen to be Gov's., one from Texas & the other Kansas. Yes an opportunity to gather peacefully as our Constitution allows, assemble ourselves in a common place and Pray to our Creator who by the way happens to have a son by the name of Jesus, who's pretty cool once you get to know him. I would provide photos, but I don't see any benefit in doing so.

> I was there, it was awesome. As we where walking along about or I don't know 2-3 hundred of use working our way around to the entrance we came accross about maybe 30-40 protesters, mostly atheist I guess due to several signs they carried..."Your imaginary friend is a bully", another "Seperate Hate from State". Athiest or not, they put little effort or creative thought in their signs. Many must have been created by small children learning how to write with permanent markers. Well they were'nt very happy about us moving through their group, being so many of us against so few of them, I mean a side walk is only so big, can't accommodate large crouds. Another thing I noticed about the protesters, very little staying power... by 3:00 PM they were down to about 20 or so. Well I guess their message was not all that important anyway.

plenty of rebuttal in the comments listed below the artical.

It would help if people would read the thread title. Forget everyone else, what (else) would you give up? If the answer is nothing, you are part of the problem. I thought of another thing. I trust my adult neighbors to decide for themselves how much tobacco, drugs, alcohol, gambling, and/or prostitution is right for them, and would gladly give up the "public service" of prosecuting and imprisoning them. Further, I'd gladly submit to a 50% tax on those vices anytime I choose to partake. Blues, Dave OK, I'm willing to give up on the IRS...and go with a flat tax say 15-18 percent accross the board. If you make more than a $100.00 of income you pay 15-18 dollars to the feds. I think everyone with income of $100.00 dollars or more should make a shared sacrifice.

I also will continue to do all the above as well and the following: Contribute time to help families facing major medical challenges by donating my time at Ronnald McDonald House. Continue using my personnal finances to provide Angle Flights for the above.

Depends on the cash, duddenit? Part of the problem is that people with cash aren't spending it. So the investors aren't seeing any return on investment coming up. Did I not read, somewhere yesterday that some in Europe where actually pulling money out of the banks. Just wondering if any one knows more on this?

> Most expensive yes...however to say the work is less than par would be out of line. I've been involved in the fabrication business, and or Construction for more than 30 years. I have major issues with Unions, I believe many of the orginizations are corrupt...but that is my bias. It is however the primary reason when able to submit work to an outside Vendor, I perfer non-union shops. Substancially more cost effective, and usually on time.
