Here's some options for you - A: Sex with George W. Bush at the boogie. B: Sex with Janet Reno at the boogie. I'm not sure which would be more horriffic. Just the thought of having sex with a whuffo at a boogie is enough to make me cringe. Easy Does It

Meeting George W - Chances are, five minutes after you meet him, he won't remember you from Sam Hill - (Who the hell IS Sam Hill, anyway?) He won't Drunk Dial you, you'll never meet him again, he won't buy you a jump when you broke and haven't jumped in three weeks, and you'll NEVER do a hybrid with him at the WFFC or Richmond. Going to the DZ.com boogie - You'll meet people you'll know forever, they WILL drunk dial your ass if you're on the list, they may very well buy you a jump one day, or at least a few beers, and you'll see them again at Rantoul, or Richmond, or Couch Freaks, or at you local DZ, etc etc etc. Answer is simple - Go to the boogie! Easy Does It
  4. When I'm not skydiving? I'm thinking about skydiving, or how to make more $$ for skydiving, or working and looking forward to the next time I'll skydive, or sitting around the house thinking about jumping, or working in the garage thinking about how I'd rather be at the DZ. Nothing out of the ordinary, really. Easy Does It
  5. On Me - Pullup cord. Couple extra rubber bands. Cheap disposable camera for those "Kodak" moments. Driver's license, a business card from the DZ, and my USPA card. In the gearbag - (aside from the usual helmet, jumpsuit, logbook, etc-) Extra pullups, Motrin, more rubber bands, Rolaids, Sudafed, water - In the summertime I keep some extra clothes, toothbrush, and contact lens crap in there - In the winter time all the same and some extra warm clothes. And a VHS tape tp dub vidoe footage on. Easy Does It
  6. Thank you and thanks to all- I never really had grandparents, they had either passed away before I was born or when I was quite young- So this is really pretty new territory for me- But I never met a really unhappy grandparent, so it must not be too bad- I wonder how many kids out there can say "My Grandpa Skydives!!!!" Well, a few I'm sure, but not many! Rock On, My friends!
  7. Yeah - Smokers- Urgh! I was off cigarettes for three years, started back for six months, then back off about a month ago. Already I feel so much better and smoke reeks like ass to me. Shitty thing is my wife and my daughter both smoke. Yuck. I insist they keep the damn things away from me. Hopefully I can get them to keep it out of the house, too. Easy Does It
  8. And given me a place to make a complete fool of myself! Oh - wait - I do that just about everywhere - So why not here, too? Thanks again, HH! Easy Does It
  9. Good luck, my friend! Hope you scire the job and get paid huge sums of money, so you can haul it directly to your DZ and local gear dealer! Easy Does It
  10. It's been a little while since we've heard some noise for the great HH-- The man has made some great improvements to what is, without a doubt, the best, of skydiving websites. The man absolutely ROCKS! So I'll start it, and let's see how many replies we get!!! HIM, HIM, FUCK HIM!!! (Now repeat, with feeling!) I CAN"T HEAR YOU!!!!
  11. It's pretty far out, really- Thanks to y'all for the good wishes! This is such a great community to belong to! I'm getting used to the idea - Liz will be living in Alaska soon, and we have plans to travel up there just about the same time the baby is due. We hope to be there in time for the Solistce Boogie at Wasilla. Could be a real Good Vibe thing for her and the baby, too, ya think?
  12. I haven't seen it before - That's a good one! Easy Does It
  13. Just recently got news my oldest daughter, Liz, is expecting!! She's due in late June. Holy shit. I'm gonna be "Grandpa Lenny" - or "Grandpa Dumpster" - or "Grandpa No-Pull". Yikes, man, I'm only 41!! The pregnancy wasn't "planned", but my viewpoint is kids are NEVER mistakes. It feels really, really weird!
  14. I think it was a joke. Nooooo - Really now? Easy Does It
  15. 0:3:0 Had a thanksgiving dinner that couldn't be beat, went and saw Bad Santa- (I will never look at a shopping mall santa the same -) The movie was an absolute RIOT! Three jumps on Saturday after three weeks with nothing - Felt SO GOOD to get back in the air!! LadySkyDiver dropped in with her man Keith - Had a nice visit and did a little catching up- Good to see you, Girl! And a pleasure meeting you Keith! Went to dinner with fellow RW team mate Ken on Saturday night, took my daughter Sarah out to buy a dress for the club Christmas party on Sunday. We've begun to make plans for our tunnel visit to Orlando in March. So far we have Sarah, Ken and myself going for a total of two hours between the three of us. Made some more piles of sawdust in the garage- Drank beer!!!! Easy Does It
  16. I muat admit it's not much of a spectator sport, and that's probably the biggest reason it's not a "mainstream" sport such as other andrenaline rushes like snowboarding, mountain biking, etc. So I can understand a non-jumping spouse or SO being bored. But I to try to include her in this sport, which can be very taxing on a relationship. I try not to "pressure" her into coming to the DZ. and I leave it at that. Like our club Christmas party, she doesn't want to go, because she doesn't enjoy the company of skydivers, so I am not going to drag her somewhere she isn't going to have a good time. By the way- Judging by your screen name you're married to a skydiver - Could you share with us where you're from and perhaps whom you're married to?

    The Dreaded 3%

Our DZ doesn't charge the extra 3% or whatever - Cash or credit, it's all the same here. Easy Does It
  18. Same thing I do with mine when I jump with my Pro Tec - 'cept I turn it the other way so the speaker hole thingy is toward my ear. I just stick it in the ear cavity and pull it on. Be carefull it doesn't fall out when you take it off, I just grab it and shove it in my pocket when I shuck the helmet. Easy Does It
  19. Nope- Never too cold - Just dress for success. Lots of info on that in these forums! Easy Does It
  20. Dude, take it from me, (I'm married to the worlds' #1 Ground-Hugging-Whuffo. ) She absolutely REFUSES to do a tandem or even an observer ride and it has become a major issue between us. She does know I have no intention of quitting, and my daughter (From Marriage #1) packs on weekends and will start AFF in the spring. You may be in a tough spot, or it may not be as bad as you think- If she's willing to come hang at the DZ while you jump, that's a step in the right direction. (My lady has been to the DZ ONCE all summer.) Take it from there. - - "My wife says if I don't quit jumping, she's gonna leave me......DOOR!!!"
  21. .357 Mag, a couple shotguns, a rifle, just a few. Don't use 'em much, but I'll never sell 'em. Easy Does It
  22. lmao!... just flip it over..... What about if you jump a pull-out rig and wear a straight pin? And my daughter, who has about 100 pack jobs under her belt, and will be starting AFF this spring, (after an hour in the tunnel with myself and a bunch of my fellow 4-way freaks-) wears a closing pin necklace, even though she has yet to make a jump. She does know the people, the sport and the lifestyle. Anybody think she is "ineligible" to wear it? Edited to add - Yeah - it was proper in my book to turn down the order. It cheapens the meaning of the pin. Now, if you get all 60 of those folks to do a jump and then pack - - Easy Does It
  23. That was Bill Murray playing Hunter S, Thompson in Where the Buffalo Roam. Your signature line came from the same movie, the men's washroom scene with Richard Nixon and Hunter. Tricky Dicks' reply was "Fuck the doomed!". Easy Does It
  24. My $.02 - I went Static line - Our DZ offered both programs, I went with the SL program mainly for the lower per-jump cost and getting more jumps for the buck overall. I really can't say one is better, but a student does get more time with an instructor on the S/L, and I think will enjoy hop-n-pops more. Easy Does It
