tiramisu gelato is the ultimate, but i will settle for Sloan's Peanut Butter Chocolate, served appropriately with a flamingo and pinwheel in it.

21 works for me as well. it'll be my new rig's presecond trip to deland.

somehow we ended up with free drink vouchers at the C130 bar. one of my buddies got like 5 or them. I actually liked the ones from the other bar better, but free ones were nice as well!!!

won't be needing any rental gear. my new rig will be here sept 3 and i still have my old one as well... =c) looks like i may be forced into freeflying at skydive atlanta. the deal has been made- i freefly, no cameras allowed, i really look quite horrible freeflying. apparently the last time i was freeflying i was so unbearable awful someone felt the need to break my nose.....

you should become a rodriguez brother.

trouble is coming from Florida again. get ready.

I'm legally blind without my contacts in. I wouldn't know the peas from a lake. never had a problem in the air with them whether wearing a full face or normal goggles.

just got word from sunpath... my new baby tjn with shiny little rings will be delivered on or about 9/3/02. how psyched am i?????? i feel so badly selling the other rig. it really hasn't done anything wrong to me.... so sad. of course it has to go, it doesn't match the rest of my jumping ensemble.

wow... glad you told me, i wouldn't recognize you with short hair!!! congrats on the donation though, awesome idea!!!

oh dear, more people to see me flail around while trying to freefly. wonderful.

kinda on topic with this thread, this morning at our quarterly meeting my boss let me know that a group of us who play semiannually as a group (Called Passages) will be doing an original song called Reflections at a 9/11 Tribute on 9/11 at Roger Dean Stadium. I'm psyched!!!

hey some people have Ds that aren't fake. see you @ deland sometime!

my only hope of jumping would be on sunday and that woudl be pushing it. I consider myself lucky to get paid and reimbursed for 7 days of not working.

Hey- Work is sending me to Atlanta for a week for a conference and condensed grad course. Looks like I'll be flying in the day before the course (Sunday 10/27) in the late morning or early afternoon. Never been there, what's to see/do? I won't get to bring gear or jump, sadly.

mostly what i do is write in my spare time. i tend to write a lot of stream of consciousness style stuff, it's easy to set to music. my junior year of college i took a piece of prose i had written and set it to music for full SATB choir and orchestra, it was pretty modern, using a lot of 12 tone stuff but actually in the end had a tonal center... it was premiered at a concert that year on campus. not too bad.

i play acoustic guitar. mostly covers, but i have written a few original things which have not been shared with any of the public. writing stuff is a release for me. I've done a few CDs for families I work with, etc. my fender is with me most of hte time.

First of all, hiring 3 others is a different story. Situations arise when a team may need a player coach for good and totally acceptable reasons. hiring out a whole team for yourself, no I don't agree with that. We were a different issue. 2 people wanting to learn about 4way. We had no competition at that meet. circumstances were totally different there. Also a coach can not "drag" you around the sky. Look at the dive pools. Every person has a job to do. If one person is being "dragged around" the sky, it won't work (or at least not as well as if they were truly flying correctly). In random formations grips must be broken totally between moves. coaches can't cure level problems or the fact that person X can't turn as fast and on center as he/she can. Like stated above, only as fast as the slowest person. That's all I'll say about it.

hey but this time if i jump with andrea can we land in the normal area? no more swamp area, please.
-
yeah we also got the pleasure of kicking doug off the team in front of everyone, stating that he would simply, "ruin our handicap." we quickly asked him back though. any opportunity to jump with (or work with to any extent) a coach is not to be turned down. irreplaceable.

you mean one of those toy ones right? or a jet ski?
-
did you pick them off a reese's tree? usually i would buy them in the grocery store. we just can't grow those types of plants here in FL.

point proven: last season, MASL meet #2 @ Cross Keys. A friend and I who were totally new to 4way wanted to do the meet, intermediate. Doug Park was on the DZ that day as well as Greg Lund (formerly of Deguello). we had TWO ringers, our average ended up being 7. Coaches can't carry ya!!!

thank you.
