This question can be answered on many levels. I'll answer this, but also refer to to http://www.4way.org where they actually have descriptions of the slots there as well. In most instances, slots are in similar exit positions. Tail is outside the plane towards the rear. Outside Center is outside the plane towards teh front. Point is inside towards the front, and Inside center is inside towards the rear. This changes in Bslot jumps or mirrors, etc, but for all intensive purposes is a good guideline. Each slot also has different characteristics. Point spends a lto of a dive facing outwards, due to the nature of hte dive pools. Also has a few solo flying parts in the block moves. Tail usually is the "chaser" being on the back of a formation. Inside Center is often called hte quarterback. giving exit counts in most casesand controlling a lot of the keys in a draw. IC has a lot of keys due to a central position in formations, he/she can usually see most of the grips. Outside Center gets a lot of the snappy 180s, etc, but handles keys frequently as well. Another important thing to think about in slots is piece partners. Tail and IC usually work together on block moves, and Pt and OC work together as well. Hope this helps!

actually the temps in eloy are colder at night than here. I"m palm beach right now. It's warm here. I think it will be cool to get out to the desert though. never been there, can't wait.

I've been looking for a necklace that I can wear to work. I can't get away with a hemp necklace at work or somethign along those lines, due to our dress policy. At WFFC however I found this gorgeous gold closing pin on a gold chain that has a sweet 4 pt diamond in it. Everyone notices the diamond now and asks about it.

I used to work manifest and do webmastering for my old DZ. I got paid an hourly rate for manifest, but it was put on my jump account, as we worked on a debit like system. For web stuff I just invoiced weekly or biweekly, depending on the amt of stuff htat needed done.

hey betsy- I actually booked my flight to Eloy yesterday. I fly in early on the 30th of december and I'm there until late the 2nd of Jan. Buncha people from Sky's the Limit and Jersey Shore coming down, most of my WFFC crew. Tehy've told me New Years at Eloy is phenominal, so I"m gonna check it out with them. See ya then!!!

the big way outta the herc was incredible. last diver into it, most amazing jump i've ever been on. too bad there were afew out. how many people can say they did a 50+ way outta ONE plane? rock on.

what free of charge? i just went up to the tent and said i wanted to be a bro, they were doing an initiation dive then, popped me in it. azul and dos XX were on there. hence my dual initiation that night which was TOTALLY uncalled for.

16 jumps @ rantoul. 2 chopper jumps, BIG WAY outta the C130 as a last diver- INCREDIBLE, diving, watching hte whole thing build, then popping in. ROCK ON! Soem awesome 20-30 way sequentials with Concepts Unlimited too. Almost breaking my nose (may have it xrayed this week as it's bruising up bad now) was a downer. Became a member of the Rodriguez Brothers (Bumpy Brothers)- Libido Rodriguez. Good time.

"Why Are We Waiting" is used as a hashing song if I remember correctly, pretty much with those words. There is a rugby song that uses why are we aiting as well, with the intermixed Shoot the Boot- Shooting the Boot is a rugby tradition involving footwear, alcohol and often genitalia if I remember correctly. =c)

I did also read that majik stated they were having a slow beginning. Can't wait to see the scores when they are up to whatever speed they call normal!!!

I did some climbing @ Go Vertical in Philly. That gym has a sister location in stamford CT (exit 8 off of 95). great facility/staff, etc. they offer regular belaying classes, etc etc. Check out the web site @ http://www.govertical.com
