i haven't got tied with them, but at rantoul a guy in our group woke up extra early and zip tied all our tents shut (through all the zippers). THAT wasn't very funny....

I have not had a cypres (besides my student jumps and rental gear jumps of course) for 2.5 years. Similar to others, I started jumping as a college student and buying gear cost me enough, a cypres was just not financially possible. I've done over 550 jumps without one. However, getting kicked in the face in rantoul made me start shopping around. I've also started to do some bigger ways (80 hopefully in december) and it's a nice extra thing to have along... I now have a steady job, etc so I can afford it (kind of). It will be installed the week before big ways in december.

eeeewwww that pizza/sub place in the shopping center... that place is scary. the chinese place is gooood though. excellent shrimp toast. i had leftover pizza. not feeling too well and no energy to cook, kinda loopy from meds, so the microwave seemed like a safe bet.

that is too funny. i guess i had too much tequila, i didn't even notice the plastic was sstill on and that was why it wasn't working for the tattooers!

under canopy? i open with hands on my rear risers, look around, collapse my slider (since I can reach it now with shorter risers!!!!), find the DZ, try to get closer to it i needs be then play until about 800 when i'll start a downwind leg. i usually laugh when i flare, which is why i often land on my feet then fall over. i don't know why, i just laugh.

15 minutes more in the tunnel doing 3 and 4 ways:5:1 5 jumps on my new baby, and i love it! i forget i'm wearing it it's so comfortable. beer obviously for the rig. teh dz cleared out towards 3 PM due to a wedding, so i'm bringing the beer next week when people are around.

i did crack one of our JMs at cross keys in the head with a fencing sabre one night. i was fencing in college, had my stuff in the car. the guy thought i couldn't hit a target moving or still in teh shape i wa sin, we were all having bouts with full faces on. needless to say he didn't wear one. THWACK! i earned my athletic scholarship that night!!!

i had my own gloves/alti/open helmet by my last AFF jump. i used dz gear until about jump 50 ( i worked there so had some pretty good perks), when i got a used rig/reserve/main. bought a used suit too, knowing that i was learning to fly a canopy and would be changing canopies a lot. didn't want to ruin a 300$ suit right off the bat! of course (unfortunately) in this sport there are always "new toys-" after that came a custom suit, freefly pants. then i downsized mains, then a full face helmet. an audible, competition suit, gear bags, helmet bags, downsized main again, new rig, and i just bought a new cypres today. then there are boogies to go to.... i remember when my JM said "ah, once you get your own gear it gets cheaper." that makes me laugh every time i pay a CC bill at the end of the month!!!

that other guy i jumped with was sober, supposedly.... and you saw me! i believe the exact word used to describe my face was "hamburger." back to the full face.

that pic is only 3 months old, same haircut i had at rantoul as well. taken care of a little better in that pic, but well, not much you can do in a trailer shower and no mirror!

the fiasco which had me on the table for an extended time, multiple shots, a corona emptied on me and little chili pepper tattoos all over. THAT fiasco.

i learned this in colege, it was alittle more detailed. there was a path, and forest, one tree stands out which symbolizes knowledge. it's relation to the path defines how you perceive intelligence in relation to day to day life. path splits, if you follow your dominant side you follow gut instincts, vice versa. stone is spirituality, cup and saucer symbolize relationships (examine position and relativity to each other as well as aesthetics). there was a lake in the one i learned as well which represents sex, your actions towards the lake, it's description. then the wall. basically the same. mine was hysterical, btu quasi accurate. highlights were instead of a cup and saucer i had the mad hatters whole damn tea party. what a way to visualize relationships! the lake i had a jungle, and i was swinging on vines jumping in. knowledge was suprisingly dominant and had branches overhanging into the path like an arbor. i'm a therapist, i do this stuff quite frequently with patients.

HA! placed is a good word. i dunno, it was a younger guy. he wasn't at the initiation. i'm glad i didn't remember his name, i had no idea that every parent name you wrote down was another shot. I got it bad! 2 shots, someone dumped a corona on me and there were chili pepper tattoos all over me the next morning. ugh!!! i earned my #!!!!

hey cajones was one of my fathers! i had a few though. azul , dosXX, cajones, there was another guy who sadly i can't remember his name, he was short and had a long ponytail, he gave me my name actually... ah well. casadora was doign a lot of initiation the night i was there. that was the same night she won teh wet t shrit contest i believe....
