oh how I miss Rantoul. seriously I listen to that version of somewhere over the rainbow/wonderful world almost religiously every morning now. it makes me smimle when i wake up, until i realize that i'm NOT in a tent, sadly i'm back in my apartment ready for another day of the stoopid overrated real world. BOOOO! usually in the morning i'll have a triple espresso with a little almond or vanilla syrup in it, a nice warm shower and i'm awake enough to at least pretend i'm paying attention in morning report. bleck.

i was working the night before at a help desk on campus, my shift ended at midnight. as i was closing the lab up 2 friends came and "kidnapped me" and took me to dave and busters in philly where they proceeded to get me absolutely wasted. i worked in manifest at cross keys the next day (on my actual BDay)- the DZO had gotten a skybox that evening at the phillies game, completely stocked with beer. Besides a minor incident with throwing paper airplanes onto the field (damn monkeys!), no major problems. i faintly remember a friend making snakebites, and then there was some large scale party at a fellow jumpers house the next evening. 3 days and nights of drunken debauchery.

are you talking abotu that ditch that rund between teh narrow road and where people park cars/RVs? near the showers? i fell in that a few times in zhills. that bastard just sneaks right up on ya.

friday went canoing on the loxahatchee river and went to a 2 hour meditation/yoga class. saturday spent the day shopping. bought new living room tables and a new desk as well as some other things like shelves, pillows, etc. spent the day and wee hours of morning putting together furniture and rearranging. sunday was a continuaton of this. next weekend i will jump.

all i could remember was the JM telling me that most people flare too early on a first jump. i didn't want to be "droped out of the sky" because of an early flare. teh ground was coming, i kept smiling, thinking taht i wasn't going to be that idiot flaring at 25 feet. i ended up being the idiot that flared at 2 feet. oops. all you see is my PD 230 or so fly in behind some tall grass, i obviously got dirty, but then i stand up laughing hysterically. yes i have video of this.

that's why i just funnel them at a higher altitude. it's fun to watch.

you missed my nose getting broken. coming to sebastian again this winter????

Fruce is awesome. I have nothing on my suit, but I do have some on my gear bag... a skyventure patch, sunpath products patch and i have an alti-2 logo one waiting to get sewn on. i used to have a helmet covered entirely in stickers. gave ti to kelly, it was her first piece of gear.

4 new pieces of furniture:0:0 not allowed to jump right now (next week!!!!) so instead i spent way too much $ on new furniture.new desk, chair, and living room tables. it's cheaper to skydive.

i dunno about anything special per se, i'm gonna be at cross keys that saturday, the 12th. i always try to make things *special* when i'm around.

this guy was GOOD. he got the vestibules, windows, doors, everything. and of course rode off into the sunset and left the convention before any of us woke up.

BUT at sebastian we have: outdoor tiki bar in a sand pit with NO roof, tables made out of surfboards, grills, etc and jump run over the ocean. i'm sure you can get west nile here too if you want, those skeeters out in loxahatchee carry it i think. we have british instructors. that's better than spanish because it's still a cool accent AND i can understand it. and of course i hang out at sebastian.

I claim # 69! i got a crappy apartment and even still have the same sneakers from 4 years ago. i mean, if you lose a shoe in teh air, who wants to lose new ones, right???
