  1. I seriously doubt that a Congressional committee being allowed to read some documents about a program run by the ATF is going to put the US's security at any risk. This is simple covering up for a screw up.
  2. That's why I said to implement Canada's program... They do not seem to have the issues you are bitching about. But I am glad to see that you recognize that the ability to buy a gun is hampered by more red tape than the ability to vote. What I don't get is why you are fine with stepping on civil rights on one issue and upset about it in another.
  3. See, you proved my point with your own ranting. Funny. Close to 50% do not pay federal taxes.... Hence it is 'free' to them and they know that. To think they are not smart enough to know that is you thinking all Americans are stupid. You mean like THIS VERY POST where you said: "the sooner that all the gun nuts will start killing each other off. THen we might get some common sense laws about it." Hate to break it to you, the 2nd does not say anything close to what you want. Yet you oppose ANY attempt to keep such a record? Or to make sure that record is correct? Citizenship is what this purge is/was about. I don't need *another* reason when no other reason is the focus of the purge, this thread, or my concern.
  4. Then so should have the first two years of Obama. How did the economy do under Carter? How is the economy doing under Obama? I know you will want to blame these things on Bush.... But the facts do not support you.
  5. This. The thought of Romney as a 'conservative' makes me laugh. Yet people who only listen to his last few years of the crap that comes out of his mouth all think he is. People that have paid attention to his history shows he is not.
  6. Not ignoring it. But there is a difference between going after a 'terrorist' and a drug runner. And there is a difference between the mountains of some Country filled with people that hate the US and some guys trying to make money off of US demand. I do think we should have drones flying over our Southern border... Just not armed drones.
  7. Is the best you can do personal insults.... Cause that seems to be the case. I do understand that you do not want to own up to your mistakes and claim a "rounding error" instead of admitting you just were wrong. 25% is enough to not want to/want to invest in something. Instead of trying to play this silly little game, maybe you should focus on the point? They call that a strawman argument. Still if little personal jabs is the best you can do (and it looks like it is)... I see no point in trying to have a debate with you.
  8. A great question.... The answer for me lies in the fact that it would basically be an invasion of a sovereign country. If that country granted permission it would change my answer.
  9. To quote you... "call it a rounding error"
  10. And you should stay out of gun threads since you have shown not to have the slightest clue about firearms or the 2nd amendment.
  11. Or you just talked out of your ass the first time.
  12. Great lets do that.... We will start by making ID being required to vote like it is to buy a gun. Next, we will make it so to vote you have to go fill out a form and have a background check done on you each and every time you vote. Next, any violent crime or even misdemeanor for violence will automatically remove your right to vote like it does for owing a gun. Any history of alcohol or drug abuse will remove your right to vote. Just using pot will remove your right to vote. That REALLY what you want?
  13. I feel the same way about almost all of yours. Yet you tried to claim these were 'typical gun owners'???? I have already shown how your position is total bull shit. Being from Australia they can't own those weapons at home, and it is not legal for them to own them in the US either. So your position is total crap. Perfectly fine... they are in a gun store. Every gun store I have ever been to in the US the weapons are not loaded.... And I'll bet that I have been in more gun stores than you and defiantly more gun stores in the US than you. Face it, your are full of crap and I called you on it.
  14. You are on record as saying you are fine with background checks. You are on record for supporting an ID to buy a gun. People for public HC have made claims that it is and should be 'free'... A quick google will provide you pages of examples. When a person adds (?) it means it is a question. So when I write "Canada is 'right-wing'????" It is a question, not a statement. No, you either forgot you said something or are being a weasel and trying to deny you said it. Also, you seem to have forgotten what a question mark is. Then asking to see Id JUST LIKE CANADA will not disenfranchise voters. I asked a simple question.... "Does Canada disenfranchise voters by asking for ID?" The answer is NO. Therefore a program like that in the US would also not disenfranchise voters. People don't vote to have a say in who runs the govt in both places? That must be a REALLY strange system in Canada. You are free to use Canada as an example if you wish, others do it all the time.... Like you have tried to compare Canada's HC system to the US. Why is it ONLY OK for Canada to be used as an example when YOU want it to be used? Your concern for the US Constitution is touching... too bad you ignore the 2nd. Is this another example of data is only important and examples can only be used when YOU want? Yet you are fine with REQUIRING him to *register to vote*? I didn't read anything about registration in the Constitution... Maybe you can direct me to that since you seem to know it so well? This just proves you never actually read anything I write.
  15. You are free to quit the insults whenever you like. It weakens your argument and makes you look desperate.
  16. Which is it? Nothing to do with it, or now just a little bit?
  17. What you have shown is the best you can do is insult. Because that is all you have done. You are free to quit the insults whenever you like.
  18. Wow, the fact that you could even think that. Fact is he was not arrested till Jessie Jackson and Al Sharpton rolled into town and started holding rallies. *I* am, but Jessie and Al were talking about a white guy and a black kid. And yet they didn't get upset till Jessie and Al started holding meetings. Your argument just fell flat. 1. Because the truth has come out that Treyvon was not the innocent kid that was claimed. 2. Because Zimmerman having been a big brother to more than one black kid and having a 'black' grandfather is not as racist as was originally claimed. 3. Because he has been arrested. Add them all up and there is not much left to stir up race issues.
  19. Yes, people who are forbidden to posses something in their own country are acting in a way that you disapprove of in a place where they can hold something they know nothing about. 1. They are acting silly, but you don't know if they are being dangerous since you have no idea what precautions have been taken... Of course, that didn't stop you from making a comment. 2. They are AUSTRALIANS. So claiming they are "an average gun owner" is pure crap.... They are not allowed to own a gun in Australia and unless they are residents they can't own one in the US either. So, the facts do not fit with your comments.
  20. We are talking about voter ID and I am using Canada as an example... A lot like you use Canada as an example for Govt HC. What, only you are allowed to use an example? Never said either. I have always said that HC is not free, people on YOUR side have not agreed that it has to be paid for. And if you are not willing to pay for it... then it is free to you. But that is all just a lame attempt to misdirect from the question I asked... Where is all the voter disenfranchisement in Canada? Ha, you are the one that has assumed time after time that I am religious and walk with the "righties". I debate your WORDS and POSITIONS. I am trying... That is why I asked you about voter disenfranchisement in Canada.... Which you, thus far, have ignored. So you are OK with not 'wasting' money to stop illegal votes. And AGAIN, Canada seems to not have this issue. Canada is 'right-wing'???? Cause they have this. And asking for ID is not 'big government'. It is asking for a voter to prove who they are.... Again, you have to have an ID to buy a gun and you seem to be fine with that. Yet you support the ATF and ID and background checks for buying a gun.
  21. I don't see gun ownership as a 'problem'. We have a problem of criminals doing illegal acts with illegal items. Again, show me a plan that removes the criminals from having guns but that does not hinder law abiding citizens in any way and I'll gladly discuss it.
  22. It was a joke.... You claimed, "If it is not too much to ask, I would appreciate religion remain neutral within government, given that government needs to represent everyone. If the right would concede that, I might even be willing to concede voter ID requirements." And you also always try to blanket label me as a "righty"..... So I called your 'bluff' to highlight that I am not what you think I am, and to poke fun at you on another issue.
  23. Not according to one side of the story. He could have been attacked by people at the party for being a nosy wet blanket and asking them politely to keep the noise down. According to his side of the story he did just that and they attacked him for it. Or the guys that attacked him for asking that they keep it down are. Two sides to every story.
  24. The bank thought just like you that the house value would continue to rise. They are also in business to make money. What you are skipping is YOUR part in your failure. YOU decided something was worth what you paid. People who are forced to loan money because of the Community Reinvestment Act. Ah yes, blame others for you own failure
