    My take on this one.... This guy did his first static line training today. Of course, the winds picked up so he didn't get to jump. He is so stoked, he just had to practice what he learned today.     In my case, I've landed in every field on the county. We have huge wide open spaces here. Doing CRW, you sometimes land off. (in my case, more often than not). Off DZ landings do not scare me. I just try to remember my rule of thum. Pick out a field to land in by 2,000 and set up your approach by 1,000. Know the area, and know the obsticales.     Wow! That is a bit scary. I did a jump shortly after a tornado came thru... that didn't go so well. Squirrelly winds can be dangerous. This video did not show the landing. How did it turn out?? Birdshit & Fools Productions "Son, only two things fall from the sky."

    The beauty of this sport is... There is always something to learn. Take it one step at a time and don't be in too big a hurry. Talk to your instructor, they'll tell you where to start.     IMHO and as I see it; Then... We used to waite around for the Cessna to land. We got in about 3-4 jumps a day (buck a thousand). It took 45 minutes to altitude. We played alot of cards, hacky, and volleyball. We did a lot of 2, 3, and 4 ways. Today... We get in about 5-6 jumps a day. We wait around for tandems while we play cards, hackey, or volleyball. It takes 15 minutes to altitude. We do a lot of 8, 12, and 16 ways. It's more expensive but what isn't. Bottom line ------Stop bitchin and get in the airplane!!     That might be, but just imagine the talent it took to fly those jumpsuites.... Three of those guys flew "Balloon Suites". It was like docking on the Pillsbury Doe Boy.
