It's a Boogie held in beautiful, downtown Fort Dodge, IA where the sun never shines because the sky is to tight. It's a skydiving event of mythic proportions because of the 24/7 beer truck, the co-ed showers, all night Human-Keg Bowling, and other events which need to be experienced. See you all there... Absolutely, Chuck is correct!! Observers should never, under any circumstances, be allowed in or near jump planes during or near jump operations. And, skydivers should never be allowed to exit aircraft while in flight! For sure, nobody should ever be allowed to operate, on public highways, any vehicle with less than 4 wheels. ……….NOT! Sarcasm aside, we need to be careful when we “ban” an activity because it may be dangerous. Instead, we should work together to develop a system/procedure that minimizes the dangers and allows participation to all. At my home DZ, observers are welcomed, instructed, and closely supervised. They’re considered “students” and dealt with as such. At the end of their ride, they become another “positive ambassador” of our sport. For years, telling the wonderful story of their “no shit, there I was” moment. Instead of banning observation rides altogether, try putting a positive spin on it. An observation ride, to some, is as close as they’ll ever get to a sky dive. To others, it may be the stepping stone to a long skydiving career. I've broken my left ankle, right ankle (twice) left fibula, right pelvis, left shoulder, my back in three places. right toe, and still no metal.

Just an update... Saturday morning, they completed a 25 way diamond to set a new record. Then, just to allow others in on the record, they completed another 25 way diamond using the few jumpers not on the first attempt. Crew dogs are the greatest! I've been in wraps, but, have never experienced an entanglement?? Shit happens quickley! My best advice is to keep cool, communicate with everyone involved as best you can, identify the situation and deal with it. Next time a CReW camp comes to your home DZ, you might want to sit in on the classroom portion at least. Seems to me that CReW training is where we teach this stuff. O.K. I've been playing around with this new G10 for a couple weeks now. And, I love it! Small and easy to use. Fits my helmet setup perfectly. Great photo quality (now that I've figured it out). On a recent dive, I was able to take 22 good shots of an RW team from exit to break off. Which, is good enough for what I'm using it for. Frame rate is a bit slow, but workable. I believe the newer designs are a wash. One more example of why your paying so much for todays well trained (hopefully) auto mechs. These guys need to have knowlege and skills!!
