  1. , So, who let him demo a canopy out of his experience range? Birdshit & Fools Productions "Son, only two things fall from the sky."
  2. Yep. It's listening that you suck at.
  3. Jump 151 at sunset... http://youtu.be/tQpsOvDof0M Birdshit & Fools Productions "Son, only two things fall from the sky."
  4. When you get some real saddle time Skippy, you'll figure out Dave's just trying to stop ya from shopping for one of these. Or, one of these.... Birdshit & Fools Productions "Son, only two things fall from the sky."
  5. TOO I'll post video of his final jump later (as soon as I get it edited). Birdshit & Fools Productions "Son, only two things fall from the sky."
  6. Kevin completed 151 (one arm) skydives in one day by joining friends on an 8 way earlier this evenning. He did this to call attention to Parkinsons Disease and raise money to help those who suffer from it. Kevin is an inspiration to many and worked very hard to achieve this goal. Thanks Kevin for allowing us to help you raise awareness to this disease. He completed skydives about every 4.5 minutes. Kevin... you are indeed "the man". Joey... Go Away! Birdshit & Fools Productions "Son, only two things fall from the sky."
  7. That's $kydiving! Yup! Unfortunately, those big aluminum tin cans with the the turbine whirrlies are expensive to opperate.
  8. Dude! In your previous post, you claimed you sold your gear due to "financial problems". Now you say you sold your gear to downsize? Which is it? I'm not illeterate, but I can't read your mind. Clearly, the lies are getting hard for you to remember? @Joey.... I have no problem with someone jumping and "learning" a small canopy. I do think it's a better idea to jump and "learn" (your words) an appropriate sized canopy. You will stay safer and learn more. That does not make me a hater. IMHO as always.
  9. All this discussion aside, it's clear by the poll above that Boobies is the clear winner. Now that's what I call art!!! Birdshit & Fools Productions "Son, only two things fall from the sky."
  10. This plane is a Challenger II clipped wing. It was the first plane I owned and except for the two stroke engine, it was awesome. Lake off and land in about 300 feet, cruise about 85-90 mph. It was a two place so I could fly with my wife. And it was very light on the controls. I never really trusted the two stroke, so I sold it and bought a Citabria. There are days that I miss the little Challenger. Isn't the Breezy built from a Citabria wing? Birdshit & Fools Productions "Son, only two things fall from the sky."
  11. other expenses? So, talk is, apparently, not cheap. have temporarily sold my gear explain how that works? Do you get it back when you decide to "change your mind"? [winny voice] "I really didn't want to sell my gear... I'm taking it back now. Here's half your money" [/winny voice] spending my time winding you bunch of **** *** **** ****'s up instead It appears to most that others have been winding you up? So, if I've read your post correctly, all of this was just Bull Shit because you couldn't "afford" to run in the tall grass with the big dogs? Looks like I called it from the beginning... Friggen Troll!!!! Birdshit & Fools Productions "Son, only two things fall from the sky."

  13. Do you only do hop and pops with no one else in the air with you????????????? ... at a dropzone that doesn't have to clean up the mess you make in front of woofos and other paying customers, including young children? Birdshit & Fools Productions "Son, only two things fall from the sky."
  14. Great! Now all the "Wonders" are going to be trying to swoop their Velo's while pooring a pitcher of beer. Birdshit & Fools Productions "Son, only two things fall from the sky."
  15. First of all, FIFY. But, from what I've seen in this thread, the best guidance this DZO, you or I can give would be a swift, firm unanounced kick in the ass followed by an "Oh Hell No!" This jumper has already demonstrated his inability to listen. What good is coaching going to do when the student demonstrates the "knows better" attitude? I do get what your trying to say and I appreciate your efforts to educate Up-n-Coming students. However, one of the first lessons a student has to learn is the meaning of the word NO! Good on you for trying to keep this knucklehead alive long eonogh to figure it out on his own. The problem is, he'll read your post and interpret it to say that "he is good on the Velo". As always, IMHO
  16. I just bought a canopy thru DZ.com using my rigger as an escrow agent. The seller and I agreed on a price based on his description of the canopy's condition. When the canopy arrived, the condition was not near as good as it had been described. My rigger pointed out several problems (all fixable) that would affect the actual value of the canopy. I contacted the seller and we came to an agreement as to the actual value of the canopy. Done Deal!! Escrow is the way to go. It benifits everyone and is only a disadvantage to someone trying to cheat another. ... and, Thanks Mark! Birdshit & Fools Productions "Son, only two things fall from the sky."
  17. I have not visited Midwest yet, but, they're on my "to do" list. I will say that one of my favorite DZ's to visit includes Sky Knights. Great People, great location, great DZ. There are other DZ's in Wisconsin as well. visit a few and make your own decision.
  18. If that coach wont work with you find another and Id say BETTER coach. IF you vare staying on a canopy that many think is inappropriate it is in EVERYONES interest to make sure you are properly trained on it. Seriously dude find someone who WILL help you out on the finer points. WOW?? I'd be interested in hearing the canopy coaches take on this?? My guess is, we haven't heard the whole story here. But, let me take a wild guess.... Could it be, the Coach wanted you to get coaching on a more appropriate canopy before you killed yourself on a canopy you have no business flying? I've got $20 at 10:1 that says I'm right... any takers????
  19. Enforcement of what? Pretty much any rules, be it cloud clearance, gopros or sensible canopy choices. There are no "rules" on GoPro's or canopy choice. That's why I asked. You call for coherent enforcement when there are no rule to enforce. I tend to agree with Remster on the lack of rules issue. What are DZO's suppose to enforce? However, as I travel from DZ to DZ (US), I've always been drilled about canopy size/experience/currency/etc. when first arriving at a drop zone. It doesn't seem to take them long to figure out just how totally incompetent I really am???
  20. Miconar hit the nail on the head. This can be a very expensive sport and I'm not talking about money. Base jumping is even more demanding. But those who do it seem to enjoy the challenge and will tell you it's all worth it. If you're serious about this, I always recommend some Gymnastics experience. Find a local gymnastics club and see if they have an open gym nite. Any good Gymnast can teach you simple tumbling and body awareness. Most are happy to work with you. Trampoline's, with a qualified instructor, are great learning tools. As you develope your skydiving skills, you'll be getting into shape and developing your gym skills. Both will pay big dividends in base jumping. Hope we haven't scared you away, but if we have, it's probly for the best. Good Luck! Birdshit & Fools Productions "Son, only two things fall from the sky."
  21. Finally, something we can agree on! Birdshit & Fools Productions "Son, only two things fall from the sky."
  22. Why would you want to do that? I didn't say anything bad about Sky Knights. Hold on... the popcorn isn't popped yet. Give me a couple seconds to get a good seat..... OK. Birdshit & Fools Productions "Son, only two things fall from the sky."
  23. Just curious, have you contacted the customer service dept. at Wings?
  24. Joey - lets see if I can put this in perpective for you... First, see Dave's post above! then... I've been in this sport since the late 1970's. Before that, I was a champion diver and National Champion Gymnast. So, in my own way, I have mad skillz. I'd love to post accurate jump numbers here, but quite frankly, I've stopped logging years ago. So, I just put down 1500. Compared to your 37 jumps and time in sport, I'm a fricking skygod!!! However, compared to 3/4 of the posters on this site, I'm a Newb! Most of the poeple here, who are telling you to shut the fuck up and listen, have more jumps/experience/knolege/skill than I could ever dream of having. So, I hope this puts into perspective just how foolish your dribble sounds to them. These are the best of the best our sport has to offer. If you survive the season, it'll only take you another 30 years to be good enough to lick their boots! So, shut the fuck up and try to listen. I learn new stuff from these guys/gals every day. You could too. Birdshit & Fools Productions "Son, only two things fall from the sky."
  25. I learned on these as well. But, we were taught to check the B-12s in case the cover got bent and they didn't snap shut. Just because we were taught this doesn't mean we always succeded to do so. Kinda like being drilled to include chest straps in your gear checks???
