That's the funny thing about extreme gerrymandering. In order to get the best results you need to calculate each district to have enough reliable voters, but not to waste any by having more than you need. If the tide turns and you lose some of those who were reliable but they are mad at you, you can be wiped out. Fun times.

Nice, but 79.1 motor vehicles were built in 2021. Still if a million EVs were built every month now at the beginning of the change over I would think it won’t be long till they are the majority of production.

I get your meaning here. Since this is essentially an interstate matter I was considering the AG to be a local. But yes he would likely be a statewide elected official under the US system of mixing politics with law.

It's pretty clear to me that your consternation, and that of a few others here is merely an act. There is a group of people in here who get just as much entertainment from the interaction as he does. I've come to accept it even if I don't really understand it.

Legally the court did not make any error. Morally, it's a different matter. Rittenhouse could have and should have avoided the conflict that led to him do those killings. And he had no need to carry that weapon which led directly to the conflict.

Someone was saying in another thread that the 10 year old Ohio girl pregnant from being abused and raped should have had a "D&C" at home provided by a local doc who he assumes would have ignored the law and pretended it was something other than an abortion. The story linked makes it clear that an Indiana doctor provided a medical abortion. Inducted by a pill instead of a difficult medical procedure that involves having the girl spread her legs and be further invaded and traumatized. Then that doctor was and is still being harassed and threatened by the local official. Who are working hard to ensure that pregnant 10 year olds no longer are able to avoid being forced by the government to give birth. That old saw about criminals not obeying the law is among the weakest of all arguments against gun control. They will mostly obey the law just like they obey most laws now. Criminals pick and choose what laws to obey based on what they think they can gain.
