  1. Christianity is a dogma based on a big lie. Does that mean Christians are liars?
  2. Luckily for the GOP the child's rapist is an undocumented immigrant. You know, Mexico is not sending their best people.
  3. Yes, that is absolutely true. Trump is also too old for the job, and proven incompetent in other ways as well. Biden shows clear signs of his age catching up with him. Jobs requiring mental acuity often have mandatory retirement ages. Commercial pilots at 60 or 65. Biden will be 82 years old in 2022 and even further along the path of decline. POTUS is a high stress and very important job. He would be fine as a Senator, they don't get woken in the middle of the night to deal with a crisis. As Hilary pointed out with Trump.
  4. Yes, there is a world wide shift away from fossil fuels of all kinds and toward renewables. Major investment firms are meeting the market demand from investors to avoid the sector. All this makes investment in refineries and oil production a more risky proposition than it has been in the past. And this will act to reduce the supply and therefore temporarily increase the price and the profit of the product. In turn this will act in the same way carbon taxes do. It will encourage investment in alternatives like EVs and a host of new sources of energy supply. This is how the long slow process of reducing the carbon load in the atmosphere will begin. Probably too late to avoid significant sea level rise, but we don't really know. Get used to it. It is the way of the future. Even a Trump or a Trump like figure railing away and spouting off like an angry SC commenter will not be able to change this. The smart money is moving toward the future and away from the past.
  5. The petroleum industry is international and highly integrated. Whether or not there is a shortage or a surplus of crude production is the US is not all that relevant. There is a shortage of supply in the world right now. Mostly due to the sanctions on Russia. If those sanctions were truly effective the price would be a lot higher than it is now. That is how supply and demand come into balance. We end up paying more to fuel our Caravans and Otters, people in third world countries just go without.
  6. Hopefully Trump is not the agent of change that ends The Great Experiment. Somehow I doubt it.
  7. Trump seems to be somewhat vigorous for a man his age. Biden seems pretty week and feeble. It is not a good look. Fairness has little to do with it.
  8. Will birth certificates and registrations be replaced by conception certificates? It is my belief that any woman who has a positive pregnancy test should immediately register the zygote or embryo as the case may be.
  9. Back to the original post. Gouge away. Take as much as you can from the skydivers and blame it on Biden.
  10. It’s not that Californians love Democrats. It’s that they really dislike Republicans.
  11. Yea, I get that. But without the speculators I'm not sure how the "banking system" behind crypto makes money. But then again I have yet to research and understand this PoS you speak of. I'm going trucking for a few days now, back to the real world, but I'll get on it when I have a chance.
  12. "Cyber currencies" are supposed to be just that, currencies. Currencies are not investment vehicles, but they can be used for speculation. People are thinking of these as investments. So many are doing so people that emotions are the only thing driving the price. There is no underlying value.
  13. True. But if he expects to be re-elected he will need to inspire voters. Last time around Trump inspired them. If Joe and Donald are the nominees again Trump will win. Easily.
  14. Sri Lankan protesters are swimming in the pool of the presidential residence. You can smell their shit hitting the fan from the mansion next door.
  15. He is POTUS, but he is not providing any leadership. Leadership is a huge part of the job. He inspires no one. He is obviously not up to the job at this stage in his life. His only accomplishment, beating Trump, was important but not enough.
  16. Yup, and the lawyering up is done for now. I wonder how high the fees will get. At least a hundred million I bet. https://ca.finance.yahoo.com/news/twitter-just-hired-big-name-201844974.html
  17. I’m sure the leaders will keep a good stock of Kool-Ade on hand just in case.
  18. And it looks like Musk is making it official. He is bailing. https://www.cbc.ca/news/business/elon-musk-seeks-end-twitter-deal-1.6515431
  19. You also have been predicting the second coming of the Lord. I'm not sure which is less likely.

Most nations do this in times of war. Look up the sedition act of 1918 for a US example. Controlling and limiting opposition is often seen as a patriotic duty. I would be willing to bet that most Russians support that law.

    BoJo out

I would expect nothing else of any political party, especially one in power. It is for the same reason that churches have protecting child abusing clerics. Power and prestige come from posistion and membership and must be kept intact at all costs. Only when the price of holding on exceeds the benefits will people like Trump and Johnson be sacrificed.
  22. There just isn’t enough context in your question to say. And it’s unlikely you could give it if you tried. Most likely the behaviour is something that didn’t just happen randomly. Everyone is different and every child is different.
  23. Changing the wifi password and threatening to withhold it should suffice in most cases.
  24. The only place for spanking is in the bedroom or dungeon between consenting adults.
  25. Poor quality elastic is the problem here. I made keepers once from what I thought was good 1" elastic. They all stretched out like that in a couple months.
