I don't think H Ingram was Cooper. I do think the money find is suspicious. It just smells staged somehow. We never have resolved whether there was a debris field of bill fragments along a high water line. The money find puzzles me. Next may be a parachute rig find. It is possible that neither will yield any evidence IDing Cooper. No wonder Ckret never owned up to taking the case as a real assignment. It was always a sideline, quasi hobby etc. Career self defense. If you bet your career on solving this case you could kiss your career bye bye. 377 2018 marks half a century as a skydiver. Actually Art wants me on the show live. Negotiations broke down over the type of "limo" he was going to send for me. He went from Lincoln Town Car to Black Helicopter. I told him nothing short of a 300 MPG vapor carbureted super car (all but one were seized and melted down by Big Oil goons) would do. Rush Limbaugh owns it. He bought it from Jay Leno who bought it from Neill Young. Art and I got sidetracked talking about ham radio. He has a fondness for radios made in Cedar Rapids. Georger knows all about em. 377 377 2018 marks half a century as a skydiver. Trained by the late Perry Stevens D-51 in 1968.

I remember reading about the FBI's infiltration of AIM. Brown contacts as a disguise may not be such a wild leap of faith. Wonder if it was a commonly used CIA or FBI disguise trick? I wonder if Braden had a NORJACK alibi? The Mayfield H relationship and the apparent lack of thoroughness in Ted M's alibi investigation needs further scrutiny. I still think Braden makes a great Cooper but for the eyes. Galen Cook is awfully quiet... Tom K too. I bet Ckret still reads this forum though he can no longer post. We know Guru still reads it now and then. Jo, I really think you were mistaken about the inmate smoke jumper photo and caption. I have searched diligently (my diligent search is like Snowmman operating at 25% power). I can find nothing to corroborate what you claim to have seen. 377 2018 marks half a century as a skydiver. Remember Rod Serling's T Zone episode with the GREMLIN prying open the airliner engine nacelle? What if Cooper didnt exit, he just crawled up the fuselage and hid in the intake to the number two engine? What if Mayfield was Cooper but somehow convinced the FBI to rule him out? What if Georger and Snowmman became friends? Pick one of the above as the most likely. 377 2018 marks half a century as a skydiver. Trained by the late Perry Stevens D-51 in 1968.

I am a longtime Ray Bradbury fan. I bought some DVDs of his weekly TV show: Ray Bradbury Presents. It had a few real gems but mostly bleh. He appears in the intro. Doesn't look much like the Cooper sketches. I too put some weight on the fact that Special Forces guys though Braden was Cooper. Of course they were guessing, but they saw what we see: money motive, perfect skill set, a good resemblence (minus the eye color) and the appropriate character or character flaws. Skydivers had DZOs Ted Mayfield and Bill Dause on their lists. Guru was probably on the FBI list for a while. Many jumpers were secretly disappointed that they were not suspects. 377 2018 marks half a century as a skydiver. Trained by the late Perry Stevens D-51 in 1968.

Utter nonsense Jo. All it takes is a few keystrokes. If all you have are "coincidences" then why did you say you had proof that Duane was Cooper? I can see you are trying to slither out of your commitment, but 377 isn't going to accept it. You apparently have a hard time just admitting your claim was grossly overstated. Why? We all screw up now and then. Just admit you didn't really have proof and move on. Otherwise I will continue to hold you to your offer of PROOF. 377 2018 marks half a century as a skydiver. Snow doesn't think he is "central" to this case. Why does he rile you up so much? You guys were actually getting along for a while. Shame that it can't endure. I know the colored contacts theory for Braden is a BIG HUGE reach, but the fact that Cooper wore no apparent disguise has always puzzled me. Colored contacts would explain that puzzle. So would plastic surgery and a host of other highly unlikely events... Can we stop calling each other liars? It accomplishes nothing and gets tempers heated up. Everybody brings something to the table, even Jo. If you disagree with someone, try avoiding personal insults. I have been pretty tough with Jo lately, but I haven't crossed the line into insulting her. The Cooper mystery is not impossible to solve. It is just tough. It is just as likely to be solved by chance as it is by determined investigation. There are just too few solid clues as to his ID. We start with too few facts and lots of assumptions. That's all we can do at this point. Maybe we will get lucky. Maybe Jerry will find something as unlikely as the odds make it seem. Many of the Japanese FUGA balloons that landed in the Pacific NW were found by hikers, picnickers etc. You just never know what might be waiting in the woods to be discovered later. Housing is spreading, maybe something will be found when thick brush is cleared for construction. I am an optimist. In my lifetime I think Amelia Earhart's plane will be found and DB Cooper will be identified. 377 2018 marks half a century as a skydiver. Trained by the late Perry Stevens D-51 in 1968.

Indeed I do. Jo picks her battles carefully. Right now Jerry is the enemy. Carr can breathe a sigh of relief. The rest of us are noise. Noise can be ignored. Can you see Jo directly and fully taking on Orange? Not a chance. 377 2018 marks half a century as a skydiver. Trained by the late Perry Stevens D-51 in 1968.

Thanks Bruce! Do you see Braden as a viable Cooper candidate? But for the eyes he makes a pretty good Cooper in my book. Is it possible he wore colored contacts? I have always wondered if Cooper's extended time in the lav had something to do with removing and concealing a disguise element that might have interfered with the jump. 377 2018 marks half a century as a skydiver. The above is from Snow's newest research team member. The guy really makes sense. The whole idea of CIA "slave analysts" is very perceptive and explains much of what goes on in Langley. Nice to see some quantitative analysis. Jo needs to start using numbers. We learned from the fake body count scandals in Nam that you really need to use random numbers in the suffix. The made up enemy body counts almost never ended in a zero which gave the scam away. I am at least 95% confident that Duane Weber never made a parachute jump anywhere. 377 2018 marks half a century as a skydiver. Trained by the late Perry Stevens D-51 in 1968.

The colored contacts possibility is actually quite interesting. It has always astounded me that Cooper wore no apparent disguise. If you could radically change your eye color you might not need one. The technology was readily available 1971. Maybe the puzzling lavatory disappearance was to remove and dispose of (or conceal in a pocket) his colored contacts. I dont wear contacts. Do you need a mirror to remove them? I recall reading something about tandem passengers being injured by leaving them in and having goggles come off. 377 2018 marks half a century as a skydiver. That's true for me, I'd starve. Others do some scouting, albeit mostly online. Snow found some very interesting candidates who were not self referred. Hi Brian, We cancelled Saturday's DSTAR HAHO, winds were 23 mph at 10 AM at Byron CA DZ and increasing. Will try next weekend. In late October KF6WRW and AF6IM will operate HF radios on a higher altitude jump using oxygen and following the tips above from LouDiamond. Want to join us on some radio HAHOs? It would be fun to talk to another jumper on DSTAR, even if one of us was on the ground. Coordinating simultaneous airborne comms with you in Canada would be tricky. I use my DSTAR handie talkie to chat with hams in Vancouver regularly from California. Are there DSTAR repeaters near your DZ? Mark 2018 marks half a century as a skydiver. Really? PROVE IT. Duane is a far worse fit than Gosset. Gosset was a trained military parachutist who possessed many of the skills needed for NORJACK. He had worked at Ft. Lewis. Duane as far as I can tell had ZERO parachute training or experience. You think he was an inmate smoke jumper, yet can produce no evidence other than a "disappeared" photo that contradicts all the well documented history of smoke jumper operations in the western US. To my eye, Duane is not nearly as good match to the FBI sketch as Gosset. Braden is a stunning match, but we have an witness eye color description that probably rules him out. Braden was a very clever guy, had a motive, was a criminal and had combat HALO experience that would be about the best prep for NOJACK that one could have. Why do you say "Weber is the only one who fits"? You must be tired of my confrontations Jo. Just put ALL your cards on the table, verified or unverified, and I will cut you some slack. Otherwise, expect to be reminded of your unfulfilled promises, frequently. 377 2018 marks half a century as a skydiver. Trained by the late Perry Stevens D-51 in 1968.

Jo, You know that if Duane possessed ANYTHING directly connected to NORJACK, stolen or not, it would be newsworthy and highly relevant. Yet you produce NO EVIDENCE, just incredible claims and irrelevant anecdotes. Your MO is predictable and it never varies. Teasing is an integral part of it. The quote I pasted above is an example of a Jo tease. It implies you have probative PHYSICAL EVIDENCE directly connected to NORJACK, but predictably you won't lay it on the table citing one of the lamest excuses you have offered to date: "the FBI will just say he stole it from someone else." You seem incapable of changing. I am a tolerant person, but you stretch my limits. Why not just publish your evidence in its current state and let others evaluate it? I think Orange knows why. I think I am coming around to Orange's way of thinking. 377 2018 marks half a century as a skydiver. Trained by the late Perry Stevens D-51 in 1968.

Jo, Have you forgotten? You claim to have proof that Duane was Cooper. Show it. Prove that Jerry is wrong. We are all waiting. Teases, dodges and excuses is all we have seen so far. Put your cards on the table. 377 2018 marks half a century as a skydiver. Trained by the late Perry Stevens D-51 in 1968.

Prove it Jo. Show us the evidence you claim to have. It is a simple request. Your credibility suffers greatly when you make a big claim, promise to reveal proof and then offer endless excuses why you can't do it. If you could actually prove Duane was Cooper then Jerry's tactics and confrontations shouldn't matter one bit to you. 377 2018 marks half a century as a skydiver. Orange, your legal instincts are 100% correct. The FBI owes no duty to Jo to prove Duane's innocence. Duane was never prosecuted for NORJACK. Nobody but Jo believes he was Cooper. If Jo chooses to spend the rest of her life pursuing a flawed theory that the FBI could easily debunk, they still owe no duty to so inform her. If Duane were being prosecuted for or serving time for a crime he didn't commit and the FBI withheld exculpatory evidence, that would be an entirely different story. Jo, your quality of life is under your control, not the FBI's. There are probably people that think they are Napoleon Bonaparte. They FBI could prove otherwise. They wisely don't choose to do so. Do you think these self confessed Napoleans have a good civil rights case against the FBI? The FBI's primary mission is law enforcement, not responding to demands to prove the innocence of persons who were never charged with the crime in question. Don't you see that Jo? Everybody else seems to. 377 2018 marks half a century as a skydiver. Trained by the late Perry Stevens D-51 in 1968.

We are all having that screen width problem Jo. I hope they fix it soon. OK, Jerry, what makes you claim Duane was with his family on Thanksgiving 1971? Jo, you take innocuous things like Duane avoiding his prior family as tending to prove he was Cooper. I think a more probable explanation is just irresponsibility, commonly exhibited by convicts I have worked with. They professed all sorts of love, but weren't real big on providing financial support or meaningful contact. 377 2018 marks half a century as a skydiver. I agree with Orange. Prove what you said you could prove Jo, before you start tasking others. You claimed to have evidence proving Duane Weber was Dan Cooper. You have hinted or claimed that Duane was an inmate smoke jumper, a CIA spook, held RFKs tie, helped hide MLK's assassination rifle, etc etc. Put Duane in a parachute. Show us a hot $20. So far it is all big claims and zero evidence. Don't you feel some hypocrisy in calling others "empty suits"? Why not just withdraw your claim of proof that Duane Weber was DB Cooper? Admit you grossly overstated your case? Be humble and ask for our indulgence? Crow doesnt taste so bad and you feel better after you have eaten it. I speak from experience. 377 2018 marks half a century as a skydiver. Trained by the late Perry Stevens D-51 in 1968.

Jo, I guess it isnt so easy or cheap. Looks like a decent title search and report going far enough back is about $200-300 per property http://www.realdetailed.com/title.html Your time and money is probably better spent elsewhere if you are trying to prove Duane Weber was Dan Cooper. But you said you already had the proof... so who cares about property titles and missing boat reports? 377 2018 marks half a century as a skydiver. Trained by the late Perry Stevens D-51 in 1968.
