  1. So how can I use this to my advantage at parties? 377 2018 marks half a century as a skydiver. Trained by the late Perry Stevens D-51 in 1968.
  2. Things are getting a LOT easier and cheaper. http://diydrones.com/profiles/blogs/ardupilot-main-page 377 2018 marks half a century as a skydiver. Trained by the late Perry Stevens D-51 in 1968.
  3. No worries. Airtwardo could AFF you right into the only clear spot in the Death Woods, at night, in gutter gear, in a raging storm. Airtwardo has a lot of experience doing things in tight places. 377 2018 marks half a century as a skydiver. Trained by the late Perry Stevens D-51 in 1968.
  4. There is no such thing as a tower problem. It is almost always a self esteem problem. Nothing that a 50KW linear amplifier wouldnt solve. They make those in Iowa, really good ones. G is trying to get his doctor to prescribe one so he can deduct the expense. 377 2018 marks half a century as a skydiver. Trained by the late Perry Stevens D-51 in 1968.
  5. Search and spy without warrants. Jump into the Death Woods with Amazon and Snow. Steal Kool Aid. 377 2018 marks half a century as a skydiver. Trained by the late Perry Stevens D-51 in 1968.
  6. Snow wrote: I agree. They really should use this assignment in a computer science class on search strategies. I bet Georger would find 2 of the photos, probably not 3 though. I have a higher opinion of Georger's intellect than you do. Georger, however, seems afraid of the test. I am hoping he is actually searching while ridiculing then will surprise us with his results. 377 2018 marks half a century as a skydiver. Trained by the late Perry Stevens D-51 in 1968.
  7. I think Georger could find two of the photos, but he is afraid to take the challenge. Instead of showing his search prowess, he derides me and Snow. It feeds Snow's ego, so I guess that's good. If I ran the FBI I'd do anything I could to draft Snow, but I'd have to assign at least four SAs to keep an eye on him. 377 2018 marks half a century as a skydiver. 8. The rate is great, but the S/N is just so so. Lots of noise from Iowa. I still like Georger even though he doesnt share the feelings. I consulted Notradamus and Madame Cleo. Both say the first post on page 666 is mine. Olga just emailed me. AEROFLOT flights from Leningrad to Perris Valley are still on "security hold", but if I send another $1000 by Western Union, she can arrange to have the hold lifted. Olga attached a picture, even racier then the last one. She says she can't wait to see me. Should I send the money or just wait for normal flight schedules to resume? What would Snow do? 377 2018 marks half a century as a skydiver. Trained by the late Perry Stevens D-51 in 1968.
  9. To hone your search skills Georger. I'm not kidding. It is a worthwhile exercise. Just do it. Tiger did. 377 2018 marks half a century as a skydiver. Trained by the late Perry Stevens D-51 in 1968.
  10. I found an email address for the pilot of the WFFC 727 jumpship. I dont wish to post it here but if anyone wants to talk 727 jumps with someone who flew jumpers in a 727, PM me. As I recall he flew 727 freighters for Amjet. 377 2018 marks half a century as a skydiver. Trained by the late Perry Stevens D-51 in 1968.
  11. Somewhere there is a video of jumpers exiting the WFFC 727 at Quincy, arching hard, and climbing ABOVE the altitude of the plane they just exited from as they slowed down to terminal velocity. Really. 377 2018 marks half a century as a skydiver. Trained by the late Perry Stevens D-51 in 1968.
  12. ...name...? Bill Dause, DZO at Lodi (Parachute Penter) was the initial top pick in Northern Cal among skydivers, but he doesnt look like the sketch so soon we had to select others. Bill is a commercial pilot and very skilled skydiver with zillions of jumps (now has about 26,000!!!). He reportedly got the attention of the IRS due to his ownership of far more assets than his reported income would account for. He had a P 51 Mustang, possibly even two of them for a while, plus many other valuable aircraft. Quite a few California jumpers thought Mayfield was Cooper and some still do. You had to have been there in the 71 jumping scene. We all thought Cooper HAD to be a skydiver. Few worried about the hijack giving skydiving a bad name. We kinda liked the outlaw image that skydiving had even though most jumpers were just working folks who didnt do crimes. Tandems ruined all of that status stuff. After tandems got popular you couldnt impress anyone with just being an ordinary skydiver. Now you have to claim to have skimmed granite faces in a wingsuit to even get a second look from women at a party. I am trying to see if I can photoshop a photo of me belly flying into an awesome wingsuit BASE jump picture. Me: "yeah, I spent the summer in Norway BASE jumping the Fjords. I have a picture right here on my iPhone." Her: "How pathetic. The sun's in the wrong position for those latitudes in summer. Looks like a fake to me. I'd say you were at about 37 degrees North, California's latitude, and PUHLEEEZE...that wingsuit is such an obvious cut and paste job. I came to this party to meet Snowmann, do you know him? Me: "No, never heard of the guy." 377 2018 marks half a century as a skydiver. Trained by the late Perry Stevens D-51 in 1968.
  13. Jo, That is very odd indeed. It has more the earmarks of a drug ripoff burglary than a Cooper cash burglary. Did Duane take drugs such as Cocaine? Did he ever sell drugs or broker deals? Did anyone think he did? Was anything in your freezer disturbed? It is a surprisingly frequent place for hiding valuable contraband and criminals know it. 377 2018 marks half a century as a skydiver. 14. Seriously Georger, find the suspect THEN tell us how irrelevant he is. Or admit that Snow is a better searcher and beg for the name. I had to eat some RF cooked crow because I couldn't find him. How do you like your crow seasoned? The dogs don't chew them unless Snow gives them permission. This is a great lesson in the subtilty of search word choices. 377 2018 marks half a century as a skydiver. Trained by the late Perry Stevens D-51 in 1968.
  15. You'd better not be scheming on my Olga Snow. She's 22 but is really into guys 3 times her age who have at least a hundred jumps on rounds and know what a pucker vent on a C9 is and where to find it. I sent her the money for a ticket on a flight direct from Leningrad to Perris Valley. She says the flight has been delayed, you know, all the heightened security and everything... 377 2018 marks half a century as a skydiver. Trained by the late Perry Stevens D-51 in 1968.
  16. Jo's analysis of the symbolism in Duane's last words would have greatly pleased my high school English teacher. She was always finding Christian rebirth meanings in everything from Willa Cather to JD Salinger. Want an A? Find a rebirth from accepting Christ symbolism in anything from Moby Dick to A Tale of Two Cities. How about Duane shoplifting massive caches of Kool Aid? How does that risky behavior fit in with him pulling up stakes and moving to avoid attention, especially if he thought he'd "left his prints on the aft stairs." A shoplifting arrest would include fingerprinting. When did Duane ever give anyone "the shirt off his back." Last I heard he was swiping their coats. Still, I found Jo's post strangely touching. 377 2018 marks half a century as a skydiver. Trained by the late Perry Stevens D-51 in 1968.
  17. You do know that Ckret and most other FBI SAs have to spend hours trolling for adults on fake iwannahookupwithanoldman.underage.com don't you Snow? It was just a short leap to the idea of recruiting citizen sleuths. Damn. For a while I really thought we were Junior G Men. Ckrets little experiment went to hell when Jo went on a rampage with the SAC. Now Ckret is pretending to be a chemist with Jihadist leanings. He goes by the screen name of Dr. Akbhar on makeabomb.com. We've been trolled. I have Stockholm Syndrome and still see Carr as a well meaning, intelligent, decent guy... neither rude nor abrasive. 377 2018 marks half a century as a skydiver. 18. Not rude or abrasive ???? Arrrrrrgh!!! OMG. Has a better example of the Stockholm Syndrome ever been presented? 377 2018 marks half a century as a skydiver. Trained by the late Perry Stevens D-51 in 1968.

  20. I was a Calif jumper in 71 and you are correct. Many jumpers secretly hoped that they would be a suspect. After all just being a skydiver in 71 was cool. There were no tandems so our tales of incredible courage and barely manageable technical difficulty were accepted in whole. Being Cooper would have been cool to the tenth power. I kinda wished I were a suspect. I kept jumping surplus gear when everyone was buying squares. I had been to Seattle just before Norjack. Sadly nobody considered me for a second. 377 2018 marks half a century as a skydiver. Trained by the late Perry Stevens D-51 in 1968.
  21. You made a good decsion Farflung. That kind of political theater sucks. Once in a while the wrong guy gets convicted. There have been times where it looked 100% certain that the person convicted really did the crime then they find out after killing him that he didnt. To me, there is no such thing as an acceptable error rate when you dole out capital punishment. If the system is imperfect, and it always will be, then you will kill a few innocent people. That's not OK with me. I dont like keeping murdering low lifes alive at my expense, but there is no other way to prevent the massive injustice of killing an innocent person. 377 2018 marks half a century as a skydiver. 22. Some sex offenders, especially but not exclusively child molesters, get a taste of their own medicine in prison and frequently. Everybody wants to feel morally superior and dole out "punishment" to someone whose criminal conduct was more reprehensible than their own. Defendants will say anything at a sentencing hearing if they think it will score points. Judges don't give a shit most of the time. They look at the facts of the crime, not the post capture post conviction remorse. Prison life sucks, even in low security Club Fed places. Nobody is having a great time in prison. 377 2018 marks half a century as a skydiver. Trained by the late Perry Stevens D-51 in 1968.
  23. I went to an art show in Berkeley recently. An artist had bought some windowed fuselage strips (each about 5 feet long) from scrapped 707 jets, polished and painted them in Pan Am livery and was selling them, along with a framed picture of a vintage 707 for over $4000. He sold a few. Here is cheaper version: http://www.uncommongoods.com/item/item.jsp?itemId=17459 I wonder why people missed the boat on selling pieces of the Cooper 727? 377 2018 marks half a century as a skydiver. 24. That is a beautiful speaker and stand 912. Can you send me a wav file of how it sounds so I can listen to it on my hypercompressed squequalized iPod? Just kidding... I like scrapyard stuff too. I found a bunch of heavy duty stainless orthopedic surgical stuff for scrap price. I used pairs of them to adjust pulley positions above hydraulic winches on a commercial fishing rig. They were not bearing the load, just giving some horizontal adjustment. One day at dockside some surgeons saw them and burst out laughing. Nice job on the speaker. 377 2018 marks half a century as a skydiver. Trained by the late Perry Stevens D-51 in 1968.
  25. Have Neil Young and Snowmman ever been seen together? Neil lives in the woods in the same mountain range as Snow does. Hmmm. 377 2018 marks half a century as a skydiver. Trained by the late Perry Stevens D-51 in 1968.
