  1. Man. Right now asphalt is a huge recycling outlet. It is mostly made of broken up glass bottles and ground up tires. This law sucks! Its going to make people want a black car even more, so they will just go to Nevada to get it painted.
  2. Did you guys catch the sharks and predators game the other day? Staubitz opened some whoop ass on Tootoo, damn! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZyU0yfGZu9g
  3. Oh, and California does not allow any class 3 weapons at all.
  4. Yeah that certainly is a good question. It took some major work and money to get that gun, that's for sure. I don't have any experience with AKs to tell you how hard it is to convert them to fully automatic, it is possible that all you need is some additional parts, rather than requiring the modification of the gun (which is the law actually). It is obvious to me that if he is able to illegally acquire a machine gun, then getting high capacity magazines is like going to the store for a pack of smokes. I really do hate the anti gunners who use every gun crime as an excuse to rally the public to vote in more gun laws. This man should not have been let out of jail to begin with.
  5. Hey its alright, he is just pissed that white dudes from America are going to his country and taking the smoking hot women who live there back to the US.
  6. Did you know, in california, you can buy every piece of a high capacity magazine, that can be readily assembled into a functioning magazine? They are called magazine parts kits. You buy them to repair your old, legal high capacity magazines, or fix your post ban 10 round magazines, or build them into 10 round magazines. But, it only takes 10 seconds to make it into the full capacity magazine that it once was. Do you think this criminal is going to mind breaking the law to assemble these mags? I heard from my police friend that is at the funeral right now, that the gun was an ak, that was fully automatic. When he heard the officers kick the door in, he opened fire through the walls.
  7. But Mama, that's where the fun is!
  8. Ha! Stupid google van. well what if you were just belly flying, and set a rapid fire on your camera and did a 360 looking straight out, and then another while looking mostly downwards? That should cover it, and hopefully won't be skewed because of the altitude loss.

  10. Nice! they have a couple good skydiving ones. The one under canopy has a description further down the page and says they were at 10,000 ft, so it is not very helpful for checking out the dz/lz but still a sweet photo for sure. It would be cool if we could get more of these. Thanks for the link!
  11. I had no idea you could sell plasma. Kick ass! Check out this cool website with plenty of other things you can sell from your body. http://www.icwt.us/index.php/2008/01/20/how-to-sell-your-uterus-eggs-kidney-liver-spleen-plasma-sperm-hair-body-for-easy-cash/
  12. The thread about a TV show going to different drop zones with amazing scenery got me thinking. How hard is it to take a bunch of rapid pictures, and combine them to make a full 360 degree view, that you can pan with your mouse? I realize that in freefall the point at which you take the pictures is going to be changing, but it would be close enough, right? It would sorta be like this, but also allow you to pan downwards to check out the LZ. http://www.panoramas.dk/Fullscreen2/Full22.html This could be a good learning tool when traveling to different DZs, and not to mention pretty cool to check out beforehand.
  13. I have seen a few pictures of articulated harnesses that have hip rings do this. Kinda like this photo: http://www.skydivespain.com/Photos/Oct07/071007IanSitFly.jpg Is there any harm besides a dislocated main handle?
  14. +1 Monterrey! They go to 18,000 and up there the sky is the same dark blue as the ocean! Going up to altitude takes you way out over the bay as well. I think you guys should be sure to include lots of drop zones in far away countries as well, like thai land or the philippine islands or something. Gotta get a mix of tropical ocean reef views, as well as mountains with snow etc. Parachute Center in Lodi gets points for turning lots of loads on the cheap!
  15. Weather the gun was legal or not to begin with should not matter, making a gun accept detachable high capacity magazines takes only a short period of time. The chance of it coming from across the boarder is almost none. This situation is a serious bummer, the average citizen of oakland needs to wake the fuck up and go to school or something, get a GED. Maybe then they will understand that it isn't cool to be a fucking idiot who talks so ghetto that they can't be understood by 95% of english speakers, and sell drugs for a living. Oh, and slappin a ho. Can't forget about an oaklander's favorite hobby.
  16. Well, it wasn't really fermenting because alcohol wasn't being produced, but sounds bomb! Similar to lemoncello, except you use lemon peels, being careful not to get any of the white inner part of the peel. I gotta give the skittles a try!
  17. Sounds to me like the bus driver is the one who did it, following the logic of the tried and true: Thou who smelt it, dealt it.
  18. I was wondering how that was going. You could probably add a little vodka and let it sit a bit longer to balance out the sugar/alcohol ratio. Hopefully it is good at least!
  19. Well if you don't mind, then stick is going to be cheaper, more durable, and last longer. Example: the guys who are turning the Cummins up to huge numbers (600hp and 1200ft/lbs is considered mild nowadays) either have to buy a completely ground up rebuilt auto, or just put a heavy duty clutch into the manual. My dream truck would be something like this: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/1998-2500-QUAD-CAB-12-VALVE-DIESEL-4X4-5-SPEED-SERVICED_W0QQitemZ180338257879QQcmdZViewItemQQptZUS_Cars_Trucks?hash=item180338257879&_trksid=p4506.c0.m245&_trkparms=72%3A317|65%3A12|39%3A1|240%3A1308 And then turned up to around this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-tHIVe6rif4 Or maybe a bad, bad mu'fu like this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DSPWrCQEmoU Tell me that is not pure chuck norris round house kick to the head manly whoopass!!!! So are you for sure buying new, because you need to finance or something? Or are older/better trucks open to you as well?
  20. I had to grab my copy and find the picture, that sure is funny! Hope you have a grass or sand landing area
  21. AFF program- around $1600 Jumps to get A license after AFF, 18 jumps minimum at around $50 each, $900. Do another 20 jumps to figure out what sort of gear you like: $1000 Used set of gear- Around $2000-$2500 on the cheap. So you are looking at about $5000 at this point. Why would you want to spent the extra cash on new gear when you could spend it on jump tickets?? You mentioned that you are military, there are a couple manufacturers that offer discounts, most notably wings, at 50% off the base cost (sweet!) and I believe mirage offers 35%, there may be others. Even if you go this route, buy used parachutes. A new AAD may save you some money in the long run though. Good luck! Edit to add: Beer $430
  22. Make some lemoncello!!! seriously That link about jungle juice isn't quite accurate. It says you can't use beer, however a common mix is bud light, vodka, and pink lemonade concentrate. Its the bomb!
  23. Also don't forget that the very large Fords, (ex F-650) don't use the v-8s, but rather they put a cummins in.
  24. The most rugged diesel engine ever offered in a light duty truck has to be the 12 valve cummins. These have the more robust and desirable "P" main injection pump. If you want the newer body style look for a 98 or so. The 24 valves are good as well, but they have more electronics and the main pump is less reliable and more expensive. Horsepower is not an issue with these engines, as with most diesels, they are very easy to turn up if need be. I would stay away from the v-8s, they are going to offer more horsepower but less torque at the low rpms where you need it. They have a higher fuel consumption as well. Our 99 dodge 24 valve cummins usually gets 22-24 highway with no load, and it has bigger injectors, a chip, yadda yadda. Some of the chips give you better mileage, and some of the injectors will as well, because they atomize the fuel better, but you will probably not recover the costs anytime soon, if at all with a lead foot. Do your research. Go Cummins, or a very distant second duramax. If you like big problems pick up a ford.
