My kid is in advanced biology in HS (she gets it from her mother) and is learning this now. I'm right now helping her with finals and have to say; it is being taught as a science and not as a political perspective.

I'm not that kind of conservative. On the record as opposed to State executions. Willing to listen and observe the assisted suicide discussion. I sit on a Veteran's committee that works on reducing the number of veteran suicide's (22/Day) and am a proctor of the Spartan Pledge. So, I may have some cognitive dissonance about the matter. Having said that, one that is terminally ill with cancer or some other sort of immense physical pain of which there is no cure and no end in sight . . .

I've been watching this whole thing. Not really an active contributor on Twitter (I do like the "World of Engineering" problems). I'm taking a back seat for now and gonna see which direction it goes. Part of me hopes he changes it for the better, but I fear he will wind up like Trump - Shooting himself in the foot with Twitter thumbs on the trigger.

We have the exact same position.

Yep. Watched Here comes Mr. Jordan as a kid. Heaven can wait at the theatre on a date when it came out. Always preferred Mr. Jordan. Not a fan of Beatty.

Give Nick Cannon a call. Errr. Wait, you said whatever, not whomever.

Questioning a 100% customer satisfaction rate. What am I thinking. :)

Morning, I feel like you're about to trip me up in a legal loophole. Technically, it should be, someone's going to play the public figure card, so how about I say - for a young lady also somewhere on the Asperger's Syndrome plane; it should be against the rules of decency.

Apologies if you thought I understood it any other way - "I, _____________Being of sound mind . . ." This would be a scary slippery slope to me, but at the same time there is a certain level of pain . . . In my own experience, I watched people burning to death and wanted to take them out to end their suffering sooner. So, I am not 100% opposed to it, but as a societal norm . . . you get the idea. Death is final. There's no coming back. I's dotted, T's crossed. No mistakes. kinda guy

Sky, the irony in this caused me quite the laugh. "God, they fucked this one up, send me back NOW!!"

Thanks, Ken. I struggle with it, but not from a religious perspective. I've had to pull the plug on a family member. No matter how much medical information you're provided, you always wonder if you made the right decision. Right now, we're going through another family member EoL; DNR, not DNR, etc. etc. So, perhaps this is not the best time for me to assess the situation, but I'll leave it on the note of I am not completely opposed to it, but it needs to be six sigma'd before I'd vote on it.

You can put your Karen back in the box. That's not what I'm saying and you know it. So, the liberals are opposed to the death penalty becuase mistakes can be made, but there can ne no mistakes with MAID? C'mon, man.

They thought they WERE the assisted care.

I read what he wrote and that's not it. He was explaining about the son AND how easy it would be for someone to do again if they followed ElonJets. EDIT: It was an analogy, not a correlation.

Charles Cullen, Jonathan Hayes, William Davis, etc. etc. Look up, "Angels of Mercy."

Posting the flight data is public Posting of individuals on those flights is private. When that individual is met with people wanting to inflict harm on landing, then I think they have a right to have that information "delayed" not unlike the public media placing an "X" second delay to censor if needed.

Have you seen or even heard of the mistakes made in healthcare?
-
I don't see what you want to see.
-
I'm lost - example?
-
Just as with my beliefs on Capital Punishment - A permanent solution demands a perfect process; I'd have to see it before I vote.

Frankly, I haven't seen anything he's done that's outside the official set of rules. https://help.twitter.com/en/rules-and-policies/twitter-rules I "think" he's trying to clean it up - but time will tell and as Wendy states, it may not be the cool playground to go to in the future.

dz.com is a public space.
-
Just as a point - DZ.com has forum rules. There have been some on here that have questioned the ban of others, but it's HH's house and rules are rules. Why is it not the same for Elon's sandbox?

I'm very familiar with the cat/dog rescue scenario. We have a rescue foundation. Same rules. A point being, the "Caring Killing Paradox" of one caring for critters throughout their lifetime and then having to put them down. 100's of them. It wears on the veterinary provider and is why they have the second highest suicide vocational rate. And, when a fellow veterinarian takes their own life; the entire vet community hears about it - causing an additional psychological/emotional affect. Especially, if that person was known as a strong individual. The main point being the psychological/emotional toll it will take on healthcare workers to perform assisted suicide on people and it's long-term effects. That should be a moral concern. PTSD doesn't just affect the military.
