  1. Why couldn't/wouldn't the manufacturers formalize an advisory that all rigs, chutes, etc, past, present and future are considered non-airworthy after 240 months from the Date of Manufacture?
  2. You brought up having lost an MS Office school edition - it was just a suggestion.
  3. Stupid Second Guy Syndrome. I don't blame the first guy for trying something, I blame the second guy who says, "That sounds like a good idea" when he should have said, "That sounds stupid."
  4. You know an Office 365 is only $6.99/month and downloads the PC version for local use.
  5. Brother, I just did it. Open Office > file > Save As > Test.rtf. Closed OO (It has to be closed) Opened MS Word Open > Test.rtf > No problem
  6. "With Trump, we lose," he added. Pay attention GOP. Don't do the Groupthink shit, don't overthink it, don't think he's out there in left field, Don't look at the numbers without looking at all of them, but you can't help yourself, can you? You're going to fuck this up, aren't you? You're going to let short-term money affect your long-term strategy, aren't you?
  7. The point being (although, not explicit), most people have some form of "Office" be it, MS. Open, Libre, Google Docs, etc. of which all can "Save As" .pdf. but none of which can provide the protection from cut/copy/paste like Adobe or one of the other full PDF applications like SoftMaker, but to get there - one has to pay something. I know of no PDF application that offers the functionality of Adobe for free. But, there are those with a lesser cost per annum. Sure it can. >File >Save As and select "Microsoft Word .doc or .docx" Anyway, I think Kallend has the info he needs.
  8. One can "export" or "Save as .pdf in MS Office, LibreOffice, etc. the issue is they don't have the full functionality of Adobe and anyone can cut/copy/paste your work. Another alternative is FreeOffice: https://www.freeoffice.com/en/ They also developed a FreePdf which you might try: https://www.getfreepdf.com/en/download for a test drive Both by SoftMaker. The only caveat is agreeing to use your email address (but you can unsubscribe from their marketing campaigns at any time). EDIT: The full version is $79.00/Year: https://www.softmaker.de/flexipdf Hope that helps.
  9. The problem IS Crypto. Soon, the nearly 1,855 other bitcoin-like currencies out there will begin to tumble. This was a bad investment from the beginning. I looked into it in the beginning, but chose not to pursue it. It was a solution looking for a problem.
  10. Once any company's P/E Ratio steps significantly outside the interquartile range, there's going to be a problem.
  11. We prefer the term: Reassignment Room, please.
  12. This made me chuckle. Wait till you start learning Vertical and can't get to a stand position that easily. Kinda reminds me of rotary wing instructors during the hover phase, "Now try to remember everything you did today, cause once you find the hover button; you won't be able to do it ever again." On tone with the topic . . . there's been a couple of others that have suggested good reasons.
  13. If we can move the needle one degree; it'll change our direction. I have hope (and prayers ) I mean if the Mormon church can change its position one degree on same-sex marriage . . .
  14. A friend, fellow skydiver and former member of the 82nd Airborne and I went to the 1983 Nationals in Muskogee (not to compete as skydiving newbies, but to watch). We took our rigs, "just in case" we could jump. A big way formed up and the team captain came and said there were two slots on Mr. Douglas, did we want them. Absofrigginlutelty!! He told us to go to the front of the plane and let them out and wait thirty seconds before going. Then he asked if we had ever jumped that plane and knew how to exit. Nope. "Point your chin at the bottom of the door and dive out." It was one of my more memorable jumps. I got to jump Mr. Douglas. It would be my one and only time, but I still love that I got to be a part of history and am glad that others will soon be able to also. EDIT: Damn, I just realized that was almost 40 years ago. What the hell happened.
  15. I "believe" all three have said the same thing I have - If Trump is the nominee; we're out. My point is they remain R's and are trying to wake the GOP the fuck up about the Trumpists. My point is - I won't change parties now; but will if there is not change. My voice is not the only one and the group gets louder. There are more and more R's using their voice on gun control, abortion rights, etc. You (the GOP) needs to listen. This. And then as you state later: That is why I remain a rock in the stream. If there comes a point where the stream becomes a river; there's many of us that will change to the Independent party. We have a good relationship of discussion, Phil. I appreciate your input.
  16. You mean like staying in your own party and trying to evoke change from within, rather than tucking tail and crossing party lines just cause your knickers are twisted on a couple of issues, kinda non-confrontational?
  17. I went into the VA about two weeks ago and got the quadrivalent flu shot in one arm and the new and improved Moderna Covid booster in the other at the same time. No sore arms, no muscle aches, no tails growing outta my ass. Little tired the next day, but that could've been any number of factors. Anyway, if you haven't already, please get your shots. You may be a pain in the ass, but you're my pain in the ass.
  18. Seriously. The exact same position you took with me regarding Greene, but, never mind.
  19. Morning, Sky . . . Look at the dates for each.
  20. Thanks, Phil. But, IMO there's more propensity towards racism in MAGA, than in just Republican. There's plenty of racism in both parties and when we of that party see it, need to out it, not make excuses, or act as if it isn't there. or say the other side has more.
