The difference between 4 and 3.8 is a little more than one second, so I would find it hard to characterize that as loss of altitude awarness ...

I still jump at the same place -- not a heck of a lot of choices when you live on an island! There is one other drop zone on the island, but it is more than 3 hours driving time north ...
