I have 2 girls, age 8 and 10 ... I would say: support your kids ideas, unless they are somehow harmful! You will show her that you believe she is capable of making the right choices on issues that are of importance to her. Good luck!

I hear ya there! I haven't upgraded to 8 yet just for that reason ... can't keep throwing money at these guys! -
Totally clouded out here in Victoria -- plus we had around 50mm of rain! There are huge puddle on some of the streets this morning... the ducks love it!

The reason a "storm" is forecasted is becuse Earth will be passing through a particularly thick cloud of debris in the tail of comet Swift-Tuttle. And 33 years is how long the comet takes to orbit the star we live closest to.

Last year I took the wife and kids outside, and we stopped counting meteors a 400 ... it was incredible! But this year -- it is raining heavily right now -- with little chance of any clearing, so we ain't gonna see squat...

Well I thought the fx were better this time, but the character development wasn't as good... either way, my kids loved it! Can't wait the 4 weeks 'till "The Two Towers" hit the big screen...
