Awww... that sucks. I'm very sorry to hear about your dog passing away ... witnessing a dog getting run over isn't something you needed ... with everything that's going on these days, we just don't need to see stuff like that.

How's 'bout: "I'm sorry we are killing civillians, including women and children, with these really cool big bombs ... we can't see the fear in the eyes of you and your neighbours when we drop them from above your homes, so it doesn't really bother us that much ..." I'm with you, Dumpster ... bats are cool! We have many around our yard --- eating the gad-zillions of mosquitos from the swamp about 30 metres from the house ... I drove on one of my daughter's school field trips last year to the nature house at one of the local parks ... the naturalists had a great "bat" program. Let's find those plans for bat-houses!

Hope yer jaw ain't busted up ... we had jumping weather for two days this weekend, but no planes! I think I've only been up twice since Christmas ... I'm altitude horny!!!

Yup. I think it was about 20 or 30 jumps before my heart beat didn't escalate in the plane prior to each jump. And I guarantee that many - if not most of the people here had a few fears back in their student days. Hang in there ...

I personally have never intended to offend any of you in the posts I have made in recent days. I have strong feelings about the state affairs in the world, just like the rest of you. I don't have a clue what you mean by "real" USAV volley ball ... I played lots of volleyball for years ... for fun. Same with Walleyball ... it's all good. At 6'6", I was a good power hitter/blocker. My good buddy Scott is also 6'6". They used to call us "twin towers". My wife, back in high school, was on our school's team... they won the Provincial Championship. I know a couple of guys that were national level players way back when ... I like the pix you posted!

Wow ... you are REALLY putting words in my mouth ... yes, we know skydiving is dangerous, so to reduce the risk of death and/or injury, we wear a reserve. I am GLAD my government has legislated seat belt use, bike helmet use, and does not permit people to smoke in ANY work place. None of my personal freedoms are infringed upon. How can anyone claim that their lives are too restricted if they are required to use a seatbelt or a motorcycle helmet? You know, there comes a point where your demands for "freedom to choose" border on ridiculous. I do NOT favor legislating the use of an AAD beacuse VERY FEW lives are saved by these devices. Sealbelts, motorcycle helmets, and bike helmets save an ENORMUS number of lives. I support NON-SMOKING legfislation because cancers caused by second hand smoke kill LOTS of people.
