  1. No option for us kitten-loving atheists?
  2. It's the start of Little League season here tomorrow ... that means LOTS of time at the ballpark with my 2 kids over the next few months! I'm already looking foward to those concession burgers!
  3. http://www.space.com/scienceastronomy/map_discovery_030211.html Hmmm ... it seems I'm always trying to get in the last word!
  4. Thanks for posting that, Quade. Good reading even for people who jump with someone else flying camera!,
  5. Trent, I don't think this invasion of Iraq has anything to do with "helping people who are oppressed". I think it has more to do with a small group of neo-conservative men, including the likes of Paul Wolfowitz -- who want to control the world. They view the demise of the Soviet Union as the opportunity for the USA to gain control of the world. This is just one small step in their agenda. It's got little to do with fighting terrorism or liberating the people of Iraq.

  15. Doing my vibe sending right now!!!
  16. Jessica, work in the newsroom lately has been pretty stressful for sure! Apart from my perosnal opinion of the war, it is difficult to dissassociate from the endless stream of images I am seeing, and produce an objective newscast. I just HATE hearing about how many Iraqis are being killed, how many Ameican and British soldiers are being killed, and in particular, I REALLY HATE seeing the images of children with fear in their eyes, fleeing their homes to stay alive ... I hope you are managing ok thru it all... Your group hug is a good idea.
  17. Downloading music without paying amounts to nothing more than stealing. You don't work for free, do you? Well neither do muscians... yes, it's too bad that big business has this thing called "record companies" ... people who often take the lion's share of the profits for doing relatively little compared to what the artists do ... but we still need a system that adequately compensates the artists/muscians for their product. But if you download tunes off the internet without paying, you are still ripping off the artist.
  18. American football even has 4 downs ... it's boring. Want some exciting North American "football"? Try the CFL ... with 3 downs, it's way more exciting.
  19. I take my meds to get confused!!!
  20. Am I post-whoring by bumping this ?
  21. If you do one, you have to do the other ... and the opposite is true, too.

  23. Ya ... Wolfowitz's proposal, considerer "extreme" by most, were withdrawn in the early 90's by the administration of the day ... that was then -- this is now. SAme thing I said, different choice of worlds. It all equals USA control of the region. Do you really believe your government would send American soldiers to their deaths for "humanitarian" reasons ... would the USA really spend hundreds of billions on a humanitarian cause in a country on the other side of the world? I don't believe so ... it's all about power and control. Remember, the Taliban and SH were friends of the USA not too long ago ...
  24. This war is NOT about liberating Iraqi children. It is part of Paul Wolfowitz plan for the USA to gain contro of the middle east in the post-Soviet Union era. This war has been on paper since the early 1990's. A small group of neo-conservative men -- Republicans -- all in top positions -- none elected -- would see the Un eliminated becasue they see it as a hinderance to US world domination. Even now, Rumsfeld wants no UN contribution to the rebuilding of Iraq. He thinks it should be a USA controlled endeavour. Wolfowitz hopes that once the USA is done changing the government in Iraq, people in Syria and Iran will -- with support for Uncle Sam -- will "rise up" and change their governments ... to a USA friendly administration. Then the USA can build more military bases in the middle east, and gain control of natural resources and stratgeic territory. THAT is what this war is about. Remember -- the money trail from 9/11 leads to Saudi Arabia, NOT Iraq ... and none of the men on those planes were from Iraq. As far as a "threat tto the USA" ... N Korea poses much more of a threat to Americans that Iraq does ... but like I said, then plans to attack Iraq were drawn up by Wolfowitz in the early 1990's ... 9/11, while terrible and horrific, made a convienent excuse the American public would buy for attacking SH.
  25. Well, ever since I can remember, I've had this dream where I am running, and I take longer and longer strides ... with each subsequent stride, I can soar a bit more --- sometime, in my dreams, I can soar up to the tree tops as I am "running"... other times, I can start soaring so far that I pull my feet up, and just continue moving above the ground. I also remember, as a kid, running down my yard, and jumping into the bushes ... a brief moment of flight. And I was a great high jumper back in high school. And I was always jumping off the cliffs into lakes and rivers nearby... it all comes down to wanting to fly -- not the sitting in a plane type of flying -- just plain old flying free! And now that I am all growed up -- I really can fly!
