That is a good point, SniperCJ. Let's hope they have a good business plan, so they can keep providing the skydiving community with great products.

What an awful few days. Goodbye, Holly. BSBD.

Go Ashley, go!!!

I started jumping my own gear at around 30 - 35 jumps. I went from jumping a student 288 Manta to a previously owned 210 Silhouette, loaded at about 1:1 ... I plan to put 300 or 400 jumps on it before downsizing again. I spent about $1200 usd to get the main, reserve, and the container (a Dolphin D3). The rig had around 300 jumps on it when I purchased it. I found it in the classifieds on another skydiving website (that was before I found dropzone.com).

Of course, I had to race out and get the latest Harry Potter dvd the first day it was available here ... and I do agree that Felton did play the role of Malfoy convincingly!

Do you think that celebrities who DO support the suffer a backlash for their vocal stance? And it seems to me that the people of Iraq are not establishing a government ... the USA is installing a government ...

Michele ... I'm sending the vibes back to you today.... thanks again for your kind thoughts yesterday!

Might wanna post this over in talk back, too ... I think lazerq3 is in somewhere in Utah.

Hmmmm... interesting pespective! -
Well I need an excuse for a trip ... maybe I can come and bring a news crew along, too! Skydiving stories look so much better on tv than on paper, don't they, Jess?!? (At work, I produce a tv newscast) We did a story a couple of years back about a wish foundation here in my city ... young man, 20 or 21, dying of cancer -- his last "wish" is to skydive ... so my dzo takes him for a tandem. My friends Al and Tim fly video, and we have a newscamera on the ground. Anyway, it was a great day, a good skydive, made a very moving news story -- and the fellow died a few weeks later... sad, but a very compelling story.

I'm surprised, bodypilot90 ... couldn't find anything inflammatory to post tonight?

***"If you don't fuckin' like it here then get the fuck out!" ***Gee... so much for all the "freedoms" ... I thought "free speech" was something those "soldiers" went to war to defend, not the concept of "either you are with us or you are against us".

what happens if you already have yer head shaved???

Steve, although my daughters are a bit younger than yours (mine are 8 and 10), I believe that you should support their choices in such matters (when they are the age of your daughter) ... she needs to know that you think she can navigate her way thru society and make good choices (as long as she ain't hurting herself or anyone else). I know that one day I will be examining things from the position you are in right now ... I figure that if you make it clear to your kids that you DON'T support their choices, then more rebellion is on the horizon... Good Luck! -
Sex, Drugs, and Rock and Roll. And if that ain't gonna fly, how 'bout kids who are making a difference ... you know-- we hear much about the youth who are always causing trouble ... storys about kids doing great things are always good reading. Of course, who reads a paper when they can watch the news on tv???
-
well ... my kids don't have nutz ... as they are both "young ladies"

I used to be young ... but that was before I got older... I have accumulated wisdom for over 4 decades, so at least I am old AND wise!
