  1. Ha...I've only locked myself out once, in the middle of the Catskills during a few days of camping/hiking. Spent a few days hiking and ended up further from the car then intended. Buddy stayed w/ the gear and I went for the car. Found him, we loaded the gear, I close the trunk and ask him for the keys. Of course he doesn't have them. We have no idea if they are lost or in the trunk. Volvo 240s have a ski hole behind the armrest in the backseat that goes into the trunk (thankfully the doors were unlocked, but the 240 didn't have a trunk release). After about 45 minutes of looking everywhere in the area we pulled out everything we could out of the ski hole to no avail. Then we pulled out the entire backseat and had to cut through the fiberboard backing to the trunk to continue pulling everything out of the trunk. My keys were literally the very last item to come out of the trunk. I miss that car. It had 350,000 miles on it when I moved to NYC and sold it and still ran like a champ. Killing threads since 2004.
  2. Normally I would jump right in and throw something out there about using credit wisely, but in this case Pruitt (and Nic), I have no desire to see your naked ass swimming across the pond again for free jumps, so charge away!!! Good luck to you and Nic on your level 6 and 7 jumps this weekend! Killing threads since 2004.
  3. That's awesome! I love Jack Black. Killing threads since 2004.

  5. Hmmm...just have to figure out how to hook a tow rope up to an air mattress. Now that would be one hell of a way to wake someone up! Killing threads since 2004.
  6. Isn't there a little row boat over near the swoop pond, by the bonfire area? Killing threads since 2004.
  7. I still have no job Should probably save money Or I could skydive No job is a sign More time to jump out of planes Off to jump now, ya'll Killing threads since 2004.
  8. Careful w/ some of those suggestions. A couple of them are not actually dropzones and will just redirect you to a dropzone nowhere near those places. Note that if you google 1-888-305-DIVE you also come up with Skydive Albany (GA) and Skydive Alabama. Killing threads since 2004.
  9. Ding...ding...ding...THAT'S IT!!! Thanks so much, and thanks to everyone else for throwing your guesses out there. Killing threads since 2004.
  10. Ouch...tough question right now. Historically special event planning/fundraising for non-profit arts orgs. Currently out of work trying to decide whether to take an AmeriCorps volunteer position and be completely broke for the next year or keep working random temp jobs in order to pay for skydiving. We'll see! Killing threads since 2004.
  11. A little ironic that M&M/Mars Co. has a driver whose name is Nestlerode? Do I smell a conspiracy? Killing threads since 2004.
  12. She looks awfully cute in a lot of these pictures, but WATCH OUT BOYS!!! Killing threads since 2004.
  13. Driving from Louisiana to Atlanta in the middle of the night a couple weekends back I heard a country song on the only station that would come in and I've been trying to figure out the name of the song and who sings it. It's a guy from the South singing about going to NYC, compares the two and can't wait to get back to Dixie. Hearing it was quite funny because my two friends from NYC that were with me were in the midst of their first ever trip to the South. Anyone know the song and artist? Killing threads since 2004.
  14. Mmmm...buckeyes. . I will never forget the weekend I was moving into my freshman year dorm at the Univ. of Cincinnati. The guy a couple doors down kept talking about how psyched he was about his mom showing up with buckeyes the next weekend and I just couldn't understand. Until that weekend. Only once or twice have I ever been as sick as I was after we stayed up all night eating the two month supply she brought him! Oh, and so as not to hijack...mmmm...steak. Killing threads since 2004.
  15. I haven't made the drive, but I would say between 2 and 2.5 hours depending on route and traffic. Probably about 40 minutes further than you are driving to get to Rome. Killing threads since 2004.
  16. $300k - that's a lot of jumps! My advice would be go, experience something different in a new enviornment. You are young enough that you really don't have to settle into anything yet. Try out something new. If it doesn't work you can always go back in your original direction, but at least you will have seen a bit more of what is out there, and if you leave on good terms made a few more connections. I get frustrated staying in the same place for too long though. If you really think you would be content, sticking around the same place for 5 or 6 years right out of school will look good on a resume in the future. Good luck w/ the decision!!! 17. That would be why I haven't seen it there when I've looked! I usually can't listen to audio books because I zone out and end up missing most of it, but I have a feeling that this one might keep my attention. I think I'll see if one of the sites has some chapter samples I can download. Killing threads since 2004.
  18. How is that book? I've been meaning to purchase it but haven't been past a book store recently. Killing threads since 2004.
  19. Oh, and he was so close! Speaking of...did that video ever end up online anywhere? Killing threads since 2004.
  20. That's awesome! Pretty easy to get hooked, huh? Same thing for me. I did one tandem while I was out of work. I loved it so much I ran home and the next day went to every temp agency in town to find at least some sort of job and the next week signed up for AFF. You are jumping in Georgia, so when you think it is cold, just think about the people jumping in Chicago! Have fun and be safe!!! Killing threads since 2004.
  21. No kidding. I was about to freak when he pulled out the pen because I thought it was a necklace or something. I just hope that the whole graduating from college thing wasn't a start to writing Charlie off the show. I absolutely love the sarcasm. Killing threads since 2004.
  22. That was great. Speaking of favorite characters, I still miss the hell out of Sam's character. I watch the Bravo repeats all the time and he's always been one of my favorites. Tonight at 7pm was one of my favorites w/ the Senator Stackhouse filabuster. Killing threads since 2004.
  23. Keep posting, man. I love your picture threads. Always anxious to see what's next. Killing threads since 2004.
  24. The pizza thing was pretty funny. So I guess Jimmy Smits is coming in as the press secretary? I never thought it would be Will, but I had a far fetched guess about Charlie. I figured it was pretty unrealistic, but after they threw in that "made me promise I would quit when I graduated" bit it made me consider it. I love CJ too. I think I'll miss the interaction w/ the press though. We'll see! Killing threads since 2004.
  25. Holy change of events, Batman! WOW! WHAM! KAPOW! Killing threads since 2004.
