HA! I had the same thought when I opened the post. Killing threads since 2004.

I've always thought it was kind of funny seeing which people pop up on my Facebook page as "suggested" friends. Usually random people from high school or college, or friends of friends, etc. Facebook was just cruel this evening though. I glanced over at the right side of my screen and the three people listed were three ex-girlfriends from three COMPLETELY different periods of my life. One from high school in Georgia, one from college in Ohio and one from New York. What are the chances? There is absolutely no connection between any of them other than having dated me. You went to RIT? Just had a girl on my crew last winter that went to RIT, graduated a year or two ago. Didn't know I had any kind of connection to someone else that went there. Killing threads since 2004.

Wouldn't an ice ax be more appropriate? Well he made a reference to ass-scratching, and all I could think of was the spatula tickling scene in the base commander's kitchen in the movie Stripes. Chalk one up for RANDOM! Killing threads since 2004.

Or maybe it was the neighbor lady using her teeth. Would serve his wife right for making him drive around the pink car, right? Killing threads since 2004.

I know what you mean. For example: Open Bonfire. Read some threads but leave some others unopened and still marked as unread. Close browser. Later open new browser. When I go into Bonfire again the only posts/threads shown as new are those that have been posted since I closed the browser earlier. The ones that I previously left unread are now marked as read. Not the end of the world, but would be nice if I'm just missing something in my set-up to stop that from happening. That's definitely buggy. Sorry I haven't gotten to this, but I haven't actually seen it. Thanks for the bump! I went ahead and submitted it. I'll also think about the mark-as-read button a bit. Killing threads since 2004.

You know, man, I tried that shit once in college when someone kept trying to engage me in conversation and they answered "YES, I take it you have as well?" I thought I was home free as soon as it popped into my head and I almost choked on the beer I was drinking when he said that. I didn't have a cell phone in college, but having the ability to communifake every time someone stopped me on campus and say "do you mind if I ask you a question?" would have been nice. Might have kept me from telling a few less people where they could stick their savior. That said, it was always kind of fun seeing their jaw drop though. Killing threads since 2004.

Are you using Firefox? Firefox has an ad-block plug-in that works just wonderfully. Killing threads since 2004. -
Insecure or not, he's driving a free freakin' car. Perfect opportunity to suck it up and drive. (They are still free, aren't they? Know they used to be when an aunt got one). Killing threads since 2004.

Is that what I'm missing using ad block software? I thought it was just Lance and some fishing pole holder shorts. Killing threads since 2004. -
Do you really not see any avatars next to all the posts in this thread? Your post doesn't have an avatar next to it for me, but most of the others do. edit: grammar Killing threads since 2004.

Of the choices I voted for morning after pizza. Mmmm...nothing better than a cold piece of pizza for "breakfast" at 3pm. Killing threads since 2004.

hehe...I was on a wildfire a couple years ago when we lost the fire after a flaming raccoon came running over the control line into the green. We had a hell of a wind running up the line and that thing wasn't 10 ft across the line when the fire took hold and took off. I had heard people talk about it and have seen plenty of "toasty" animals come out but that was certainly a first and something I've never seen again. Killing threads since 2004.

Guilty, but for a slightly different reason. I've faked a phone call twice, both at airports. The first time I got into a "conversation" with someone who barely took a break long enough to take a breath, much less actually allow me to talk. I have a work phone and personal phone. Took me a few tries, but I was able to dial one phone from inside my pocket so the other one rang so of course I had to answer it. I didn't want to be so rude as to just get up and walk away, not to mention I could tell this dude would have just gotten up and gone right with me. Second time I just faked talking (with my phone on silent!) because I saw someone walk up that you could just tell was looking for a good conversational target and I just wasn't in the mood (again at the airport). Saw him target in on me and got the phone up just in time to get him to divert to another target and leave me alone for the next hour that we had to wait. Of course, who the fuck did I end up sitting next to on the plane? You guessed it. Normally I don't mind talking so much on plane, but it was a long flight and I was having sinus issues so I really just wanted to pass the hell out and sleep through the misery. Not that time. Understood. By the way, you did a great job in picking a username. Don't know you well yet, but I'd say it probably fits. Killing threads since 2004.

I'd agree that guys probably have it a lot easier than women sifting through piles of creapos posting online. Tough in a small town though! I dated a number of women I met online living in NYC, but in a town of 60,000 it's near impossible. I went on three dates with someone. The third was a big group deal and met a pile of her friends, that pretty much included 2/3 of the other people "available" in town. Oy! Killing threads since 2004.

Guess I didn't title it very well! There. I fixed it for you Nah...I don't give a damn about whether people wear helmets or not. Above is what I should have gone with... Killing threads since 2004.

Sorry to those not interested in a helmet/no helmet thread. We've seen it before and I'm sure we'll see it again. Didn't really mean for this thread to turn into one though I guess I knew it probably would. Not sure how y'all feel, but I think it's kinda nice to read an argument that has to do with something other than pol#%cs or g$@ns. Killing threads since 2004.

I guess I figure I would just get annoyed too quickly. I don't have a whole lot of space between a) "whoa, this shit rocks" and b) "this sucks, WTF am I doing here." I think a dragonfly to the forehead at 80mph would help me switch from A to B in a hurry. In regard to helmets in general, I would LOVE to ride without my helmet. I'm still awfully new to the game though. Not only do I not trust others, I really don't trust myself yet. That, and in the short time I've been doing EMT ride-a-longs I've already helped bag up two helmetless bikers, both of whom failed to negotiate turns and tried to eat electric poles. Lonely and hard-up are two pretty different things. While you'd certainly get some action that way, not sure how much it helps with someone feeling lonely outside of a relationship. Killing threads since 2004.
