Always been a fan of Soledad O'Brien (sp?). Used to book folks on the Saturday Today Show every once in a while and showing up to see and chat with her was one of very few reasons I'd ever wake up on a Saturday at 3:30am with a smile on my face! Killing threads since 2004.

Ok, so 41 replies and one or two came somewhere in the vicinity of the topic. Lucky for you to those that are in bug free places. South Texas unfortunately does not fall into that category! So, for those of you that wear something other than a full face or nothing at all, especially you folks in places with love bug infestations, etc., how the hell do you do it? I've taken a couple hits to the neck as kbordson mentioned and it sucked! edit: spelling Killing threads since 2004.

Yup, I realized that and just came back to edit this morning but it was too late. Killing threads since 2004.

To those of you that ride w/out a helmet... ...how the hell do you do it!?!?!?!? I choose to wear a helmet but I understand completely why people like riding without a helmet and have no problem with it, everyone should have the choice. My question is, how the hell do you deal with the freakin' bugs? The last month or so I can hardly ride anywhere without wiping bug splatter off my face shield and I can only imagine what they would all feel like hitting me square in the face. I always wondered before I started riding too, watching guys in Florida riding around w/ no helmets on during love bug infestations. How do you do it?!?!?!? Killing threads since 2004.

Investigators are trying to locate the woman to sort out the stories. Anyone with information about the alleged incident is encouraged to call CrimeStoppers at 58-CRIME. --------------------------------------------------- Uh, wouldn't she probably be at the same address the pizza was delivered to? Wow, very impressed with the pics. Was a nice break in the day taking a few minutes to browse through them. THANKS! Killing threads since 2004.

Good, maybe once this case is over CNN will realize Nancy Grace doesn't have anything else to talk about and will yank her off the air. I get pissed just passing the station while channel surfing. Makes me mad that when I think of the case I think of her and how much she annoys me instead of the little girl. Killing threads since 2004.

I'm interested down the line a little, but for the moment I'm still interested in just focusing on me and what I want to do with life, career, etc. I'm open to getting smacked upside the head by the right girl and know I might change my outlook in a hurry if that happens, but for now I want to make decisions based on what is best for me and make sure I really know who I am before I transition from "Me" into "We." I was really only around for 4 or 5 months back in 2004, but I got around a little during that time. The Mountain Boogie was my first time away from the Farm and met a number of folks that became good friends. I've rarely laughed as hard as I did when the helicopter landed and someone (Jay I think?) came back to the bonfire and told everyone it was the DEA (or some other law enforcement). Several folks were a little too gullible for their own good! Killing threads since 2004.

I don't find myself all that tired of any given celeb, but what I get tired of is folks putting them on a pedestal and paying attention to what they say just because they are a good actor, etc. There are a few exceptions in my book, when you find a celeb who really does have a good head on their shoulders and doesn't just act as a mouthpiece but actually gets involved and does something. Oddly enough, considering the point of the thread, Jolie is one of the few celebs I respect for the stuff she does. I do get tired of people actually caring about seeing baby pictures or giving a shit where she decides to go to give birth, etc. In a former job I managed the relationship between the United Nations and my boss who was a UN Goodwill Ambassador. It gave the the opportunity to hear Jolie (amongst many others) address numerous audiences at the UN. I like that rather than someone just spouting their opinions about what the government is doing wrong, etc. blah blah blah she is involved personally and does it with actual interest in doing good as opposed to just being seen doing good by the press. Anyway. That's all. Killing threads since 2004.

...and $2.85 this morning was even better! Killing threads since 2004.

I was there. Made the last of my low number of jumps that weekend. Left home with a pocket full of cash to spend jumping, but stopped on a whim at an RV dealer on the way and put said cash down on the camper I moved into the next week. Got one or two jumps in but spent most of the time on the ground. I pulled my crow bar out of my trunk to add to the car beating festivities and never did see it again! Killing threads since 2004.

Just filled up for $2.99/gallon a little over two hours south of Houston. Felt like winning the lottery (though we've never had prices near as high as lots of the country). Killing threads since 2004.

You know, I was at UC for 4 years and it wasn't until 3 weeks before I graduated and left town that I tried a Skyline 3-way for the first time. Man I loved it, but it sure didn't love me back. Kind of glad that was a short-term relationship as I could imagine having had many gastro-intestinally challenged hangovers. The first time I tried skyline chili I didn't really like it... but I the next time I tried it... I found that it sorta started to grow on me... I was @ UC for a few years as well... and Skyline and Graeter's were staples during weekends studying... mmmm...peanut butter chocolate chunk (and the chunks were really chunks!) Hmmm...as if the new scent was that of a competitor? A friend's dog did that a couple times after the friend had been away for a day or two and spending a lot of time with a different dog rubbing up on him, etc. Each time it happened shortly after returning home prior to showering or changing clothes. Last time he made the same visit he got in, changed clothes and showered before seeing the dob and the dog kept his pee to himself. Killing threads since 2004.

Freakin' nurses!!! I've fallen head over heals for half a dozen or so lately. In the middle of clinical rotations as an EMT student and geez, it's freakin torture!!! I swear the hospital HR departments must have some kind of quota system for keeping the place stocked with smokin' hotties! Oh, and y'all should really be forced to wear some kind of sticker since so many married ones don't wear rings. Killing threads since 2004.

Exactly! I've enjoyed being able to ride my motorcycle without soaking through with sweat under my helmet and jacket. Of course, it is a bit chilly riding to work in the mornings when it's down in the low 70s. Killing threads since 2004.

I thought I was the only one!!! I can handle anything on the list in moderation. As someone else said, it's when I'm crazy hungry and my eyes are bigger than my stomach that I get in trouble. I have that problem just as easily at Taco Bell as I do at a top steak restaurant though. Killing threads since 2004.

Agreed. I've always enjoyed a good FSU Miami game, especially when FSU comes out on top!!! I used to follow the 'Noles a lot more than I do now and still get a feeling of dread whenever I hear an announcer say Wide Right. Killing threads since 2004.

That sounds like a bit Lex & Terry would do. Killing threads since 2004.

There used to be a great place called Nacho Mama on the upper west side in NYC. I think it's still there, but back in 2001 or so they underwent a renovation and "up-scaling" and did nothing but make the place look prettier and make the food cost more while taking some of the nastiest and greasiest stuff off the menu. Wasn't worth going any more after that! Killing threads since 2004.

Yeah and the billboards could say: "Eat Here & Get Gas!" A friend made the very same comment when we passed it!!! Killing threads since 2004.

No shit. We started September in south Texas with temps more like November than this time of year. It's warmed up a bit lately, but we're still seeing 60s at night. I'm not complaining, I freakin love it, but I'm waiting for ole' Mom nature to say "just kidding" and send us back up to the 90s and 100s in the middle of November. Killing threads since 2004.
