  1. I couldn't get past the attached level. Killing threads since 2004.
  2. I believe Alabama is going in with the tougher mental game to play. They are undefeated, they've been #1, they are getting all the hype. They can only lose from where they are now. Of course both teams have the championship on their mind, but Florida has been there more recently and it won't be as fresh for them as for Alabama. I sure as hell hope that both the SEC and Natl championship games are good games this year. It's been a joke here lately. I'm all for blowouts by the SEC, but a good game would be nice to watch. Something along the lines of the OU/OSU game would be nice - lots of scoring, nothing decided until right up to the last minute. Killing threads since 2004.
  3. Shit on a shingle! I got a 46. I shot a two on the last hole, and under par on the last 5, but I really cornholed the first few as I was getting the hang of it. Probably should have restarted once I got the feel for it, but that wouldn't have been honest now, would it. I'm sure nobody else did that! Killing threads since 2004.
  4. I guess I failed to add my prediction to my other post. Though a Georgia fan at heart, my tendency is to pull for Florida in this one. Not sure why. I think it's mainly just pulling for the SEC East as opposed to Florida specifically. I think Alabama deserves it though. They made it through the regular season undefeated, against a relatively heavy schedule, etc. I will DIE though if Florida wins and the computers kick them out of contention for the championship. I would like to see the SEC take it for yet another year. The main team I'm watching now is Cincinnati. Shit, the high school marching band competition held in the college stadium drew more fans than the homecoming game when I was in school there, but it's good to see them stepping up and playing ball. 5. Take a look at this article: http://rivals.yahoo.com/ncaa/football/blog/dr_saturday/post/BCS-Realpolitik-Oklahoma-it-is-but-a-new-route?urn=ncaaf,125550 Puts some perspective on how the computer aspect of the BCS score could completely hose Florida if they win. Killing threads since 2004.
  6. They got their asses FLATTENED by a herd of elephants. Either way, it's awesome.
  7. Ding ding ding! A campaign for awareness, not recruitment. Killing threads since 2004.
  8. I believe I just heard the fat lady start singing. Killing threads since 2004.
  9. I don't think its going to happen. Who would have thought that the score in the 4th would be 54 to 41? That's not a college football score, that's a high school basketball score! Normally I would say me either, but shit, with the plays these guys have been pulling out of their asses all night long I wouldn't put anything past anyone! Of course, w/ 32 seconds left, it would have to be a pretty impressive play to pull out of one's ass to come back now. Killing threads since 2004.
  10. I'd kind of like to see OSU win, but that's only because I'd like to see Texas get stomped in the national championship game by an SEC team. I don't even care about that very much, I just have a lot of Texas fan friends that care a WHOLE lot. Regardless of who wins, I'd really like to see this one come down to the last play of the game. Edit - that turnover isn't going to help OSU getting back up there. Killing threads since 2004.
  11. Shit dude, that could be said time and again, for both teams in this one! I only got home for the 2nd half but it's been a fun game to watch. Doesn't matter which way this one goes, I'll have a pile of friends elated and a pile of friends pissed! Killing threads since 2004.
  12. That one hurt. It looked so good in the first half, HORRIBLE for the beginning of the 2nd half and then ok for a little while. Killing threads since 2004.
  13. Well, private or public, without customers they can't pay the bills. And no, they certainly are NOT all the same. Killing threads since 2004.
  14. Uh, yesterday. About 1/2 a pound of deer jerky I had just dried the day before. And I wonder why it always goes so quickly! Killing threads since 2004.
  15. Used to follow it pretty closely when I was in school at Cincinnati in the late 90s, but haven't really kept up lately. Huge fan of watching it live, but have to be extremely bored to watch on TV. Killing threads since 2004.
  16. You mean Heidi Klum? Killing threads since 2004.
  17. It's a shit shoot. There are averages, but you are probably as likely to see a 75 degree day as you are a 30 degree day. Your bigger concern is probably with water temp in the event you missed the beach. I doubt you would want to spend very much time in the water! Killing threads since 2004.
  18. I'm just getting a kick out of seeing Cincinnati actually do something. When I was in school there (through 1999) the high school marching band competitions in the stadium drew more people than football homecoming. Just odd to not only turn on the TV and see a UC game televised, but to see the stadium full too, just unreal! Killing threads since 2004.
  19. I finally got rid of the Treo and went with the Samsung Rugby - love it. I've been considering upgrading my 5 crew phones to the Rugby, happy to hear you are happy. We are EXTREMELY rough on our phones, working in really dirty, hot and wet conditions. A few of us have gone to keeping our cheapo "part of the plan" cell phones in a zip lock bag but that doesn't work for long. We've used 9 of our 10 available insurance replacements as well as had numerous warranty replacements, so I think it's time for something a little more rugged. I love my personal Nextel/Sprint phone that's lasted for 5 years of the same abuse, but I'm having trouble convincing the boss that $130 x 5 is worth it. Killing threads since 2004.
  20. I enjoy Subway, actually eat there rather often, however the choices around me are slim to none. There is a Quizno's, however I look at them as two totally different options. Best ever? Mama Rosa's in Ridgewood, NJ. The Mama Rosa's special rocks my world. Haven't been in 4 or 5 years since my grandmother who lived there passed away. Was always fun going in there because the owner was around back when my dad and his brothers were little kids taking their allowance money up there for the same sandwich. Killing threads since 2004.
  21. Does the lemon juice freeze? Maybe make ice cubes with it to add a little lemon to drinks. More lemony the longer it takes you to drink it. Killing threads since 2004.
  22. "Burger Bundles" Flatten out about a handful of ground beef (something between 1/8 and 1/4 of an inch thick). In the middle place a blob of stuffing (I prefer the ease of Stove Top, but it tastes better with a good home made concoction). Wrap the burger around the stuffing, cover liberally in golden mushroom soup and bake for 1 hour at 350. Serve over fat egg noodles. Going to have to make this soon now that I'm thinking about it. Last time I made it the beef was a little thick, and each "bundle" weighed almost a pound. I love make little mini bundles as an appetizer. Killing threads since 2004.

    GPS Units

That's funny. I'm the opposite. I tend to become oblivious when driving long distance and often miss an exit, turn, etc. With a GPS I keep an eye on what towns I'm going through, etc. I rarely use it for actual navigation, just so I have an idea where I am and what is around me. When moving to a new town, which I've done a lot in the last few years, I find it great for learning names of streets and getting the layout of a town. Again, I don't actually navigate, just leave it rather zoomed out so I get a feeling for where I am in the town. Killing threads since 2004.
  24. Agreed on how great the fraud departments can be. I've been alerted twice, though for me both times I actually was the one using the card. When I used to tow my camper I would get all of about 5 to 6 mpg and it seemed like I stopped every 30 minutes to fill up. They shut me down after about 3 stops until I called and confirmed it was actually me. Killing threads since 2004.
  25. The Alienist by Caleb Carr - historical fiction - serial killer in late 19th/early 20th century NYC (T. Roosevelt is commissioner of police - raised my interest in Theodore Roosevelt) The Rise of Theodore Roosevelt - Edmund Morris - biography that reads like a novel. Pulitzer Prize winner. Really great look at Roosevelt's life up to the point of the assassination of McKinley. Catcher in the Rye - JD Salinger. Just love it. Have read it once or twice a year for about 15 years now. Love the writing style, every time I read it I get something different out of it. Can I get away with listing a fourth? I just finished reading the Lonesome Dove series of books. The other three don't compare to the original, but I enjoyed them all. Take the time to read the book, not just watch the movie. Seeing the movie kind of messed up the books for me because I didn't envision the characters anything like who portrayed them. Killing threads since 2004.
