there'd be an effort, but i dont know the effectiveness - but that's why i was asking for something plausible - that might have an actual outcome grounded in current capability and cost. exactly how is this to be done if this is even possible (which i dont think it is)?

So THAT's where Prior has been...the whole "can't pitch for the Cubs because he's been injured has been a cover story!! Seriously though, i'm just wondering what people see as a solution to this -- its not like you can round up 12 million people and send them to their places of origin. and i don't mean "enforce immigration laws" or general statements like that - i mean specific solutions grounded in reality based on costs of implementation, costs to everyone who's here legally (im thinking 4th amendment issues right now, but there could be other things too) and likelihood of success. edited to remove the bold.

as always, far more eloquent than I, Rocket. Yeah, that would have been a HUGE deal to change the standard on race stuff. The funny thing is that in bar-bri, they tell us that they dont test us on new cases and such, so in essence if an earth-shattering ruling were to come down, we'd still be tested on the outdated standard

if they make a 4th Terminator they should just either a) pretend the third one didn't happen or b) make it so that the third one was just a dream or something because it was a piece of poo that essentially destroyed the great storyline that had been laid down by the first two movies.

they said earlier in the broadcast they dont use rain tires at Indy because there's on "off the track" for the cars to slide off on to like you'd have in a road course -- if the cars slide they'd go straight into the concrete wall.

So far, I've only had torts (Equity is today) and the lecturer is Conviser (i think that's his name). pretty good lecturer, sounds a lot like dan rather actually. alright...off to that i go!

This is fun! can you tell i've had 2 days of Barbri torts lectures in preparation for the bar exam???

Does this include cutting welfare to all of the American citizens that are descendants of people who illegally sought refuge here during world war 2 or even before, or just mexicans coming over the border in the last few years that this has become a hot-topic issue?

i had the hooding ceremony yesterday, which was boring as hell, but whatever. bar review starts wed, so i dont have much time to chill, but a few days is better than nothing! Sunny, this summer i'll be trying to jump as much as i can, but it'll be at CSC....closer to the city, more laid back... i haven't jumped much lately in the last 2 years, so i need to get back on the horse before i head out to SDC again!

hey all i posted a thread bout bein done with the patent bar, which was awesome.... ...now, in 12 or so hrs, i graduate from law school!!! I'm an esquire, or doctor (juris doctor anyway) !!!! of course, i gotta pass the real bar, and also get a real job, but dammit...this feels good!!
