Bar exam results were posted last night, and I passed!! I'm extremely happy (and relieved) that all that work paid off.....the long, grueling journey that was preparing for that and taking it has finally ended... now the long grueling journey to find a job begins again..anyone need a patent/IP attorney?

I live about a block west of Wrigley Field - great for people watching, but SUCKS for parking! I think that, assuming i can get a nice lawyery job soon, I want to save money to move and I'm thinking Wicker Park is where I want to buy when the time comes. The South Loop is also growing a ton, but I don't really know the area, and south of the Loop is too full of Sox fans for my taste anyway. As for getting to the DZs -- getting to both is really easy, and both are world-class. Additionally, if you're going to be in Chicago soon, Nationals are right around the corner at SDC...

i think Microsoft recently extended the warranty on the xbox360 to three years ... look online im sure you'll be able to find the details. i have had a 360, a ps3 and a wii... love all of them, but the xbox has the best and most available games for the moment. i've not had a single problem with mine. i dont use it online because i don't play enough online to pay for xbox live.

hey everyone, my g/f is playing with photoshop cs3, and she imported jpgs and played with them, and the computer saves them as .psd files after she's done messing around with them. i was looking all over the thing, but i couldn't find where to convert them back to jpgs so as to post them on flickr and things like that. any help would be much appreciated Thanks! Tomas

well i got my ass handed to me in PMBR today - was freakin out til everyone else i know did shitty too...then we all looked at their averages, and now things are better. it's going to be a loooooooooooooong 10 or so days, but the light at the end of the tunnel is flickering (hopefully it's not the oncoming El...)

I want to go because a) i havent been to SDC in a while 2) i will have just taken the bar and it sounds like a great way to unwind and c) because of the jet. which leads me to my question - do jet tickets have to be purchased in advance? does anyone know how many jet loads they plan on doing a day (im thinking as much as demand allows, but i could be mistaken)?

eh, losing your soul doesn't hurt THAT much! in other news, I got my certificate from the US PAtent and Trademark Office - I am now a patent agent (will be a patent lawyer if i can pass this damn test)!

haha I'll have to keep that in mind. Im just kind of writing off real property as something i have troubles in and need to compensate with something else...of course i love how all my study in IP is glossed over in 2 sentences involving equity with trade secret and patent stuff... Tomorrow I have PMBR for the weekend so I'll see if my MBE score improved any from the practice one i did for barbri about a month ago.

Before the bar I kept having nightmares that I'd open the test book and all it would say is "explain the rule against perpetuities." I'll probably have the same nightmares.... the funny thing is i looked in my barbri books, my old case books, to find a suitable explanation that makes sense, but i couldn't. then i looked on wikipedia and now i understand it a lot better (but not completely). back to outlining crim law!

oh, and one more thing - as i study here i can just say... the rule against perpetuities can suck my balls.

Thanks -- yeah the plan for the next two weeks is to do craploads of problems...by that point i should be ready and if im not it's too late to fix it now. either way, i'm going to be nervous but im not going to freak out about it. and yeah... i AM one of those science types - engineering undergrad degree.... i passed the patent bar in may (just got published as a patent agent in the uspto website last week!), so im hopin i can get a job in august to start in september. loans kick in in february, which is kind of scary since i dont have a job yet... but all in good time! Im taking the IL bar - what states are people from/licensed in?

I take the bar exam in exactly 2 weeks (well, in 2 weeks i'll be doing the MBE part and then getting plastered)...hopefully i pass and can call myself a lawyer after that! I hope to be practicing in IP.

i was curious about that movie too.... also, i really want ot see the will smith movie where he's the last man on earth. i loved transformers, though - it was more than i expected from bay, and i really hope they get cracking on a sequel soon! plus, i've seen the original animated movie about a zillion times and i loved all the little references to it in this movie.
