H-mm it's not rare practice on some DZ's here to bring the first load (and some times last, or in case of someone jubillee )to 5 km (~16.5 grand)...without O2 of course:)... Regarding packing competition reglament: If it nessesary to jump the packjob (which of course resonable) what about good packers who does not jump at all? As other says - a snowboard helmet work just fine... Regarding Optima - it can be put in see pic (the strap you can see over optima - does not actually that hold it, just decided route an exess of strap that way almost all the strap routed thrugh the "brakets" on backside os the device and thrugh inner plastik net of the helmet) It was a little bit "pushing" on ear but after few jumps it became to feel cofortable of couse it will be not as easy to take it off (and probably I'll be a little bit confused by swoop signals during my first snowboard riding with mounted optima;) But...IMHO the price of a skydivers helmets is too high compared to it protective properties (going to buy an RAWA newertheless:) ) Why drink and drive, if you can smoke and fly?

Friend of mine have some troubles with Wings cutaway handle...He lost original handle on his last cutaway, tried to replace with other but the legth of long cable is not enough=( So now we can take spare handle from fellow skydiver's rig and go to DZ tomorrow but we don't shure if it will be good... Yes, but I found that when I pull slider down behind my head, the slider's rings remain "in the plase" without any slider stoppers on risers however what annoing - is that the center part of slider is flapping and came up to the helmet and... So (at least in my case): 1. Stoppers at the risers a) not needed b) don't do their job as I want to 2. Ball and bungee (Mil spec. large rubber band, sliced on 1/2) a) work just fine:) b) easy to make (don't need to sew anything) c) you even don't need to collapsing your slider - just roll the center few times and stow it! so no any trailing cords and you dont need to cock it after landing d) It's damn cool to contrive the answers on newbee's Q's "What for this ball???" Yep, I was told about it too, did try few times...(trying to fly like the Guy in "Learning to FF: Sitfly") but not very stable in it.
