  1. What people think, what people say and what they do - is often quite different things:) See this topic: http://www.dropzone.com/cgi-bin/forum/gforum.cgi?post=3044109;sb=post_latest_reply;so=ASC;forum_view=forum_view_collapsed;;page=unread#unread Why drink and drive, if you can smoke and fly?
  2. Why? Your canopy usually bigger than your wingsuit but provide less drag in sustained flight Yep, a better design almost allways better)) Why drink and drive, if you can smoke and fly?
  3. Don't need to collapse, just twist pull down through the slinks and stow on ball via rubber band = the same time as for pull through the slinks and collapse... Complete procedure after deployment is: steer with rears 90° to jump run (controling airspace) check air space/LZ/wind (change course if needed) pull down slider, twist few times, stow it sit deeper in harness loose the chest strap shut off the cam (optional) unstow the brakes ... Well usually I have enough time for all that stuff even when deployed a bit lower... Why drink and drive, if you can smoke and fly?
  4. See the pics attached to prev. post... Center of the slider is holded to the center of the rig's yoke, so the rest of the slider is pulled down and didn't interfere wtih vision and didn't flaping. The purpose of slider holding is not to hold grommets at the bottom of risers, but to keep the material of slider away from view and keep it silent. Why drink and drive, if you can smoke and fly?
  5. slock's just don't work for me... 1. If you have a big slider it can (and usually does) interfere with view and annoing with flaping even when his grommets are at the rings (down the risers)... 2. When I just stow slider behind my head - it's grommets usually stay at the rings without any gadgets like slocks, but it center part goes up and flaping =/ See the pics... So I use the half of rubber band and small soft ball (holded on a bungee which wrapped around the reserve flap) to stow my slider and keep it completely away from my view (I twist slider few times instead of collapsing it, stow behind my head and lock on the ball via rubber band). Slocks in my case just does not make a sence... P.S. All parts of the "construction" can (and sometimes did) be broken very easy and I doub't that it can hold my cutaway... 6. Deamn you have it right... Even, when we deploy the canopy - we don't increase the Drag (only for a short time during deceleration)but opposite, we decrease it cos increasing the L/D)... Why drink and drive, if you can smoke and fly?
  7. H-mm what about chest strap grip for 2+1 way hybrids? Why drink and drive, if you can smoke and fly?
  8. 1-50 Navigator 220 @ 1.1 50-300 Spectre 170 @ 1.35 300-500 Magellan 140 @ 1.6 500-> Odyssey 130 @ 1.8 P.S. Mike, do you want to compare % of uebans in skydiver's population at Skycentre and Dz.com? Why drink and drive, if you can smoke and fly?
  9. When I pull at 3.0K and had PCIT - I had plenty of time to recognize and try to fix it before my hard deck 3.0K - 1.8K = 8 sec! Why drink and drive, if you can smoke and fly?
  10. Thanks you guy's for advice:) Well, gonna try it (ectually not exactly XF2, but similar canopy) at 1.9+ Why drink and drive, if you can smoke and fly?
  11. AFAIK No one manufacturer here has TSO (and I doubt that it will be soon) only sertificate from Airtec P.S. For accuracy rig IMHO Zvezda is more suitable choice than others... Why drink and drive, if you can smoke and fly?
  12. I must agree. After a lot of testing I found 1.85 to be perfect on the Crossfire2. What do you think about 1.9 - 1.95 on this canopy (on 120 sh)? Would it (on your opinion) more "sweet" than ~1.75-1.8 on 130? Why drink and drive, if you can smoke and fly?
  13. What are you looking for? Harness/container? Canopy? For canopies - look also for skylark's (www.skylark.com.ua) thier canopy is just TFB As for harness, there is one more manufacturer www.parazone.ru I jumping their Status IV it's an older model but eve so - I find it quite good:) Friends of mine jumping newer generation of Zvezda's and Parazona's Harness and happy to... 14. Denser air = lower airspeed. AFAIR It's known, that at high altitude (low air densety) deployment can be fast and cause damage to equipment or body, so there is manufactorers, who specified max. opening altitude. It's noticed by many jumpers, that openings at cold or humid days are usually longer and softer:) Why drink and drive, if you can smoke and fly?
  15. Yes. Why drink and drive, if you can smoke and fly?

  17. How it could affect opening?? Why drink and drive, if you can smoke and fly?
  18. What do YOU think is an optimum WL range for NEOS? i.e. From which WL that canopy starts really fly (minimum WL which make sense)? WL when it's starting to degrade it's performance's Optimum WL? Particulary choose between 109@2.0-2.1 and 104@2.1-2.2 Why drink and drive, if you can smoke and fly?
  19. Why not to share "more indepth stuff" to public? I am also very interested in firsthand info about NEOS... (As well as in actually used NEOS in 104-109 range, h-mm... will you going to sell your canopy in the near future?:) ) BTW, will you think of saling your neos in near future Why drink and drive, if you can smoke and fly?
  20. I heard it as: "If you never lived you cannot die it's better to crash, than never to fly" One of my favorite qoute (another - qouted in my sig line) Why drink and drive, if you can smoke and fly?
  21. Oh Come on! Rain hurt??& WTF, are we skydivers or pussies? Ice - hurt, Hail - hurt, Rain - just a good masage Regarding drop's speed - pic attached
  22. H-mm Actually didn't get what it is:)... Why drink and drive, if you can smoke and fly?
  23. Yep:) it was always funny to see in foreign Movies, those Russians labels/sign/notices on Bad Russians Guys machinery So wellcome to the Russia, there are plenty of them:) Or you Why drink and drive, if you can smoke and fly?
  24. My russian skills translate that into : What for would you jump from a perfectly good An-2 It's says (wrote with poor grammar)~ "Turn handle down to the stop, push the door outward" ...In many-many DZ's here in Russia, AN-2 is the only jumpship that they have:) Why drink and drive, if you can smoke and fly?
  25. That's why i prefer be the rabbit:) You either can stretch the flock or at least run away from these "10 people tracking blindly in all directions" :) All in All, IMHO the tracking dive is less dangerous (due to natural horisontal separation and it's far less likely than somebody get low and deploy under ya, or strike ya and other in HD) than regular formations with same people taken. And it's has a ton of positive, since even if you chase the flock being ~100 ft from it - You are still in the race with flock! Why drink and drive, if you can smoke and fly?
