Hi everyone, It’s that time of the year again! On Sunday, May 28th (Memorial Day Weekend), I will be organizing the fourth annual Z-Hills 4-way Scrambles. If you have participated before, you know this is a fun day for everyone involved. If you haven’t had the opportunity, this is your chance! The scrambles are designed for jumpers of all skill levels to compete and learn. So far, prizes have been provided by Larsen & Brusgaard (makers of the ProTrack, Viso & Solo altimeters) as well as Performance Designs, Skydive City, Sunshine Factory, Sunrise Rigging and other industry businesses. For those of you not familiar with the format, all jumpers will be assigned a team based on your skill level and experience. Players will be evenly distributed via random drawing, so that all teams will have 1 experienced captain, 1 lower experienced jumper and 2 mid experienced jumpers. In the past we have had as many as 15 teams compete and there are never more than a few points separating the scores, proving a fairly level playing field. This event is open to any and all skydivers of any discipline. Low experience and skill level is not an issue. If you are interested in participating, please email me at okalb@yahoo.com. Add “scrambles” to the subject line to ensure that I will read it. Start time will be 8:00AM. Please be there on time as we need about an hour to collect tickets and draw the teams. The cost of the event is 4 jump tickets for the 4 rounds and $20 to cover the video. TK has also agreed to a SkydiveCity sponsored BBQ that night. Please forward this to anyone that might be interested. Thanks -OK Time flies like an arrow....fruit flies like a banana

Actually, I was planning on putting together some tournaments at the DZ this summer. Time flies like an arrow....fruit flies like a banana

All things considered I thought it was appropriate. As the longest sitting chairman of the senate foreign relations committee, I think he has more experience than most. Funny thing is that he said that in 1966. Time flies like an arrow....fruit flies like a banana

I think senator J William Fulbright described it best when he said: "Power tends to confuse itself with virtue and a great nation is particularly susceptible to the idea that its power is a sign of God's favor, conferring upon it a special responsibility for other nations — to make them richer and happier and wiser, to remake them, that is, in its own shining image. Power confuses itself with virtue and tends also to take itself for omnipotence. Once imbued with the idea of a mission, a great nation easily assumes that it has the means as well as the duty to do God's work." Time flies like an arrow....fruit flies like a banana

I is no different than the people who voted for Clinton as the worst president in the other thread. Not one has stepped up and given any reasons why yet. None has even admitted to voting for him. Time flies like an arrow....fruit flies like a banana

look at the picture, because it looks very nice. Because it's a very traditional subject. Because the person likes dragons, Because it's a subject where you can play withcolors. Many reasons... My Back http://www.blueskytraining.com/dragon.jpg Time flies like an arrow....fruit flies like a banana

Safety Day is this Saturday, who is doing what, where??
okalb replied to GogglesnTeeth's topic in The Bonfire
There will be lots of seminars going on all day at z-hills. I believe I will be doing one on exits and exit separation, although I am not sure where I fit in the schedule yet, so I have no idea what time my seminar is. Time flies like an arrow....fruit flies like a banana -

I will never understand why people get so bent out of shape about celebs with a political message. How is what they do any different than what we do here in speakers corner? You believe in something, so you post about it and talk to your friends and anyone else who will listen hoping to change people's minds and get them on board for your cause. Should the fact that they are celebrities and have access to more people than you do mean they shouldn't be entitled to use any means at their disposal to rally support for their cause? Everyone in SC posts here because it gives them the ability to get their message out to as many people as possible. If you had the ability to have your feelings/opinions printed in every magazine, would you stop speaking, or would your message change? Their opinions are no more or less valid than yours or mine, they just have a bigger audience. To your statement about them saying they would leave the country, lots of people said that about Bush. Lots of people said that about Clinton. Do you think that you or anyone else on SC has never felt so strongly or been so over zealous about something that you may have said something a little stronger than you should have? Maybe said something that although you though it, you wished you wouldn't have said it in you outside voice. Why should their statements be etched in stone and yours shouldn't. I also find it funny that every time I hear people complain about celebs being political it is about those damn whiney liberals. I don't hear you bitching about Charlton Heston's political message. What about the right wing celebs like Bruce Willis, Patricia Heaton, Ron Silver, Arnold Schwarzenegger (before actually running for office), Andy Garcia, Dennis Hopper...etc. Is it OK for celebs to have a political agenda as long as they jive with yours? Do you oppose same-sex marriage for religious reasons?

Arlo and I are supposed to have a regular weekly date at Publix but she stood me up the last few times. Do you think she's cheating on me? rl I am sorry to be the one that has to tell you this, but I actually saw her at the Winn Dixie with another woman. Yes, but you're also short and green. No one wants us to be taken over by a race of short, green...what are you, anyway? Why you gotta go there...gotta play the race thing...not only do you support those damn fags in their quest to get special treatment, but now you got somthing against short green dudes as well. RACIST! Just remember you are in Deland, I have friends in low places there that can take care of your kind for me Time flies like an arrow....fruit flies like a banana -

I grew up in a house with no father figure at all. Dad was running around with whatever woman he was married to at the time (there were 4). I was however, raised by my mother and her girlfriend in a lesbian household. Most adults I knew as a child were homosexual. I have marched in many a gay rights parade. After all of that, guess what, I am straight. Imagine that. Time flies like an arrow....fruit flies like a banana -

That is exactly what I was going to say. People who want to have children enough to go through the process of adopting are generally going to provide a loving and healthy home for that child. That is so much more important than the sex of the parents involved. Who cares if they are the same or opposite sexes. If they love their child and teach them how to behave in the world and provide a good stable home life, that child has a chance. To say that the child will have problems because they grew up in a gay home is absurd. That is just as ridiculous as saying they will be fine because they grew up in a straight home. >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Sorry, but I am not bright enough to make the connection. The R-Max - that I jumped recently was made entirely of white F-111 fabric. I have also packed a few Raven Dash MZ reserves that had ZP top skins. What am I missing? Sorry, my bad...my eyes and brain were doing 2 different things. Thats right, I forgot you have been in the sport for like 5 minutes but you know everything about me and the history of the manufacturers in this sport. You know it's funny, I rarely ever post in gear and rigging and almost every time I have, you have been there to challenge me. I just want to say thanks for being here. We need people like you around. As you can see from what I quoted above your posts are very informative. Time flies like an arrow....fruit flies like a banana

Why not? Sparky Actually, I shouldn't say I wouldn't trust anything else. I would prefer not to jump anything else. Out of the choices in the poll, I would jump a smart. I actually had a new smart, but had the option to trade it for a new PD so I did. Only because I felt more comfortable given that I have plenty of rides on a PDR. I also prefer to jump PD products when possible because I think they are a great company with fantastic customer service. Given past experiences, I prefer not to jump anything that it is made by precision, so the R-Max is out. Time flies like an arrow....fruit flies like a banana

I have 8 Rides on a PDR loaded at about 1.7:1. Fantastic openings and a suprisingly powerful flare considering it is an F-111 parachute loaded at 1.7:1 I wouldn't trust anything else! Time flies like an arrow....fruit flies like a banana

That comment is completely off base, it was a gay bar which would probably mean that there were lesbians there to handle the rough stuff Time flies like an arrow....fruit flies like a banana -
How many times have you been asked your measurements?
okalb replied to pacncathyjr's topic in The Bonfire
Mariah, quit it! You don't have measurements! You are still 8 years old as far as I am concerned and you will stay that way. You are still that little kid sleeping in a pile of canopies and I refuse to allow you to grow up. The older you get, the older I get! You don't have measurements,,,,la la la la la la la la la...I'm not listening to you.....la la la la la! -OK Time flies like an arrow....fruit flies like a banana -
I have had tivo for years. I wanted a second unit for the bedroom, so I decided to try the one from the cable company. I send it back after 2 weeks and bought another Tivo. If you have never had the real Tivo, you will think what the cable company gives you is great. Once you have Tivo, everything else is crap. -OK Time flies like an arrow....fruit flies like a banana
